Spider-Noir teaser leaked: Nicolas Cage emerges from the shadows in live-action Spider-Man spin-off show
Nicolas Cage first appeared as the voice of Spider-Noir, a Spider-Man variant, in Marvel's Oscar-winning animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in 2018. Now, he's all set to reprise the role in a spin-off show dedicated entirely to the character. However, this would be a live-action version, which will release in 2026 on Prime Video in both black-and-white and colour.
Prime Video made the announcement at the Amazon Upfront event on Monday. It also officially unveiled the first look of Cage in the Spider-Noir costume on its social media handles with the caption, 'Your first look at Spider-Noir, a new live-action series starring Nicolas Cage, coming 2026 in both black-and-white and color.'

The teaser of Spider-Noir, that was unveiled to the media present at the event, also leaked on social media. As per the teaser, the show is set in the 1930s and has a noir setting. The voiceover in the teaser states, 'Have you seen it out there? The city is a mess! The people could use a hero.' We see parts of Cage's face as it emerges from the shadows, with him wearing a black hat and gloves.

We also see him swing to action in his costume, combating a guy with a gun inside a darkened room. 'I hope they find someone,' says Cage's muffled voice. In the next shot, the lights switch on and the guy finds Spider-Noir standing right behind him, flashing his goggles. Cage's look as Spider-Noir stays true to the comic books.

After his Spider-Noir spin-off show in 2026, Cage is also expected to return as the voice of the character in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse in 2027, the third instalment in the animated Spider-Man franchise, which kicked off with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in 2018. It was followed by the sequel, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, in 2023.
