In one episode, Richard Madeley, Sian Welby and Axel Blake tackled the legendary game show.
But it was This Morning legend Richard, 69, who ultimately reached the final round.
He had already accumulated an impressive £7,400 for charity Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust.
The super catchphrase is split into five sections with each of them holding a certain amount of cash which increases upon each level.
Joining host Stephen Mulhern, it was clear Richard had a shaky start to the final round.
The first puzzle he faced depicted a group of eyeballs sat at desks and writing, while it panned to a sign reading "Exam".
Richard's guesses included "eyes down" and "eyeballs" before deciding to pass.
The next riddle showed Mr. Chips driving a van with a giant burger attached to the back.
However, Richard was similarly flummoxed and passed on this one as well.
After a slow start, the TV presenter found a rhythm and answered a few correctly.
Celebrity Catchphrase stumps soap legend with tricky puzzles - but could you get them right?
He also managed to deduce number 11 - meaning he doubled his fellow celebrities' totals for their charities.
In a nail-biting moment, he worked out it was "few and far between" with just seconds to spare.
Richard ultimately won £10,000 in the final round, as well as his £7,600 from earlier.
Speaking afterwards, Stephen told him: "You're going to kick yourself on a couple of these.
Hardest Quiz Show Questions
Would you know the answers to some of quizzing TV's hardest questions
Who Wants To Be A Millionaire - Earlier this year, fans were left outraged after what they described as the "worst" question in the show's history. Host Jeremy Clarkson asked: 'From the 2000 awards ceremony onwards, the Best Actress Oscar has never been won by a woman whose surname begins with which one of these letters?' The multiple choice answers were between G, K, M and W. In the end, and with the £32,000 safe, player Glen had to make a guess and went for G. It turned out to be correct as Nicole Kidman, Frances McDormand and Kate Winslet are among the stars who have won the Best Actress gong since 2000.
The 1% Club - Viewers of Lee Mack's popular ITV show were left dumbfounded by a question that also left the players perplexed. The query went as follows: "Edna's birthday is on the 6th of April and Jen's birthday falls on the 15th of October, therefore Amir's birthday must be the 'X' of January." It turns out the conundrum links the numbers with its position in the sentence, so 6th is the sixth word and 15th is the fifteenth word. Therefore, Amir's birthday is January 24th, corresponding to the 24th word in the sentence.
The Chase - The ITV daytime favourite left fans scratching their heads when it threw up one of the most bizarre questions to ever grace the programme. One of the questions asked the player: "Someone with a nightshade intolerance should avoid eating what?" The options were - sweetcorn, potatoes, carrots - with Steve selecting sweetcorn but the correct answer was potatoes.
"But it doesn't really matter now, you've won £10,000."
The elusive answers turned out to be "eye test" and "burger van", respectively.
However, he is not the first star to face difficult puzzles on the ITV show.

ITV's Lorraine overtakes major show in ratings amid savage schedule cuts
Lorraine is set to undergo major change next year as part of ITV's daytime schedule shake-up - however, the chat show has reportedly received some good ratings news ITV's Lorraine has reportedly seen its viewing figures shoot up despite the daytime show facing savage cuts in the coming months. The long-running chat show has been fronted by Christine Lampard over the last few weeks during the summer holidays. The show will face a major shake-up next year as ITV's daytime slate undergoing huge change. Lorraine will be cut down to only 30 minutes and will air for just 30 weeks of the year, while Good Morning Britain will be extended by half an hour to fill the gap despite the team being braced for redundancies. Now, Lorraine has seen a boost in viewing figures, with the show reportedly attracting a peak of 700,000 viewers yesterday. This means that it took over This Morning, which attracted 675,000 viewers with its programme hosted by Dermot O'Leary and Rochelle Humes. It comes after Lorraine Kelly signed a huge deal with ITV rival amid the cuts. A TV insider told The Daily Mail: "You can only imagine what Lorraine will think. Whilst she's on holiday Christine steps into her shoes and suddenly her show takes over This Morning." The Mirror has reached out to ITV for comment. Earlier this week, Lorraine contributor Nicola Thorp made her opinions known on Keir Starmer's response to the Lioness football win. After the prime minister decided to stay in Scotland with Donald Trump after the Lionesses' historic win, ex Coronation Street star Nicola labelled the move as "appalling". "Awful. Sorry - this is a big slap in the face to the women. What does it say to women? That our prime minister is going to go up to Scotland to meet Donald Trump, considering what Donald Trump thinks about women, rather than come and meet the Lionesses. I think it's actually appalling. It's not that difficult to fly from London to Scotland and back," she said. While during yesterday's show, singer Lulu stopped by the programme and opened up about the loss of Ozzy Osbourne, making a plea to widow Sharon just hours before the funeral. Standing next to stand-in host Christine, she said: "I wanna say, Sharon, I know you won't be watching but if anyone is watching, Melinda, can you call me? I know they're busy but I want to get hold of you guys because I really, really want to be there to support Sharon."

Ozzy and Sharon's love story: Fans share heartwarming clips of the Osbournes as rocker calls wife his 'soulmate'and says he would've been 'dead long ago' without her
Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne were one of the music industry's most famous couples. They married in 1982 after three years of dating and were together until Ozzy's death in July aged 76. Their relationship played out in the public eye from their earliest years together when Sharon managed his career to their family life on MTV reality show The Osbourne's. Through it all, Ozzy frequently spoke of his enduring love for his wife, who he called his 'soulmate' and credited her with saving his life. After his passing, fans have been sharing heartwarming clips of the pair speaking of their love for each other through the years. The Instagram account @RockandLoveofficial shared a clip of Ozzy speaking on the family's podcast where he said he 'couldn't live' without Sharon. 'Sharon is like my soulmate. Sometimes I love her, sometimes I don't love her. Sometimes I'm angry with her. Sometimes I'm crazy about her,' he said. 'Sometimes I'm very jealous of her. Sometimes I wanna f*****g kill her. But through it all at the end of the day, I love her more than anything in the world. I couldn't live without her, I don't want to live without her.' Sharon, who was sat alongside him, said: 'Ditto.' 'And my love for her now is bigger than it ever has been,' he finished. In another clip, Ozzy credited Sharon with keeping him alive during an interview with Zane Lowe in 2023. 'She's my heart and soul,' he said. 'How lucky I am to have what I have, if it wasn't for Sharon, I would've been dead long ago. I wouldn't've lasted.' 'Me too,' Sharon said. View this post on Instagram A post shared by HeavyMetalHardRock (@heavymetalhardrock) In another clip, Ozzy credited Sharon with keeping him alive during an interview with Zane Lowe in 2023 'You would've died of f*****g shopping,' Ozzy quipped to which Sharon laughed. Another clip of Sharon speaking about what first attracted her to Ozzy during a past interview on AXS TV. When asked if it was love at first sight, Sharon said, 'no, no, not at all.' Discussing how they got together, she said: 'In 79 we were working together and it was 80 it started. We were working together and it became something else.' Asked what she found attractive about Ozzy, Sharon said: 'He was so funny, so funny and quick witted, and yet very vulnerable. 'I just thought he was the funniest, sweetest guy I'd ever met because he was so vulnerable about everything and that attracted me to him.' Sharon paid a touching tribute to Ozzy as she led his emotional funeral procession on Wednesday. The Black Sabbath rocker died on July 22 and his funeral cortege travelled through his hometown of Birmingham on Wednesday. His grief-stricken wife Sharon and children Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis led the parade and stopped at Black Sabbath Bridge to an outpouring of love from the crowd. Sharon, 72, paid a subtle tribute to her late husband during the ceremony as she wore Ozzy's ring around her neck. She was seen wearing the recognisable gold ring featuring a row of diamonds around her neck on a chain. The distinctive piece of jewellery is believed to be Ozzy's wedding band, and he has been seen wearing it on his ring finger in recent years. According to reports, Ozzy has been wearing the ring since their 2017 vow renewal - which took place 35 years after they originally tied the knot. During the funeral, Sharon also held her hands up and gave a double peace sign - a gesture which has become synonymous with the metal star. Ozzy previously explained the significance behind the gesture, telling Rolling Stone in 2002: 'We were the last hippie band. We were into peace.' Huge crowds descended on Birmingham on Wednesday to pay tribute to the beloved Prince of Darkness at his funeral procession. The funeral cortege was led by a live brass band, Bostin' Brass, who performed versions of Black Sabbath songs such as Iron Man, as thousands of tearful devotees lined the streets and sang along in Ozzy's memory. The hearse carrying the singer's coffin - adorned with purple flowers spelling out 'Ozzy' - passed the star's childhood home in Lodge Road, Aston, shortly after midday. Flowers had been placed outside the terraced property, close to Villa Park, while the owners of the house put up a picture of Osbourne in the front bay window. Sharon led the procession with her children Jack, Aimee and Kelly and Ozzy's son Louis from his first marriage as they comforted each other amid their devastating grief. Thousands of people were pictured taking their places not only on Black Sabbath Bridge but along the city centre route along which his cortege travelled towards the Black Sabbath Bridge bench. Fans clapped and cheered chanting 'Ozzy, Ozzy, Ozzy' as the rock legend's hearse passed through the streets of Birmingham as Sharon watched on and brushed away tears. Ozzy and his Black Sabbath bandmates - Terence 'Geezer' Butler, Tony Iommi and Bill Ward - were recently given the freedom of the city of Birmingham, which recognises people's exceptional service to the city.
