Leaked gameplay reveals a GTA 6 prone feature Rockstar quietly dropped
Source: Rockstar Games
A leaked clip that surfaced recently has raised some eyebrows among the Grand Theft Auto fan community by featuring protagonist Jason executing a prone or crawling action, a first for the series.
The clip, allegedly recorded from an early development build of GTA 6, has fueled speculations on whether the mechanic was originally intended as part of the core gameplay mechanics or merely a test drive. Most have come to accept that the ability was eventually cut out of the final version.
Video captures Jason crawling in early dev build
The leaked gameplay appeared on Reddit and social media, depicting Jason going prone, flat on the ground, crawling, similar to stealth or military titles.
The video looked legit, with fans pointing out early HUD features and animation holders common in in-dev builds.
This new movement caused instant speculation. Some assumed it was the beginning of a stealth gameplay redesign, possibly offering players increased tactical choices during missions. Others figured it could have been a scripted sequence for a cutscene or one-shot scene, much like set-piece scenes in previous GTA games.
The video was promising in its potential to add variety to gameplay mechanics, but it also sparked concerns over how that would impact balance, particularly in multiplayer.
Removed from final build along with other cut features
Soon after the leak, various reputable insiders and GTA news sites confirmed the prone ability had been cut from the final game. It is part of an increasing number of mechanics, a list that includes dual-wielding and burglary mini-games, which Rockstar apparently cut after testing internally.
Sources are saying the prone option failed to meet Rockstar's expectations and was scrapped because of problems related to mission design balance and online playability. Some insiders called the mechanic
"clunky"
and out of sync with the game's flow.
Rockstar has yet to comment on the footage officially or explain why the feature was dropped.
Although the prone mechanic could have brought a new depth to GTA 6 gameplay, it seems Rockstar decided that it wanted things to remain lean and uncluttered. The leaked clip provided a glimpse of what might have been, a reminder of how much changes in development before a game is released. Fans want to know: what else was cut from the cutting room floor?

Optical illusion: Only people with exceptional visual focus can find the camouflaged dog in this image
Optical illusions are more than just entertaining visuals—they're brain teasers that challenge our perception and test our ability to notice hidden details. These visual puzzles often go viral because they tap into how our brain interprets patterns, light, and spatial orientation. If you're a fan of mind-bending challenges, we've found one that might just stump you. (Also read: Optical illusion: You've got eagle eyes if you can spot the hidden white cat in this image) A tricky optical illusion has been shared by Reddit user dragonboy. The image captures a tranquil winter landscape: a snow-dusted forest floor scattered with fallen leaves, leafless trees stretching skyward, and a peaceful river flowing. But hidden somewhere in this calm and serene setting is a dog—well-camouflaged and perfectly blended with the surroundings. At first glance, the image appears devoid of any animals, which is exactly what makes this puzzle so compelling. Check out the puzzle here: Your task is simple yet surprisingly difficult—spot the hidden dog. According to those who solved it, the dog is not randomly placed but positioned in a spot that makes the illusion all the more clever. If you're still searching, here's a subtle hint: focus your gaze toward the centre of the image. The dog is a Dalmatian, and thanks to its distinctive black-and-white spots, it almost disappears against the snowy and leafy background. Its position—dead centre—makes it all the more frustrating for those scanning the edges and corners first. The popularity of such illusions continues to grow across the internet, captivating users of all ages with their ability to trick the eyes and challenge the mind. These visual puzzles spark curiosity, ignite friendly competition, and often lead to lively debates in comment sections as people share what they see—or fail to see. (Also read: Optical illusion: If you find the hidden frog in this image, you truly have eyes like a hawk) Not only are these puzzles entertaining, but they also engage the brain in meaningful and stimulating ways. They enhance cognitive skills, promote sharper attention to detail, and improve visual memory. It's no surprise that these illusions go viral so frequently—they're equal parts fun, frustrating, and fascinating.

How to refund MindsEye from PlayStation?
There have been huge anticipations regarding MindsEye, developed by studio Build a Rocket Boy and published by IO Interactive. We have heard the latter several times, thanks a the bald assassin, but it was the first project for the former. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now As the game was directed by founder of Rockstar North and former producer of GTA, Leslie Benzies, fans were ready to witness a masterpiece, just like the Grand Theft Auto series. But instead of following the path of GTA, MindsEye seems to be following the trails of Cyberpunk 2077. PlayStation is refunding the MindsEye fans MindsEye was released on June 10, 2025, with . But it seems, the tables have turned over its head out of nowhere. Since the launch of this narrative-driven single-player third-person shooter, there have been only complaints for the fans. Many players stated that despite being released in 2025, this game is using outdated gameplay mechanics of the early-2010s shooters. On the other hand, glitches and bugs became constant to the game. Yes, as a newly launched game, these issues are quite normal. But the infestation had become so bad that some people didn't even manage to try out the game. For example, NPCs are randomly floating in the game or cars are exploding out of nowhere, ragdoll distortions, and many more. The game is so poorly optimized that even a powerful console like PS5 is unable to provide constant 30 FPS (which is also capped at that limit.) Amidst this turmoil, Build a Rocket Boy has acknowledged the situation with MindsEye and says it is 'heartbroken' regarding everything happening around. The company has also promised the fans to be patient as it is planning to release the game's first update between June 13 to June 15 on both PCs and consoles, which is the potential fix for all these persisting issues. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now However, fans don't seem to be pretty patient in this scenario as many of them have already started demanding refunds for their piece. Just like in the case of Cyberpunk 2077, many of those fans have already started getting refunds as well. You can get yours as well. All you need to do is to go to the PlayStation Support and ask about the refund for your MindsEye copy. After verifying some details, PlayStation will refund you back. Read More:
