Oasis weigh up offers for huge gigs in 2026 including four Knebworth anniversary shows after success of reunion tour

The Sun5 hours ago
JUST weeks after Oasis' sell-out 41-date reunion tour kicked off, I was inundated with calls about what was being lined up next for Noel and Liam Gallagher.
According to two of my contacts, the brothers have been offered four huge shows at Knebworth House next year — to mark the 30th anniversary of their two historic concerts there in 1996.
15
If the rockers take up the offer, the shows would see them beating their former foe Robbie Williams' achievement of playing the iconic Hertfordshire venue three times.
Another three of my moles then called up at the start of last month — to tell me they'd heard about a possible residency at the Etihad Stadium, home of their beloved Manchester City.
Weeks later, the rumours started to build online, with fake posters circulated and fan forums alight with talk of the potential to keep the reunion alive.
A well-placed insider, who works for a major promoter, told me: 'I could see all of this happening.
'There is so much on the table but it's whether Noel and Liam want to do it.'
Those close to the band tell me Noel and Liam are not considering anything for 2026, with no solid plans or bookings locked in.
'They'll be having a well-earned holiday as soon as this tour finishes later this year,' a source explained.
'As for 2026, they've seen the speculation, they've heard about the offers and they know what the fans want.
'Keep magic going'
'But it's ultimately up for them to decide.
'The Oasis reunion hasn't just been concerts. You can see that it's been a cultural movement. Nothing comes close in recent history to Oasis's shows.
Liam Gallagher in fresh foul-mouthed rant at Edinburgh Council during Oasis night two
'It's a question of whether Noel and Liam want to draw a line in the sand and close the door on this chapter, knowing they captured the zeitgeist. Or do they strike it up again and keep the magic going? It's a difficult decision to make.'
Last month I revealed that private bidders and festivals — including Coachella in the US and Benicassim in Spain — have sent in offers for the band to consider.
All those, I've been told, have so far been stonewalled.
As a fan, I'd love the chance to see them live just one last time.
But if Noel and Liam do decide that this is it, then I'm counting my lucky stars I got to be there in Cardiff, on the second night of the comeback.

Jamie a dip of all right
JAMIE DORNAN is apparently a big fan of cold-water swimming, which makes him the natural fit to promote, er, Diet Coke.
I'm certainly not complaining.
15
15
One of the fittest men in cinema got his kit off to show off his passion – and abs – in the latest advert for the soft drink.
And it's a victory against woke silliness.
Jamie is flashing his hard-earned bod in this ad, but covered up in a wetsuit when he first teamed up with the brand last year.
He said: 'Cold-water swimming is a passion that's become very important to me. It's my way of finding a moment for myself and I try to do it as often as I can.
'I hope that giving a peek behind the scenes of my lesser-known passion inspires others to take a moment for themselves, crack open an ice-cold Diet Coke, and explore their own personal tastes.'
Whatever you say, Jamie.
ANGELINA JOLIE is preparing to sell the Hollywood home she spent $24.5million on in 2017.
According to reports in the US, the six-bed, ten-bath house has a wine cellar, gym, tea house and views of the Griffith Observatory, overlooking Los Angeles.
15
She spent the pandemic at the property, which was once owned by legendary filmmaker Cecil B. DeMille.
Angelina snapped it up so her kids would be near their father Brad Pitt after the couple split.
But she is now getting ready to put the house back on the market, ahead of their youngest child's 18th birthday next year.
MAURA'S ISLANDER FAME LOW
MAURA HIGGINS feels like she has post-traumatic stress disorder after finding fame on Love Island.
She was the breakout star from the 2019 series but said she had bad advisers, ending up in a dark place before taking control.
15
Maura said: 'When I came off Love Island, I didn't know this industry very well. I took on way too much, and things I didn't necessarily enjoy at the time.
'There were moments after Love Island where I was so unhappy. I was crying a lot. When I look back, it actually gives me some PTSD.
'I'm so fortunate now that I've got such an incredible team around me and we trust each other. That has changed everything for me.'
Maura has an upcoming appearance on The Traitors US and told Original Magazine: 'I can't say too much yet about how it all played out, but let's just say viewers are going to be absolutely hooked.'
FLORENCE REVS UP MACHINE
FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE are teasing a return to music – three years after the release of their fifth album Dance Fever.
Frontwoman Florence Welch hinted at the project yesterday when she posted a 23-second video on Instagram that showed her wearing a red dress digging a hole.
15
In what is believed to be a snippet of an upcoming video, she then put down her trowel and screamed repeatedly into the space in the ground.
That's what I feel like doing on a Monday morning, too, Florence.
But I just hope the new music doesn't make me want to do that.
Jenna takes a brow
IF there were any raised eyebrows from Jenna Ortega over questions at her latest press conference, you wouldn't have been able to tell.
She showed off bleached brows while speaking to journalists in South Korea on Sunday.
Wearing this arty top with a spooky face, the actress continued to promote her hit Netflix show Wednesday.
Jenna, who plays the title character, has had rave reviews for her role in the second series of the Addams Family spin-off, in which she appears alongside Billie Piper and Dame Joanna Lumley.
The latest episodes also see her have a sword fight with mum Morticia, played by Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Catherine said: 'As many parents know, the teenage mother-daughter relationship can be a little contentious. And that's very contentious in Wednesday, too.
'Jenna Ortega, I adore. And I had so much fun. As our characters, we play this verbal, emotional kind of duel. And then the writers put that into a physical form. And we just had fun.'
JADE VID JORD JOY
JADE's boyfriend Jordan Stephens has made it clear he is her No1 cheerleader.
So I bet he was over the moon when the Little Mix singer asked him to feature in her next video.
15
15
I've learned she shot scenes last week for the clip, which will be out in the next few weeks ahead of her album That's Showbiz Baby, which drops on September 12.
A music insider said: 'Jordan and Jade are huge supporters of each other and it meant a lot that he wanted to be in the video.
'It's not a big part because he wasn't on set for the whole thing. It will be a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment, but also very special.
'They know that their fans will love to try to spot him in the finished video when it comes out in a few weeks' time.'
Jade will be the first Little Mix member to release a solo album when the project comes out – three years after the group performed their final concert.
She has been dating Rizzle Kicks star Jordan for five years and he is regularly by her side supporting her, despite having a hectic schedule of his own.
Speaking earlier this year, he said: 'My girlfriend earns more money than me. She's super successful, and I f***ing love it.'
BEYONCE: HATS OFF TO TOUR DANCERS
BEYONCE has splashed out thousands of pounds on her dancers after finally wrapping up the epic Cowboy Carter world tour.
The Drunk In Love singer gave all of her team luxury goodies from Louis Vuitton as a thank you for their hard work on the road since April.
15
The tour, which included six nights at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in June, wrapped at the end of July.
Beyonce's big gesture follows that of her mate Taylor Swift who gave mega bonuses to her dancers and crew after her Eras Tour last year.
It's good to see these huge music stars not taking their team for granted.
Joe and Demi's ex factor
JOE JONAS and Demi Lovato reunited on stage 15 years after their short-lived relationship, proving it's all water under the bridge now.
He was performing alongside his siblings Kevin and Nick, as the Jonas Brothers kicked off their 20th-anniversary tour in New Jersey.
Joe welcomed Demi out to sing This Is Me and Wouldn't Change A Thing from the 2008 Disney movie Camp Rock, in which they played boyfriend and girlfriend. He even had a hug for his old flame.
It has been revealed that a third Camp Rock film is in the works, which would follow the second one that came out in 2010.
Teasing his possible involvement last week, Nick said: 'I can neither confirm nor deny that is happening or not. You'll just have to wait and see.'
Well, this collaboration on stage isn't going to quieten any speculation.
THE summer of 2025 will go down as one of the biggest ever for music.
But 2026 is already looking promising too!
15
My Chemical Romance have become the first to announce they will headline Wembley Stadium, with shows there on July 10 and 11 next year.
Tickets for the shows from the American rockers, who will be marking two decades since Welcome To The Black Parade topped the UK charts, will go on sale at 10am on Friday.
HORROR movie Weapons fended off Freakier Friday to top the UK box office at the weekend.
The 18-rated film, starring Josh Brolin and Julia Garner took £2.6million, which trumped the £1.8million for Lindsay Lohan's Disney sequel.
Elsewhere, The Fantastic Four: First Steps added £1.4million in its third week, taking its total to £19million, while Pamela Anderson's The Naked Gun took £1.1million, meaning it has now made £4.4million since its release almost a fortnight ago.
JAMES ON HAND IN BUM DEAL
EARLY talks are under way to take immersive play You Me Bum Bum Train to Las Vegas.
The two-hour spectacle, whose fans include Prince Harry and Madonna, sees guests turned into stars of the show.
Celebrities from all over the world flew in to London to take part and Bizarre's Jack was lucky enough to get a ticket in March.
Sources tell me superfan James Corden helped introduce creators Kate Bond and Morgan Lloyd to bigwigs at MGM in Sin City.
One said: 'James has been a huge fan for years and volunteered on the latest run of shows in Covent Garden this year.
'They are looking at possible ways to take the show to America without ruining the magic of it.
'The fear is that if it becomes too commercial it will be ruined. The whole point is that tickets are like gold dust and what happens inside stays a secret.'

Celebrity SAS Who Dares Wins axes ex army corporal for 'lying and cheating' on the show - resulting in an explosive row

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins has claimed two more high-profile departures, with one contestant dramatically thrown off the show for 'lying and cheating' while another walked away in agony. The brutal Channel 4 challenge has already seen a string of early exits, including S Club's Hannah Spearritt, TV personality Louie Spence, and Love Islanders Chloe Burrows and Tasha Ghouri - and Wednesday's episode delivered even more shocks. The fourth episode's theme focused on trust and integrity, but tensions exploded as former Traitors winner Harry Clark, 24, was booted from the course by furious staff after being caught cutting corners. Harry – whose skills in deception helped him scoop the Traitors crown – found his tactics backfired when his Celebrity SAS teammates branded him one of the least trustworthy recruits. Alongside Rebecca Loos, he was put in charge of a team for a gruelling race involving hauling a heavy dinghy. But as ex-Special Forces instructors Mark 'Billy' Billingham, Jason 'Foxy' Fox, Rudy Reyes, and Chris Oliver watched on, Harry appeared to avoid his share of the workload. His lack of effort left former football hardman Adebayo 'The Beast' Akinfenwa taking on the bulk of the weight – triggering a flare-up of his long-term knee injury. In pain and out of energy, Adebayo had no choice but to withdraw from the show entirely. Earlier in the show Jason Fox could be heard saying: 'If we get an indication that a recruit isn't pulling their weight, we will find out' so when back at camp, Harry was hauled in for a no-nonsense grilling. When confronted over failing to complete an earlier set of burpees, the staff accused him of lying straight to their faces. 'Are you f***ing trying to pull the wool over my eyes?!' Chris raged, before adding the star was treating him 'like an idiot'. Moments later, the ex army corporal was marched out in front of the rest of the recruits, and admitted that he had 'cut corners' and not completed all the burpees. Mark then shouted: 'No, you lied, you cut corners, I asked you three times about honesty and integrity, and what did you do?' Harry replied: 'I lied, staff.' Harry was put in charge of a team for a gruelling race involving hauling a heavy dinghy, but as ex-Special Forces instructors Mark 'Billy' Billingham, Jason 'Foxy' Fox, Rudy Reyes, and Chris Oliver watched on, Harry appeared to avoid his share of the workload His lack of effort left former football hardman Adebayo 'The Beast' Akinfenwa taking on the bulk of the weight – triggering a flare-up of his long-term knee injury - meaning he had no choice but to withdraw from the show entirely Earlier in the show Jason Fox could be heard saying: 'If we get an indication that a recruit isn't pulling their weight, we will find out' so when back at camp, Harry was hauled in for a no-nonsense grilling Moments later, the ex army corporal was marched out in front of the rest of the recruits, and admitted that he had 'cut corners' and not completed all the burpees His dismissal was immediate, with the DS ordering him to hand over his armband and leave, while his stunned co-stars looked on. Earlier in the episode, Harry joked to the other celebrities how he couldn't grow facial hair. Talking about the fact they had not looked at themselves in the mirror in nearly a week he said: 'Do you know what I just deeped yeah? We haven't looked at ourselves in the mirror in like four days'. 'I haven't had facial hair since I was like 16. I'm clean shaven every day but do you know what's nice? I have like a proper Italian moustache.' With Harry and Adebayo 'The Beast' Akinfenwa gone, just eight stars remain on the show, with the next episode set to air this Sunday at 9pm on Channel 4. Last year, John Barrowman quit SAS after just 32 minutes into filming. He dubbed the 'worst recruit' in the show's history after he told Directing Staff 'I'm done'. He then added: 'I just... it's not for me, I know who I am and what I'm about, it's not for me' following his arrival on set.

Oasis 'flooded with huge offers for 2026 shows including Knebworth' amid reunion success

Liam and Noel Gallagher could carry on their huge Oasis reunion tour into next year as offers have reportedly been put to the band as the decision is all in their hands Oasis are said to have been inundaded with offers for shows for next year following their mega reunion this year. Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher put their decades long feud aside as they reunited the iconic band for a string of shows. ‌ They kicked off in Cardiff last month before heading to Manchester, London and Edinburgh. The Britpop stars are set to carry on to Dublin before moving over to the US, Asia, Australasia and South America. ‌ Rumours have already been circulating that Oasis could carry on into 2026. It comes after Paul Weller revealed the unusual reason he refuses to watch Oasis concerts. ‌ Fans are hoping Oasis will head to Knebworth House next year as they mark the 30th anniversary of their two historic shows there. It would mean they would tip rival Robbie Williams off the post as the artist to have played the most shows at the Hertfordshire venue. According to the Sun, Oasis has been offered four dates at Knebworth along with a possible residency at their beloved Manchester City's Etihad Stadium. Fake posters of a 2026 tour have already appeared online as fans hold out hope for a chance to see the brothers back in action. ‌ However, it all boils down to whether Liam and Noel are really up for carrying it on. 'They'll be having a well-earned holiday as soon as this tour finishes later this year,' a source told the publication. 'As for 2026, they've seen the speculation, they've heard about the offers and they know what the fans want. But it's ultimately up for them to decide." Oasis: What's Their Story? An unofficial celebration magazine on sale now! A few simple words on social media on August 27 in 2024 were enough to spark pandemonium among Oasis fans and were the catalyst for the most eagerly awaited UK gigs of all time. This special unofficial magazine, available to order here, marks the reunion and honours the band both now and down the years with our incredible archive of photos and interviews - and with exclusive reviews and photographs of their first show! ‌ They added that it is up for Liam and Noel to weigh up if they want to "draw a line in the sand" or "keep the magic going". Yet, it is a "difficult decision". Festivals have also been holding out hope to bag Oasis at their events as they added both Coachella and Benicassim have sent offers to the band. The current tour was announced last year, almost 15 years to the date of their split, and a move that fans never believed would happen due to the tensions between Liam and Noel. ‌ Ever since Noel walked away, the two siblings have hurled insults at one another across social media and in interviews. But now, those days are firmly in the past with the two brothers walking out on stage each night holding hands, as though there had never been any bad blood. Get Oasis updates straight to your WhatsApp! As the hotly anticipated Oasis reunion tour grows closer, the Mirror has launched its very own Oasis WhatsApp community where you'll get all the latest news on the Gallagher brothers and all the information you'll need in the run up to the gigs. To leave our community click on the name at the top of your screen and choose Exit group. If you're curious, you can read our Privacy Notice. Oasis' manager, Alec McKinlay, previously said that the current dates are the only ones that the band will be performing. He said in May: "This is very much the last time around, as Noel's made clear in the press. ‌ "It's a chance for fans who haven't seen the band to see them, or at least for some of them to. No, there's no plans for any new music." But Liam later hit out at the comments, saying that they came from "the accountant". Replying to a fan on X, he fumed: "Neither do I and the only people that will be making any kind of decisions on the future of OASIS will be ME n RKID [Noel] so let's just take it one day at a time."

EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Erin finds the jewel in her Crown - a new leading lady

The Crown star Erin Doherty has found a new leading lady – and, just like King Charles 's nephew Peter Phillips, she's fallen for an NHS worker. I can reveal the 33-year-old actress, who shot to fame playing Peter's mother Princess Anne in the Netflix royal drama, has struck up a romance with radiographer Sinead Donnelly, 35. Phillips, meanwhile, has announced his engagement to NHS nurse Harriet Sperling. Over the weekend, Erin gave a glimpse into their blossoming relationship by posting a sweet photograph of them on holiday. In the picture, the pair stroll hand in hand through an archway, dressed for an evening occasion and each holding a glass of wine. 'Take us back to Italy please...' Sinead commented on the snap. Erin, who recently starred in Adolescence – another hugely successful Netflix series – was previously in a long-term relationship with fellow actress Sophie Melville. They met in 2017 while starring in Alan Ayckbourn's play The Divide, with Erin later describing their relationship as her 'greatest accomplishment'. While she and Sinead are enjoying the honeymoon phase, Erin has admitted that her dedication to her craft can affect her personal life. 'I fall in love with my characters – my girlfriend will attest to this,' she said recently. 'The minute anything comes into my sphere, the blinkers go on.' A self-confessed 'hopeless romantic' who 'loves love', Erin has also said of her sexuality: 'It took me a really long time to get to the point where I was, like, 'Oh, I'm gay'. I was never ready to carve out that path for myself, even though my relationships with men weren't satisfying.' Helen's novel way to thrive Despite having written the bestselling Bridget Jones series, Helen Fielding struggles with imposter syndrome. The author, 67, is quietly working on a new book – unrelated to the hapless anti-hero played by Renee Zellweger on screen – but she admits: 'I think everything in my novel is rubbish and makes no sense. I'm out of my depth. 'I try to boost my confidence by saying I've had six novels published. Last week, I thought my new novel was great – I was imagining the reviews, 'Fielding's a master novelist at the top of her game'. Maybe it's just part of the process. 'In the end, you just have to knuckle down and, like Winston Churchill said, keep buggering on and get on with it.' Emily Maitlis admits that since her Newsnight interview with Prince Andrew in 2019 ended his career as a working royal, she's developed a technique to avoid his daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie. 'Occasionally, I find myself in the same room as them and I feel terrible,' she says. 'There's normally a very quiet, elegant dance where I try to get to the other end and leave them in peace.' Elevated to the peerage by Boris Johnson, journalist Claire Fox was taken aback by a plea from her father, John. 'On his deathbed he said he had lung cancer because he smoked,' reveals Baroness Fox of Buckley, 65. 'He said: 'Claire, I want you to promise me... That you'll go down to Silk Cut Ultra [low-tar cigarettes]'.' Harry Potter star Miriam Margolyes once gave a theatregoer a dramatic surprise. 'I would come on, acting drunk, and sit on a chair,' she recalls. 'Between the rehearsal and the first night, carpenters had put castors on the chair. At first I thought it was testament to the power of my performance. Then I fell on a punter in the front row.' Here comes the cavalry, with 'hottest royal' Alex When the Royal Family gathers for Trooping the Colour next year, one member may not be a spectator but riding in the King's Birthday Parade. Alexander Ogilvy, 28, grandson of Queen Elizabeth's cousin Princess Alexandra, has graduated from Sandhurst and signed up to the Household Cavalry. 'Very proud of our British Army officer,' says his sister, Flora Vesterberg, 30. She joined Alex, pictured right – described as 'the hottest royal you never heard of' – with their grandmother, pictured above, for his passing-out parade at the military academy in Berkshire. Divorcing Lily says life's a drag Lily Allen is puffing her way through a painful time – and not just on stage. The pop singer and actress, 40, who is divorcing her actor husband David Harbour, is currently playing the beleaguered Hedda Gabler at the Theatre Royal Bath. And she's convinced the play's director, Matthew Dunster, to let her vape on stage because she's 'going through some stuff' in her own life, too. 'When we were in rehearsals, I just said to Matthew, 'What about her vaping?' And he was, like, 'Yeah.' I think Matthew is just being generous to the fact that I might be going through some stuff: give her a little vape, give her a little time just to make her life a little bit easier.'
