Huber Heights Mayor Jeff Gore delivered the State of the City address Monday evening, promising expansion and growth for the community.
Gore said the city has plans for a new indoor music center, hotel and Dublin Pub.
'Really, none of this would mean anything if we didn't have the support of the community behind us,' Gore said.
Leo Jordan has lived in Huber Heights for 20 years and has watched it develop.
'I feel really good about Huber Heights. And what's happening out there,' Jordan said. 'We're just close to anything you could possibly want. It's right here at your fingertips.'

Kids banned from eating at Ohio Chick-fil-a without adult
An Ohio location of Georgia restaurant chain Chick-fil-A is reminding its community that it has a teen chaperone policy as school starts back up. As reported by Channel 2 Action News sister station WHIO, the Chick-fil-A in Kettering said anyone under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 21 to dine at their location. The location shared the reminder in a social media post Wednesday morning. Buc-ee's to build 4th Georgia location after state approves permit
Buc-ee's is moving forward on building their fourth location in Georgia after getting approval from the Georgia Environmental Protection Division. The Texas-based gas station giant had to get state approval to move forward, requiring what's known as a stream buffer variance so they could build near a state body of water. According to state records, the waters in this case are two unnamed dendritic tributaries to Deer Creek in the Upper Ocmulgee Watershed. The approval letter was sent to Buc-ee's on July 30. A Buc-ee's spokeswoman told Channel 2 Action News the new location in Monroe County is expected to open in March 2027. Buc-ee's opened its third location in Georgia in July.
