Brisbane Broncos fan's VERY cheeky reference to Kotoni Staggs sex tape during win over Gold Coast Titans
During the live broadcast from Robina, a travelling Broncos fan caused a stir with a bold sign referencing a scandal from five years ago.
The sign, which read 'Suck my toes Kotoni', was a direct nod to a 2020 sex tape involving Broncos centre Kotoni Staggs.
The woman holding it wore Broncos supporters gear and was caught on camera during the match.
Her sign quickly went viral online, sparking reactions across social media platforms and prompting a fresh wave of attention toward the infamous scandal.
The reference ties back to a controversial moment in 2020, when a sex tape of Staggs was distributed without his consent.
The footage was recorded by then 18-year-old McKenzie Lorraine Robinson during a consensual sexual encounter arranged via Instagram.
Staggs gave permission for the act to be filmed but only for private viewing.
The footage, shot from a first-person angle, featured explicit scenes including toe sucking.
The pair did not meet again, but Robinson continued to message Staggs in the months that followed.
Eventually, a snippet of the video was sent to Staggs directly.
On August 4, 2020, the video appeared on social media, reportedly circulated to multiple sporting organisations.
Staggs made a formal complaint to police, leading to Robinson being charged with distributing prohibited visual recordings.
Under Queensland law, the offence carries a maximum sentence of three years' imprisonment.
She pleaded guilty in Brisbane Magistrates Court and was fined $600, avoiding a conviction.
Magistrate Tina Privatera considered her early guilty plea and opted against recording a conviction.
Robinson's lawyer claimed the footage was sent to a friend whom she trusted, and it was that friend who then circulated it publicly.
Despite not intending for the video to become public, Robinson was held accountable for its distribution.
Sunday's clash was Brisbane's fifth consecutive win, keeping them fifth on the ladder and within reach of the top four, but Staggs was involved in a heated on-field moment during the tense Queensland derby.
But tensions briefly flared just before half-time, as Broncos fullback Reece Walsh and Staggs appeared to exchange frustrated words on the field.
With seconds left in the half, the Broncos were in a familiar attacking shape down the right side.
Walsh, floating behind the decoy runners, threw a sharp pass intended to put Staggs on the outside of Brian Kelly, but Staggs couldn't handle the pill.

Fox League commentator Cooper Cronk called the moment 'a clunky catch' but defended the centre, saying 'pressure was on him.'
Immediately after the mistake, the broadcast showed Walsh speaking to Staggs, with the centre appearing to offer an apology.
As the teams headed into the sheds, Deine Mariner put an arm around Walsh.
The cameras then caught another moment of visible frustration from the Broncos fullback.
Walsh's emotions carried into the break. Ben Hunt, covering the half-time interview duties, had a quiet word with Walsh afterwards.
'He plays with high emotion, I suppose he thought his right centre should've caught that,' Bryan Fletcher said during the broadcast.
Inside the sheds, Walsh had another brief outburst before calming down.
Post-match, captain Adam Reynolds was asked about Walsh's emotions and the exchange.
'We're trying to be perfect out there, It's not always going to go to plan,' Reynolds said.
'But we're adults, We talk about a situation when it happens.'
He confirmed the pair had resolved the issue quickly, with the team scoring a long-range try shortly after.
'They're working hard, and it's always good to have that feedback on the field,' he said.
Coach Michael Maguire also weighed in, saying the game plan was designed to give Staggs early ball.
'Reece, he loves his footy and he's striving to continually be the best,' Maguire said.
'That's all the boys. That's the perfection they're chasing.'
He defended Walsh's passionate approach.
'Reece wears his heart on his sleeve and that's why we love him.'
'At times he's going to execute something, and other times he's working out how he gets it done.'

Additional 800 children to be tested for STIs as police investigate accused Melbourne childcare paedophile Joshua Dale Brown
More than 800 additional children in the Australian state of Victoria are being recommended for testing for sexually transmitted infections after four more childcare centres were added to a list of known workplaces of alleged paedophile Joshua Dale Brown. More dates have also been added for 10 other childcare centres, with police citing incomplete records from the providers for the discrepancies. Earlier this month Victorian police revealed the 26-year-old childcare worker had been charged with more than 70 offences relating to eight alleged victims, aged between five months and two years old. Approximately 2,600 families with children who attended the centres were contacted, with 1,200 advised to undergo screening for sexually transmitted infections. Detectives from the sexual crimes squad on Tuesday confirmed four more centres had been added to Brown's work history. They are: Kids Academy Waratah Estate in Mickleham on 29 August 2024 Milestones Early Learning Tarneit on 10 September 2024 and 13 September 2024 Milestones Early Learning Braybrook on 4 December 2024 and 6 December 2024 Milestones Early Learning Greensborough on 5 December 2024, 31 January 2025 and 27 February 2025 Ten of the 20 centres already identified have also been updated based on new information provided to police, while Papilio Early Learning in Hoppers Crossing has been removed from the list after further investigation determined the information was incorrect. Police now believe Brown worked at 23 childcare centres between January 2017 and May 2025. It is understood discrepancies in Brown's work history were identified by both members of the public and detectives involved in the investigation. Affinity Education Group, which operates many of the listed centres, said it had provided police with updated employment records for Brown on 3 July. On Tuesday, the company apologised to affected families 'for the distress this is causing.' 'No family should have to go through this. We are committed to supporting every family impacted whilst continuing to cooperate fully with the authorities as the investigation continues,' a spokesperson said. In their statement, police said establishing Brown's complete work history had been 'extremely complex' as childcare providers do not have centralised records. It meant detectives had to 'execute search warrants to obtain handwritten records, shift rosters and other critical information.' Police also had to interview witnesses and assess more than 270 Crimestoppers reports to verify details and provide an accurate account of Brown's employment history. They have also sought to establish not just where Brown worked, but the specific shifts and duties he undertook. Victoria police acting commander, Janet Stevenson, acknowledged some families would be frustrated by the delay in updating to Brown's work history. The police statement said investigators were 'assessing new information daily' and 'further updates are likely in the coming weeks'. The health department said it was contacting 830 additional families as a result of the new information, with 800 children likely to have direct contact with Brown recommended for testing. 'This is obviously a highly distressing situation, and I want to reassure all families being contacted that the potential exposure risk to an infectious disease for their child remains low,' the Victorian chief health officer, Dr Christian McGrath, said. 'Our recommendation for testing is a precaution and the test results we've received to date as part of this investigation reaffirms that the risk is low.' Families will be contacted initially via SMS and then with a phone call. The department urged families to check the updated list of childcare centres and employment dates before calling its advice line. Children who have already been tested will not need any additional screenings, the department said. The health department has not publicly stated the infections the children will be screened for. However, in information provided to affected parents and seen by Guardian Australia, they have recommended testing for chlamydia, gonorrhoea and syphilis for some children or chlamydia and gonorrhoea for others. The infections can all be treated with antibiotics.

Bombshell leaked text messages emerge after Mark Latham was accused of forcing his ex partner to perform degrading sex acts: 'Need badly to taste you'
NSW independent MP Mark Latham exchanged sexually explicit messages with his former partner during parliamentary sitting hours, according to explosive text logs. The WhatsApp message logs allegedly show interactions between Mr Latham and his former partner, businesswoman Nathalie Matthews, and were obtained by The Daily Telegraph. It comes after The Australian reported earlier this week Ms Matthews had accused Mr Latham of abusive behaviour, including forcing her into 'degrading sexual acts '. Mr Latham told Daily Mail Australia the outlet's reproduction of the messages was 'not accurate'. Daily Mail Australia also does not suggest the claims of abusive behaviour are substantiated, only that the allegations have been made. The leaked WhatsApp messages include a series of lewd exchanges on February 20, 2025 during parliamentary sitting hours. Shortly after 11am, he wrote 'Very hard thinking about you,' to Ms Matthews, before following up with a series of suggestive emojis. That afternoon, he wrote: 'Need badly to taste you' alongside an emoji of a tongue. About 8.38pm, he said: 'Made it back for first vote after dinner'. Mr Latham told the outlet the communications did not impact his work. The tranche of leaked messages includes far more graphic messages, over a period stretching as far back as October last year. On several occasions, Mr Latham is referred to as 'master'. He said he was sent images by Ms Matthews when parliament was sitting, 'seeking a response' and that he could not describe the images due to 'an abundance of caution about the revenge porn laws'. 'I don't think responding to a consensual partner on a private, intimate matter in any way has reduced my workload, which I would match up against any other member in the place,' he told The Daily Telegraph. Ms Matthews allegations against Mr Latham were detailed in court documents filed with the NSW Local Court. She made the allegations as part of an attempt to seek a domestic violence order against Mr Latham, including that he subjected her to a 'sustained pattern of emotional, physical, sexual, psychological, and financial abuse'. Mr Latham has denied the allegations which he referred to as 'comically false and ridiculous' in a posts to X on Monday night. He said he had 'scores of documents' to support his claims and said he would rely on those documents to defend himself. 'As the old saying goes, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned,' he wrote. Ms Matthews, who runs an e-commerce global logistics firm based in Dubai, Perth and Sydney, has applied for an interim order barring Mr Latham from coming within 100 metres, citing 'ongoing, reasonable fear of harassment, intimidation, and potential harm'. Her application accuses the former Labor leader of throwing a dinner plate at her, forcing her to call him 'master', and pressuring her to have sex with others. Ms Matthews' filing also alleges Mr Latham prevented her from cleaning up after 'defecating on me before sex' and 'telling me I was his property, and repeatedly telling me that my only value to him was for sex to demean and control me'. Ms Matthews also alleged 'physical violence' incidents, including 'pushing me against walls, forcing me out the door, throwing a plate at me during an argument, and driving at me with his vehicle, hitting me with the side mirror and causing a bruise'. Mr Latham is further accused of 'systematically undermining' Ms Matthews to 'control and isolate' her by comparing her 'unfavourably to other women, acting as if he would harm himself to manipulate me'. Ms Matthews accuses Mr Latham of forcing her to cover the cost of holidays abroad 'under duress', making her purchase expensive goods, and coercing her regarding her father's will for his benefit. Mr Latham said he has not been contacted by police regarding his ex-partner's allegations She claims she experienced 'constant fear and hyper-vigilance' since her arrival home from a June trip abroad, alleging all past break-ups with Mr Latham featured a repeated 'pattern of harassment and intimidation'. She alleges: 'The defendant has held intimate photos and videos of me, and I have been afraid he would expose them to shame and control me if I attempted to leave or resist his demands.' Mr Latham denied all accusations to The Australian. 'Nothing has been served on me nor has anyone contacted me,' he told the newspaper. 'I haven't had anything to do with her (Ms Matthews) since 27 May, so nearly seven weeks ago. I ended the 'situationship' that night for very good reason.' Ms Matthews made the application herself, with NSW Police neither charging Mr Latham nor seeking an order on her behalf. The matter will heard at Downing Centre Local Court on 30 July. Ms Matthews is a Liberal Party member and stood as a candidate at the 2021 Sutherland Shire Council election.
