Hailey Wright reflects on The Voice journey and Texarkana roots
TEXARKANA, Texas (KTAL/KMSS) —Rising country star Hailey Wright is making waves on The Voice and beyond, and she recently stopped by to share her journey, from choosing her coach to performing in her hometown.
When faced with choosing between Kelsea Ballerini and Michael, Hailey felt an instant connection with Kelsea. 'She recognized the yodel in my voice when I sang Blue,' Hailey shared. 'There was no better choice for me—she already understood my voice.'
Hailey's love for music started early, but a softball injury led her to the guitar. 'I had a pawn shop guitar and nothing better to do than lay around and teach myself to play,' she recalled. That passion turned into a career that has taken her to national stages.
Returning home after her Blind Audition aired, Hailey was overwhelmed by the support at her first local performance. 'The love from my hometown means everything,' she said. Now, she's focused on creating her own music, booking shows, and even launching merchandise.
One of Hailey's biggest personal challenges was understanding her identity. 'Growing up, I didn't have much contact with my biological father, and I looked different from my sisters,' she explained. Learning about her Choctaw Native American heritage helped her embrace her uniqueness and shape her artistry.
While she couldn't reveal details about The Voice, Hailey excitedly announced her next performance on March 29 at Hopkins Icehouse in Texarkana. She also gave inspiring advice to young artists: 'Don't take no for an answer. Keep going until you get that, yes.'
Hailey Wright is a star on the rise with talent, determination, and a growing fan base.

Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber at "Breaking Point" due to "Jealousy"
Think we can all agree that May was a huge month for Hailey Bieber thanks to landing her first solo Vogue cover, launching Rhode in Sephora, and selling the company to e.l.f. Like, there's a lot to celebrate! But according to sources in The Sun (who should be taken with a grain of salt!), Justin is having some jealousy issues when it comes to Hailey's success. In fact, things are allegedly at the "breaking point" and tension is at an "an all-time high" due to Justin being "jealous" and "obsessed with being the dominant figure in their relationship." The source, who is a "friend and confidant," adds that that Hailey's recent success "feels like a blow to his ego" and that "he cannot stand the idea of being the 'number two' in their relationship now." They also note that "it's disappointing to see him act like this." This report comes amid Justin admitting in a since-edited post that he never thought Hailey would land a Vogue cover, and told her as much. "Yo this reminds me when Hailey and I got into a huge fight," he wrote before changing the caption. "I told hails that she would never be on the cover of vogue. Yikes I know, so mean. For some reason because I felt so disrespected. I thought I gotta get even. I think as we mature we realize that we're not helping anything by getting even. we're honestly just prolonging what we really want which is intimacy and connection. So baby u already know but forgive me for saying u wouldn't get a vogue cover cuz clearly i was sadly mistaken." Meanwhile this week, the "Baby" singer hopped on Instagram to question an unnamed person's loyalty, writing "'LOYALTY' is manipulative language. Loyalty is duty, it's an obligation. THATS NOT FREE WILL. Love is NOT a duty. LOVE IS A DELIGHT. Please stop using loyalty to keep people around you out of your own fear its hurting us. Mafia members use loyalty to keep people in their gangs. Lets not perpetuate this manipulative language. LOVE OVER LOYALTY FOREVER." For what it's worth, Hailey has been liking several of Justin's recent Insta posts, so all seems fine!
