Prince Harry to be 'even angrier' if latest move backfires warns expert

Daily Record2 days ago

Prince Harry has been relatively quiet in recent weeks as wife Meghan Markle continues to bask in the limelight launching her As Ever business - but that could all be about to change.
Prince Harry could potentially ignite a fresh Royal controversy with his prospective career shift, warns an expert. While Meghan has been enjoying the spotlight with the launch of her As Ever venture, Harry seems to have taken a more subdued role as the couple appear to be exploring separate career trajectories.
However, rumours suggest that this could soon change as Harry seeks a 'new purpose'. Reports indicate that Harry might be launching his own commercial enterprise in the coming months, alongside focusing on his Invictus Games Foundation.

Details about the potential venture remain under wraps, and figuring it out will be one of the first tasks for the Sussexes' newly assembled advisory team. But Jennie Bond, former BBC Royal correspondent, has warned that if Harry chooses to pursue a profit-making path, it could be fraught with challenges.

Speaking to the Mirror, she said: "Personally, I think this commercial route opens him up to all sorts of accusations of trading on his royal status which would make him an even angrier young man than at present. I think Harry is still trying to figure out where he goes from here. By normal standards, he's a very rich man, but life in Montecito doesn't come cheap, especially with all the security costs he deems necessary.
"So is he content for his wife to be the breadwinner while he concentrates on the children and charity work? There's nothing wrong with that but he might feel he needs to pursue commercial ventures too.", reports the Mirror.

Prince Harry has been in the spotlight recently, focusing on his philanthropic efforts. This month, he was seen championing the Diana Award at an event in Las Vegas.
Just this week, he made a surprise appearance at a travel conference in Shanghai, where he delivered a speech on sustainable travel through his organisation Travalyst.

Jennie commented further: "There's nothing wrong with being a stay-at-home dad and using his influence to help charities around the world. He's brilliant at interacting with people and at just being Harry. He should perhaps stick to what he's born to, trained for and truly good at."
Harry's journey to China was his inaugural visit and coincided with King Charles's arrival in Canada for a significant tour.

However, Jennie noted: "Fortunately it seems not to have overshadowed Charles and Camilla's trip to Canada. In fact, it seems to have made very little news at all. If the idea was to garner as much publicity for the cause as possible, it would seem to have fallen rather short.
"There was no advance information about it and not much of a splash when he was there. But he is clearly employed by Travalyst to make keynote speeches like this, and I'm sure he made a good job of it. The timing of the conference would have been coincidental to the King's trip to Canada, certainly not deliberate.
"However, the irony of flying across the world to promote sustainable, environmentally friendly travel is hard to ignore. Surely a video speech would have been more ethical?".
"The same criticism could be lobbed at William flying around the world to host the Earthshot Awards but sometimes it just raises the profile in a way nothing else could. I'm not sure that Harry's presence did the same."

Ncuti Gatwa reveals real reason behind Doctor Who exit as fans suspect it 'wasn't planned'

Doctor Who fans were left shocked during Saturday's night finale of the BBC show when Ncuti Gatwa left his role as the Doctor after just two series and regenerated into old fan favourite Billie Piper. Doctor Who's star Ncuti Gatwa is set to go down in the beloved sci-fi shows' 62 year history for many reasons - one of them being as one of the few actors who served the shortest time in his role as the Doctor. After just two series of the iconic drama, the Scottish-Rwandan actor shared with fans that he was stepping down from his role as the Time Lord. Ncuti cited the reason he quit was due to the physical and mental demands of the show, especially on his lead character, but fans believe his exit was not a planned one despite what the Sex Education star has told the media. The 32-year-old has now been replaced by the iconic Billie Piper, who previously starred in the BBC drama as Rose Tyler alongside former doctor Christopher Ecclestone, who only lasted one series. Piper also starred in the 2006 series with David Tennant. ‌ Ncuti recorded a video explanation for his fans after his exit was aired in the Doctor Who season 15 finale on Saturday May 31. He said: "It's a role that demands a lot of you physically and emotionally and mentally. The actors playing the Doctor are only actors playing the Doctor. Unfortunately, we are mere mortals. ‌ "I would love to have the energy and the youth to be able to do this full time for the rest of my life, but my knees are telling me it's time." ‌ However, die-hard fans believe there is another reason behind his exit, the Mirror reports. Taking to X, one fan named Mr Tardis had clearly done their research as they wrote: "In October 2024, Ncuti Gatwa was on 'The Graham Norton Show' saying he was going to be filming another series of DW next year. ‌ "In June 2025, he officially leaves the show and regenerates. This was never the plan. What a shame. He deserved so much better." Another echoed: "In situations like that, they'll often shoot two different alternative scenes: one where the series continues, and one to finish things off. "Ncuti may well have actually thought he'd be staying on back in October 2024, even after filming a regeneration scene just in case." ‌ A third fan was left disappointed with the news of his exit as they wrote: "I am so f****g sad. its one thing to see your doctor regenerate because they chose to, another to see it happen because of behind the scenes s**t. "I loved literally every episode this era. I've been defending it the whole time. this.. this kinda broke me." ‌ Adding to his exit speech, Ncuti said: "You know when you get cast, at some point, you are going to have to hand back that sonic screwdriver and it is all going to come to an end, but nothing quite prepares you for it. "This journey has been one that I will never forget and a role that will be part of me forever. He added: "There are no words to describe what it feels like to be cast as the Doctor, nor are there words to explain what it feels like to be accepted into this iconic role that has existed for over 60 years and is truly loved by so many across the globe." ‌ The former Doctor Who star continued: "The fans are truly the final character and beating heart of this show and I can't thank the Whoniverse, and the Whovians, enough for welcoming me in, and making this such a touching experience. "I've loved every minute of it, but now is the time to hand over the keys to that beloved blue box and let someone else take control and enjoy it every bit as much as I have. I'll truly miss it, and forever be grateful to it, and everyone that has played a part in my journey as the Doctor." Meanwhile showrunner Russell T. Davies also expressed his sadness over Ncuti's decision to step down. ‌ ‌ He expressed: "What a Doctor! Thank you, Ncuti! As his final words say, this has been an absolute joy, and the team in Cardiff and everyone who has worked on this show for the past few years, are so lucky to have been part of Ncuti's great adventure as he shoots off to stratospheric new heights." He added: "Billie once changed the whole of television, back in 2005, and now she's done it again! It's an honour and a hoot to welcome her back to the Tardis, but quite how and why and who is a story yet to be told. "After 62 years, the Doctor's adventures are only just beginning!" A spokesperson for Doctor Who declined to comment.

The couple were flooded with comments from their celebrity pals as TOWIE's Ferne McCann said: "Congrats x x x x." Love Island's Grace Jackson commented: "Congratulations." Model Roxy Horner wrote: "Congratulations babe," and Lottie Tomlinson gushed: "Yay congratulations." Earlier this year, the couple revealed their plans for a large family as Riyad admitted he "wants a football team" of children. ‌ 'Riyad would love a football team,' Taylor told the Mirror. 'He's a brilliant dad. He needs more kids, that's for sure.' Influencer Taylor first married footballer Riyad in 2022 in an intimate Muslim ceremony at home. I want her to have a big family,' said Taylor, who has a very close bond with her glamorous sisters Darby, Charlie and Aston. ‌ Mila will turn three in July, and Taylor told us she was ready to embark on another pregnancy – and spend sleepless nights with her newborn. 'I've got to carry the children and do the pregnancy, which is not easy,' said Taylor. 'The newborn stage is a lot more challenging than people think. "Those sleepless nights are probably what's made me hold off having another one straight away. But I'm definitely more ready now than I ever have been.' Of course with a husband earning an estimated £44million a year playing for Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli, Taylor has a nanny plus staff to help around their gorgeous home. However, she maintained she's still a very hands-on mum. 'I do have a nanny and I do have house help but we live abroad,' explained Taylor. 'I don't have any of my family, I don't have any of Riyad's family in Saudi so we have zero family support."

Britain's Got Talent viewers 'work out' how winner pulled off magic trick

Fans and viewers of ITV's Britain's Got Talent have shared their theories as to how 2025 winner Harry Moulding pulled off an ambitious card trick that included sky diving Britain's Got Talent fans have been left fuming after 'figuring out' how 2025 winner Harry Moulding pulled off one of his daring tricks. Fans of the long-running ITV talent show voted for the 24-year-old magician from Blackpool to win the 18th season of the show. Harry beat off competition from dance troupe The Blackouts and solo dancer Binita, 8, to win the show. While Binita got to the final on her own merit, both Harry and The Blackouts were propelled to the final by the judges, who used golden buzzers, which gave them an automatic place in the final. ‌ During Saturday night's grand finale, Harry wowed the judges, live audience, and those watching from home as he executed an impressive skydiving magic trick. He asked Bruno Tonioli, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden to take part in an elaborate card trick. ‌ After several minutes of banter and card selection, it was revealed that Bruno had picked out the three of clubs, Alesha would select the four of hearts, and Amanda would pick the seven of diamonds. While the judges were already impressed by the stage of the trick, Harry then played a video clip of himself sky diving hours earlier. During his descent, he predicted that the trio would pick the cards that the ultimately ended up with. ‌ The judges and audience were left gobsmacked by the reveal, but some fans watching along at home were convinced they figured out how Harry had pulled off the stunt. Fans took to social media to accuse the performer of cheating - and even using AI to perfect his act. One viewer wrote on X: "How much AI on the #BGTFinal magician's video?" And another, also accusing AI of being involved, wrote: "Not my cup tea this AI magic #BGTFinal". Others accused Harry of using simple sleight-of-hand tricks or using reflections to perfect his stunt. One wrote: "#BGT he can see the card in the camera." And another fan typed: "They have all put their card on the top #BGT." ‌ Other viewers were stunned by the performance, however, and went on to cheer for the winner. One wrote on X: "I'm not usually a fan of magicians, but this guy is brilliant and really enjoyable to watch #BGTFinal." And another fan gushed: "I dont care what anyone says but Harry Moulding deserves to win. All my votes goes to him #BGTFinal." Harry was indeed crowned winner of the 2025 season - with the awestruck magician telling hosts Ant and Dec: "I can't believe what is going on." ‌ Snatching the microphone from Declan, he continued: "Thank you, everyone, so, so much. I genuinely feel like everyone has been behind me. This has been the most incredible journey. I can't believe that I'm here. Thank you." His victory came after he wowed the judges with his tricks. Alesha gushed during the show: "Every time we see you, you up the level, you take it to the next level, and your imagination and the way you present your act is just astonishing. You're so likeable." And head judge Simon Cowell added his commendation, remarking how Harry was "so good, but so humble". He further commented: "This show, genuinely, is about finding people like you who, for whatever reason, haven't had the break they deserve. And you do deserve this break, I really think the audience are going to get behind you." After being crowned winner, Harry has the chance to perform at the Royal Variety Performance later this year and has also pocketed a whopping £250,000 cash prize.
