Aaron Paul Relives His ‘Price Is Right' Failure on ‘Hot Ones,' Incorrectly Guesses the Price of a New Car
'Hot Ones' host Sean Evans forced Aaron Paul to relive the embarrassment of overbidding on a car when he was a contestant on 'The Price of Right,' and then asked him to repeat the experience as if a Chevy 2024 were actually on the line.
'How would you distill the experience of being a contestant on 'The Price Is Right,' because when I watch the 2000 appearance, which has millions of views on YouTube, it seems like such an emotional roller coaster,' Evans began.
'How dare you bring that up?' the actor, who was beginning to sweat profusely, replied, pretending to be insulted.
Paul explained, 'I was struggling. I needed money, and we could use that sports car. I could have used that car, right? And I was so depressed when I bid $132 over and then my buddy actually stayed. They did two tapings that day, and he won the Showcase Showdown. He won a trip to Fiji, New Orleans and London.
However, it wasn't a total loss for Paul, 'I went to New Orleans with him.'
Then Evans upped the ante by producing a photo of a 2024 Chevy, once again asking Paul to come close to the MSRP without going over.
Paul guessed $34,695 and was dismayed to learn that, once again, he had bid too high, as the actual MSRP is $30,000.
Evans also played clips from the time when Bryan Cranston was on the show and asked Paul to respond to 'pull quotes' his 'Breaking Bad' costar dished out at the time.
'If a character cries easily, the audience doesn't have to, but if a character tries not to cry, that's when the audience will [cry],' Evans read from the Cranston transcript.
Before Paul could reply to that, he noted that the hotness of the sauces was getting to him. 'It's hitting me. This is actually… it's creeping up. It's one of those things that you feel like you've accomplished something victorious. And then your face is on fire.'
Paul confirmed that he encouraged Cranston to snack on the fake meth on the award-winning show.
'I would sling that meth to anyone that walked onto that set,' he laughed. 'Now, I gotta be honest, I actually stole as much met from that show as possible. But I wish I stole more things, you know… the rule of thumb when you're doing you know, work in this industry, just steal sh–t.'
He continued, 'Don't ask, because they'll say no. Just steal it and they'll get over it.'

Paul's new sci-film 'Ash,' is now on VOD and digital platforms.

Celebrated Christian musical "The Promise" seeks new venue after nearly 40 years in Glen Rose
The Promise, a celebrated Christian musical that has called Glen Rose home for nearly 40 years, is now searching for a new venue after negotiations with the new owners of the Texas Amphitheatre fell through. The production, which includes a cast and crew of more than 150 people, is a large-scale theatrical retelling of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. Fall 2025 season in question The Promise in Glen Rose Josh Lee, the production's executive director, said the immediate goal is to secure a location for the fall season "if at all possible." "That would probably need to be at an existing facility somewhere between Glen Rose and Fort Worth that would have the availability and size to handle a version of our show," Lee told CBS News Texas. "Beyond that, a long-term plan will depend on what partners we can find and where we could set up a permanent home with a sustainable future." Weatherford and Granbury considered Lee said initial conversations have included contacts in the Weatherford and Granbury areas, but emphasized that "any feasible options" are currently being considered. According to Lee, The Promise will no longer be performed at the Texas Amphitheatre after fall 2025, following the inability to reach an agreement with AJ Real Estate Investments and Glen Rose Entertainment. Unique outdoor stage features The Promise in Glen Rose The Texas Amphitheatre features a 4,000-square-foot tri-level stage, 40-foot walls, and a 45,000-gallon waterway separating the stage from the audience. The spring production of The Promise of Passover was performed under a brief lease extension, Lee said. While based in Glen Rose, The Promise has also been performed internationally in cities such as Moscow and Seoul. Faith remains central to mission Wishing AJ Real Estate Investments and Glen Rose Entertainment the best, the production said: "Leadership remains confident that God's hand is still on this ministry and moves forward in faith, trusting His plan."

Big Cedar Lodge To Open Cliffhangers Par 3 Course On July 4th
On the 4th of July, Big Cedar Lodge in Missouri's Ozarks will open its new Par 3 Cliffhangers course and in doing so move into uncharted territory in the world of American golf – becoming the first destination resort with three short courses. Originally planned as a practice facility, Cliffhangers morphed into a wild adventure course with 18 holes (with distances of 60 to 170 yards) carved into 50 acres of dramatic limestone cliffs, with about 400 feet of vertical descent in total. The rugged layout, located adjacent to the Tiger Woods-designed Payne's Valley course, was created by the resort's founder, conservationist Johnny Morris, and his son, John Paul. While traversing steep mountain trails and navigating undulating bent grass greens at Cliffhangers, golfers will drive carts through cascading waterfalls, cross swift flowing creeks, and wind through a cave system. The finish at Cliffhangers might be on par with that of neighboring Payne's Valley, where the par 3 19th hole -- a photo-worthy island green that sits in a pond at the base of a massive limestone cliff – has emerged as a social media darling. The culmination of Cliffhangers might just be a true one-of-a-kind experience, allowing players to launch tee shots from inside a cavern… and through a gentle waterfall. 'This is golf on the edge – literally,' said Johnny Morris, the founder of Bass Pro Shops and visionary behind Big Cedar Lodge. 'We wanted to create something that celebrates the natural wonder of the Ozarks while delivering an unforgettable adventure for every golfer.' Inspired by his childhood memories at Table Rock Lake in Missouri's Ozark region, Morris has expanded Big Cedar into a year-round, 4,600-acre destination that connects guests from the Midwest and beyond with nature and the great outdoors. While Morris prefers fishing and hunting, he recognizes golf is a key part of the outdoor experience for millions of Americans for its physical, mental and social benefits. The addition of Cliffhangers gives Big Cedar six courses in total, helping further stamp its place as one of the premier golf resorts in the U.S. with a national footprint. Three of the courses at Big Cedar are regulation-length layouts: Payne's Valley, Ozark National designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, and Buffalo Ridge from Tom Fazio. The other two short courses were designed by a couple of the game's greats in major champions Jack Nicklaus (Top of the Rock) and Gary Player (Mountain Top). The Top of the Rock course is a pristinely-manicured 9-hole course that sits high atop Table Rock lake and for years hosted a senior tour event. Mountain Top, meanwhile, is a picturesque 13-hole layout set on the highest point on the main golf property. Cliffhangers is different from anything else at the resort, with significant elevation changes, breathtaking views, and holes that climb across cliffs and over creeks as it steps its way along the cliffside with zoysia-covered surrounds. While there are 18 holes, Morris and his son included two extra 'death-defying cliffhanger tee boxes' – one each on the 1st and 10th holes – that give players 20 chances for a hole-in-one. 'Cliffhangers reflects everything we love about nature, adventure, and golf,' said John Paul Morris. 'It's wild, fun, and unlike anything in the game of golf today.'
