Reincarnated as a Sword Season 2 Release Date Window Revealed With Visual
During the recently conducted Anime Expo 2025, HIDIVE announced the release date window for Reincarnated as a Sword Season 2. While the follow-up edition for the beloved anime received official confirmation right after the premiere of Season 1's final episode, HIDIVE recently declared that the second edition will come out sometime in the fall of 2026.
In addition to the release date schedule, Reincarnated as a Sword Season 2 also received an ultra teaser visual that showcased Fran riding Teacher, the titular reincarnated sword, like a skateboard in the air.
Moreover, the announcement confirmed the return of Shinji Ishihara as the series director, with Studio C2C also coming back to animate Season 2. Meanwhile, Atsuko Saito will occupy the position of character designer with Takahiro Nagano tackling the composition for the franchise's second installment.
At the event, John Ledford, President of HIDIVE, announced the release date window of the said edition by noting, 'We're excited to reveal that Season 2 of the hit isekai Reincarnated as a Sword will return next year and stream exclusively as part of HIDIVE's Fall 2026 simulcast season line-up. Reincarnated as a Sword was an instant hit with audiences when the original season premiered on HIDIVE in 2022. The series' popularity and fandom have never waned since then and will undoubtedly grow even further when Season 2 premieres in 2026!' (via Anime Corner)
The fan-favorite anime revolves around the escapades of a middle-aged salaryman, who ends up getting reborn as a sword in a fantasy world after losing his life in a car accident. After extensively searching for a beautiful woman to wield him, the reincarnated Teacher comes across a catgirl named Fran, which ultimately results in the two forming an alliance.

Netflix Drops Official Trailer for 'Wednesday' Season 2
Summary Fans of Nevermore Academy's most delightfully morbid student can rejoice:Netflixhas officially dropped the trailer forWednesdaySeason 2, starringJenna Ortega. The new footage promises a darker, more horror-centric turn for the hit series, moving away from romantic subplots to focus on new mysteries, family dynamics, and a terrifying prophecy. The highly anticipated season will be released in two parts, with Part 1 arriving on August 6, 2025, and Part 2 following on September 3, 2025. The trailer immediately immerses viewers back into Wednesday Addams' gothic world, showcasing her return to Nevermore Academy. However, this isn't a peaceful re-entry. Wednesday struggles with unwanted fame after saving the school in Season 1, even joking about setting bear traps for obsessive fans. The core of the new season's plot is unveiled as Wednesday has a disturbing psychic vision: her best friend and roommate, Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers), will die, and Wednesday believes she is somehow responsible. This chilling premonition sets Wednesday on a desperate mission to save Enid, vowing to 'die trying.' Jenna Ortega, who now serves as a producer on the show, previously revealed her desire to lean into the horror aspect of the series, a promise the Season 2 trailer definitively confirms. The showrunners have also assured fans that the love triangle elements from Season 1 are gone, with Wednesday's focus shifting to navigating complex relationships with her mother, Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones), and Enid. The trailer teases a 'bone-chilling' season filled with haunted dolls, swarms of bees, and a flaming, winged creature. New characters are set to join the macabre fun, including Steve Buscemi as Principal Barry Dort, the new headmaster of Nevermore Academy, and Joanna Lumley as Grandmama Hester Frump, Wednesday's grandmother. The trailer also offers glimpses of Wednesday grappling with her powers, a mysterious masked figure, and even Tyler in his Hyde form, suggesting he won't remain imprisoned. Family dynamics will be central, with Wednesday's parents, Morticia and Gomez (Luis Guzmán), frequently on campus, adding to the friction. With a global fan base eagerly awaiting its return,WednesdaySeason 2 is poised to deliver a seamless, high-octane continuation, having been filmed back-to-back with Season 3. The two-part release strategy aligns with Netflix's approach for its major titles, ensuring sustained engagement. This season promises to be 'bigger, bolder, gorier, a bit darker,' and even 'sillier,' reinforcing Wednesday's status as a unique blend of dark comedy, mystery, and supernatural thrills.
