However, according to the Italian transfer expert, Gasperini will ask Pasalic to follow him to the capital. Atalanta are pushing for a contract extension, and the midfielder will have the final say.

Multiple sources claim Gasperini has decided to leave Atalanta after nine years in Bergamo, but is still negotiating with Roma.
Pasalic has been playing for Atalanta since 2018 and has scored 59 goals and provided 40 assists in 298 appearances under Gasperini in Bergamo.
The former Chelsea and Milan midfielder won the Europa League in 2024 during his successful spell in Bergamo, where his future has yet to be determined.

Italian Orienteer Dies After Collapsing at World Games in China
An Italian orienteering competitor died Aug. 12 at the World Games in Chengdu, China, four days after collapsing during a race. Mattia Debertolis, 29, was midway through the men's middle-distance final on Aug. 8 when he was found unconscious along the course by event personnel. The race was held about 30 miles from central Chengdu in heat exceeding 86 degrees Fahrenheit and high humidity.
