Dyson announces latest Airwrap styler that's faster and lighter than older models
With the first Dyson Airwrap Styler launched back in 2018, the tech brand has since released a variety of models so shoppers can achieve bouncy curls and gorgeous blow dries with ease. Now fans will be delighted to hear that Dyson's most awarded hair styler is getting an upgrade this year.
Set to be released in September, Dyson has just launched the Dyson Airwrap Co-anda 2x multi-styler and dryer. Available in both Jasper Plum and Ceramic Pink, this new Airwrap is said to make styling easier while also protecting your hair.
With a price tag of £579.99, shoppers will need to sign up to Dyson's newsletter to be alerted of when the styler is ready to hit the shelves. So what can shoppers expect from this new Airwarp?
Said to be Dyson's 'most advanced' Airwrap yet, the Co-anda multi-styler will feature a brand new motor that "spins nine times faster than a Formula 1 car engine", reports the Mirror. On top of this, the device includes smart sensor technology that will adapt each attachment to the best airflow and temperature settings.
In comparison to the Airwarp i.d. styler (RRP £479.99), is latest edition is smaller and lighter, making it easier for shoppers to use through their hair.
Coming with a Dyson-designed case, the Co-anda styler comes with two sets that consist of six attachments. The Straight + Wavy set consists of a 30mm Co-anda2x curling barrel, 40mm Co-anda2x curling barrel, anti-snag loop brush 2x, round volumising brush 2x, AirSmooth 2x attachment and fast dryer 2x.
And for the Curly + Coily set, shoppers will get a 40mm Co-anda2x curling barrel, anti-snag loop brush 2x, round volumising brush 2x, tension comb 2x, Wave+Curl diffuser 2x and fast dryer 2x.
With a new and improved motor, users will see a reduction in the amount of time that it takes to curl their hair. In fact, the device will be able to create tight, voluminous and loose curls faster by using 30 per cent more product power and two times more air pressure than older devices.
Users should also have a more comfortable experience with the new Airwrap as it comes with an anti-snag loop brush. This attachment comes with new hook bristles that should provide increased control nearer the root of the hair, while also providing comfort on the scalp.
For those who instead want to straighten their hair, they will be able to do so with the AirSmooth 2x attachment. This add-on features two non-heated contact bars and two jets of high velocity air. This should remove frizz while also straightening the hair.
Once the attachment has completely passed through your hair, the arms will automatically unclamp to release the hair to avoid any unnecessary damage.
Some fans of Dyson's hair care products have already seen the trailer video of Dyson's newest Airwrap, and a few were quick to leave their guesses about the device.
One person said: "Oh looks like a blow dryer, a new smooth brush, round brush, curler… and is that a straightener attachment?"

While the idea of the Dyson Airwrap is appealing to many, the devices also come with a hefty price tag that many of us can't afford. Thankfully, there are similar products on the market that are a bit cheaper.

Talking about the new Dyson Airwrap, Sir James Dyson, founder and chief engineer of Dyson said: "Dyson has developed a new motor for our new Airwrap2x, which spins at 150,000rpm, delivering twice the air pressure, faster drying and less heat damage.
"The high pressure creates a longer lasting curl or straighter styles. Traditional stylers can damage hair, but we have always focused on developing tools that protect hair health whilst enhancing without compromising precision and or performance. We harness our expertise in motors, fluid dynamics, and materials to continually improve."

Major bank with 2.5million customers making changes to 36 accounts within days
The Co-operative Bank is cutting is making a shocking changes to 36 savings accounts, leaving customers for the worst as they deliver a fresh blow to savers with altered interest rates A major bank with millions of customers is set to make a significant change to dozens of accounts in the coming days. The Co-operative Bank is slashing interest rates on 36 savings accounts, dealing another blow to savers. This move comes hot on the heels of the Bank of England's decision to lower the base rate from 4.25% to 4%, marking the fifth such cut since 2020. While this means lower mortgage payments for homeowners, it often results in smaller returns for savers. This is because the base rate influences the interest rates banks offer on savings accounts and loans, including mortgages. It comes after news that Nationwide will pay bonus £760 into accounts of customers who do one thing. The Co-operative Bank has acted swiftly, announcing that interest rates on dozens of accounts will be reduced starting on August 14 and October 22. On August 14, the Base Rate Tracker accounts will see reductions, with interest rates dropping from 4% to 3.75% and from 3.75% to 3.5%. For instance, if you had £1,000 deposited for 12 months, the interest earned at 4% would have been £40. After the rate drops to 3.75%, you would earn £37.50 - a difference of £2.50. Similarly, with the rate falling from 3.75% to 3.5%, the interest earned would decrease from £37.50 to £35, meaning £2.50 less over the year, reports the Sun From October 22, various other accounts will experience cuts, including the Future Fund, which will see its rate fall from 1.53% to 1.46%, and the Online Saver, dropping from 2.12% to 2.06%. Other accounts affected include the Smart Saver, Select Access Saver 5, and Privilege Premier Savings, with reductions ranging from 4.15% to 3.9% and 3.53% to 3.4%. Cash ISA holders will also feel the pinch, with Cash ISA 2 rates dropping from 3.25% to 3%. However, there's a silver lining as several savings providers still offer returns of up to 5%. With the average bank customer holding around £10,000 in savings, according to Raisin, switching could be a wise decision. To assist you in getting the best returns, we've compiled a list of the top savings rates for each account type below. Other savings accounts An easy-access savings account usually allows for unlimited cash withdrawals. The top rate easy access savings account currently available is from Cahoot, which offers a 5% return - and you only need to deposit a minimum of £1 to set it up. This means that if you were to save £1,000 in this account, you would earn £50 a year in interest. Meanwhile, West Brom Building Society's easy access account offers customers 4.55% back on savings worth £1 or more. Provider Cahoot is offering an interest of 5.00 percent with a minimum investment of £1, paid on the anniversary. Chase* also offers 5.00 percent interest with a minimum investment of £1, paid monthly. Another offer from Cahoot provides 4.55 percent interest with a minimum investment of £1, paid on the anniversary. West Brom BS offers 4.55 percent interest with a minimum investment of £1, paid yearly. Revolut offers 4.50 percent interest with a minimum investment of £1, paid daily. Cynergy Bank and Principality BS both offer 4.45 percent interest with a minimum investment of £1, paid on the anniversary and yearly respectively. Kent Reliance offers 4.41 percent interest with a minimum investment of £1, paid on the anniversary. Chase includes a 2.25 percent 12-month bonus for new customers only. Another option is a notice savings account. These accounts offer better rates than easy-access accounts but still let you access your money more flexibly than a fixed-bond. RCI Bank UK's 95-day notice account offers savers 4.7% back with a minimum £1,000 deposit. This means that if you were to save £1,000 in this account, you would earn £47 a year in interest. Meanwhile, GB Bank's 120-day notice account offers 4.58%, requiring a minimum deposit of £1,000. If you want to build a habit of saving a set amount of money each month, a regular savings account could pay you dividends. Principality Building Society's Six Month Regular Saver offers 7.5% interest on savings. It allows customers to save between £1 and £200 a month. Save the maximum, and you'll earn £25.81 in interest. There are also regular savings accounts where the amount you can save into the account each month is limited, typically to somewhere between £200 and £500. These accounts offer better rates than easy-access accounts but still let you access your money more flexibly than a fixed-bond. For instance, RCI Bank UK's 95 day notice account offers savers 4.7% back with a minimum £1,000 deposit. This means that if you were to save £1,000 in this account, you would earn £47 a year in interest. Meanwhile, GB Bank's 120-day notice account offers 4.58%, requiring a minimum deposit of £1,000.

George Russell refuses to stay silent as Mercedes F1 star details 'sickening' moments
He is chasing Formula 1 glory as a Mercedes driver but George Russell has another role within the paddock which he feels is just as important after what he has witnessed George Russell has opened up on the "sickening" memories which push him to do more than just race in Formula 1. As well as a driver for Mercedes, the Brit is also a director of the Grand Prix Drivers' Association – essentially the trade union for racers in the sport. It was a role he took on when still very young and rather experienced in F1. He was in just his third season, aged 23 and driving for backmarkers Williams, when Russell became one of just four directors in the GPDA. He joined chairman Alexander Wurz, a former F1 driver, legal expert Anastasia Fowle and four-time champion Sebastian Vettel. The German remained in the role for a time after his retirement in 2022 but was replaced earlier this year by Carlos Sainz. Through his directorship, Russell has become one of the more outspoken drivers in the paddock. He is a particularly passionate advocate for increased safety, having witnessed several crashed first-hand which have either taken or change the lives of the drivers involved. In F1, he was on track when Romain Grosjean smashed into the barrier and his Haas burst into flames at the 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix, which caused damage to his hands and was the last race of his career in the sport. A year earlier, at Spa, he had been present to witness the Formula 2 crash which killed Anthoine Hubert and saw Juan Manuel Correa break both his legs. The Ecuadorean racer was also placed into an induced coma several days after the crash after suffering respiratory problems and spent more than a year out of racing while he rehabilitated. Russell, as a junior racer, had also been team-mates with Billy Monger, who lost both his legs as a teenager in a crash while competing in British F4 at Donington Park. It was moments like those which have inspired Russell to do all he can to help his fellow racers avoid having to go through it themselves. "I am not chasing to leave any legacy, that has never been the intention," he told "It is just that, if I see an opportunity to improve something, I want to speak about it, especially if it comes to track safety or car safety. Seeing that crash live, and then watching Anthoine's crash, I was watching that live. It was sickening to watch. When you experience things like this with people who you know so well, and you believe you have ideas that can help improve the safety or prevent that from happening, then you naturally want to share it. "Romain Grosjean's crash, I saw that. He was in front of me and I passed him, and I still see the image in my head now. I looked in my mirror, and all I could see was flames. It took over my whole mirror. That could have happened to anyone. It could have happened to the greatest driver in the world. That is just the danger we face. So, I think that is probably why I wanted to be more involved than not."
