Expert reveals why the Blazer EV could be the sweet spot of 2025 — and how it's redefining what consumers want

With the future of EV tax incentives in jeopardy, there's never been a better time to cash in on the no-gas-station freedom of electric vehicles. And while there's a dizzying array of options out there, we're here to help you focus on one especially great choice: the Chevrolet Blazer EV.
The Blazer EV isn't the smallest model out there, nor the biggest. It isn't the cheapest, nor the most expensive. It doesn't have the most range nor the most bells and whistles. And yet, in all my testing, I quickly realized that the vehicle has a satisfying Goldilocks quality about all the virtues it possesses — in just the right amounts.
It represents the perfect balance of economy and range, performance, high-quality materials, slick technology, and incredibly good looks. Plus, it wears the Chevy badge — my test vehicle also wore the impressive RS performance name — so it's loaded with all of General Motors' good stuff but is cheaper than one of its cousins, the Cadillac Lyriq.
Let's start with its looks: The Blazer EV is downright handsome. I drove the all-wheel-drive version that was equipped with the optional dual-motor powertrain.
The vehicle's stance is confident, from its eye-catching LED headlights and optional 22-inch wheels to its proportionately angular shape, giving it a distinctly American flair coupled with a healthy dollop of muscle-car DNA. What's not to love?
The interior: Inside, the Blazer EV continues the theme of strength, with round, rocketlike air vents (reminds me of the taillights on '50s Caddys), an easy-to-use 17.7-inch center touchscreen, and an overwhelming sense of spaciousness — both in the front seats and the second row (all of which are heated; the fronts are also ventilated).
The cockpit is noticeably hushed and quiet, and changeable colored ambient lighting brings a premium quality to the interior at night.
How it drives: On the road, the Blazer EV RS AWD is just as impressive. It has the solid, roll-free ride feel of a much more expensive SUV, something that GM has mastered in recent years across its SUV lineup. It's great to see it translate to an all-electric version so seamlessly.
The brakes are strong and responsive, and the regenerative system on them, if turned all the way up, allows for one-pedal driving (and better range). The steering, too, is responsive but not twitchy like some of the competition.
Do you think EVs will dominate our roads in 15 years?
No way
Absolutely yes
Only in some areas
I'm not sure

The only negative I found after a few days of driving was the lack of Apple CarPlay (and Android Auto), but Chevy has installed Google Built-In, which gives a surprisingly detailed version of Google Maps and allows you to use apps like Waze and Spotify.
The tech: The Blazer EV is built on General Motors' Ultium electric platform, something it shares with a few competent others, like the Cadillac Lyriq, the Honda Prologue, and the Acura ZDX.
Each of those models comes in at around 300 miles of range, give or take a few, depending on motor and drive configuration. That should take away any anxiety, especially with the Chevy's fast-charging capability. I like the Blazer's approach to technology — active safety, infotainment, and powertrain. It's a lot, but not too much. There's plenty of luxury and space without feeling that you're overpaying for it.
Be sure to look for state and manufacturer incentives in addition to the federal tax incentive, which, in some cases, can knock around $10,000 off the sticker price.

Volkswagen Virtus crosses 1.43 lakh sales milestone in 3 years, leads midsize sedan market in FY2025

By Aditya Bhagchandani Published on June 9, 2025, 10:33 IST Volkswagen Virtus has surpassed the 1.43 lakh sales mark since its launch in India on June 9, 2022. This milestone includes 61,563 units sold domestically and 81,243 units exported till the end of April 2025. The combined figure is expected to cross 1.45 lakh units once May 2025 numbers are accounted for. The sedan, built on the MQB A0 IN platform, has stood out in a declining midsize sedan market dominated by SUVs. In FY2025, Virtus emerged as the best-selling midsize premium sedan in India with 21,432 units sold, capturing 38% of the segment's market share. It overtook rivals such as the Hyundai Verna, Honda City, and Maruti Ciaz. The Skoda Slavia, its sibling model, is categorized separately as an executive sedan. Virtus has also led Volkswagen India's exports, with 34,640 units shipped in FY2025 alone—making it the sixth most-exported passenger car in the country. It has consistently driven VW India's export momentum since FY2023. The sedan is praised for its build quality, spacious interiors, and strong TSI petrol engine options—offered in 13 variants ranging from Rs 13.50 lakh to Rs 22.43 lakh. With over 40 safety features and a 5-star Global NCAP rating, the Virtus continues to be a strong contender in the premium sedan space despite an industry-wide tilt towards SUVs. Could Buying Tesla Stock Today Set You Up for Life?

Most of the value in Tesla lies in its robotaxi and full self-driving offerings. The company starts with a significant advantage over its competition, and is about to launch its robotaxi concept. Tesla is a speculative growth stock, but it has numerous advantages over the typical growth stock. These 10 stocks could mint the next wave of millionaires › For many investors, buying Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) has already set them up for life, but will that be true for anyone newly buying into the stock now? Here's a look at what you need to know before buying the stock. Tesla is an unusual stock, known to most investors primarily as the leading electric vehicle (EV) company, but that isn't the primary value driver of the stock. Indeed, if you look at Tesla solely as a car company, you would likely avoid the stock. Let's put it this way: Tesla currently trades at a price-to-earnings multiple of 192, compared to single-digit multiples at car companies like Ford Motor Company and General Motors. The valuation discrepancy doesn't stem from Tesla's superior profit margins or its leading position in the electric vehicle market. Instead, it comes down to Tesla being able to do something that rival car companies haven't yet done or have abandoned trying to do: launch a robotaxi service. General Motors has already abandoned robotaxi development, and Ford (which had planned to have a robotaxi service in place by 2021) ended its investment (alongside Volkswagen) in robotaxi company Argo AI in 2022. Volkswagen plans to launch its robotaxi service in 2026. So, if Tesla's valuation isn't justified in terms of being a highly successful electric vehicle company, then how should it be viewed? The following key points apply, and they make Tesla a highly attractive stock for the speculative end of your portfolio: The value in Tesla lies in its robotaxi business; this is not purely a car company stock, or even an electric vehicle stock, and its valuation reflects that. The reliance on robotaxi/full self-driving (FSD) makes it a speculative growth stock. Tesla's installed base of vehicles gives it significant advantages over Waymo and others. Tesla is not your average speculative growth stock; it holds significant advantages over typical growth stocks. The robotaxi concept and the FSD that powers it are potentially a huge earnings driver for Tesla. One of Tesla's most vocal and visible supporters, Cathie Wood's Ark Invest, which expected a valuation of $2,600 per share for Tesla in 2029, relies on a model that prescribes 88% of the company's value from robotaxis, compared to just 9% from EVs. The opportunity to earn recurring revenue from selling unsupervised FSD subscriptions to Tesla owners wanting to use their vehicles as robotaxis is massive, as is the potential to generate recurring revenue on a ride-per-mile basis from robotaxis. Moreover, Tesla plans to mass-produce its dedicated robotaxi vehicle, Cybercab, next year. That said, the robotaxi launch hasn't even taken place yet (it's scheduled for June 12 in Austin), and it will only be on a small scale initially. As such, Tesla is a speculative growth stock, an observation that suggests Tesla stock should be filed on a long list of highly speculative investments to consider on a rainy day. However, there are differences -- in fact, many differences -- between Tesla and typical growth stocks. First, speculative growth stocks are usually not established leaders in the core business that underpins their growth. The Model Y is not only the best-selling electric vehicle (EV) in the world, but it's also the best-selling car in the world. In other words, Tesla already has a compelling brand and is the market leader in the growth area of the auto market. Second, this is not a struggling small-cap stock desperately trying to establish brand recognition and promote its new technology to a sceptical marketplace. Waymo has offered a robotaxi service since 2018, and there is little doubt that consumers want to use robotaxis. Third, Tesla isn't a growth stock struggling with its finances and seeking a larger partner to invest, which would dilute existing shareholders' claims on future cash flows. A quick look at its most recent balance sheet reveals $37 billion in cash and equivalents, alongside $7.5 billion in debt and finance leases, resulting in a net cash position of $29.5 billion. Finally, Tesla's position as a cost-effective automaker with the capacity and scale to ramp up production and the vehicles on the road means it can produce robotaxis (whether Cybercab or existing Tesla models) to support growth, and it has a vast bank of data from Tesla vehicles to use to improve its FSD capability. All told, Tesla is speculative because its robotaxis haven't even been launched yet, there's a lot more certainty around the company than in most growth stocks. That makes it worth buying for the risk-seeking end of a portfolio. Ever feel like you missed the boat in buying the most successful stocks? Then you'll want to hear this.
