Michael Strahan shocked to discover his parents ate his childhood pet pig
Michael Strahan's revealing a long kept family secret.
The 'Good Morning America' anchor, 53, who grew up with his parents Gene Strahan and Louise Strahan and five siblings, had a pet pig as a child — whose fate he found out about only a few years ago.
'I went to shoot with his parents before his father died because I wanted …to give him time with his parents, as one of five children where they just talked about him,' his former 'GMA' co-anchor Sarah Haines said during 'The Weekend View' on Saturday about the sit-down.

During that TV segment, the journalist, 47, learned what happened to Strahan's pet: 'They shared with me that they ate the pig.'
'I come back and I'm giving Michael a hard time, as one would, and I joked about the pig,' Haines recalled, not realizing that her co-worker had no clue what actually happened.
'And he's like, 'What are you talking about?' He didn't know. He didn't know 'cause they were all young.'
Strahan confronted his mom after the fact.

'He was like, 'I had no idea.' And he called his mom,' said Haines. 'And I was like, 'I didn't mean to betray the family trust! I just thought you told him!''
Strahan shared the heartbreaking news that his dad passed in 2020.
At the time, his 'GMA' family gave a sweet shout-out to Gene on air.

'We wanted to take a moment to say our thoughts and our prayers are with our colleague Michael Strahan and his family,' his former co-host Amy Robach said.
'His father Gene Willie Strahan Sr. is being laid to rest today. He was born in 1937 … the first of nine children to receive a high school diploma. Enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1955, Gene rose to become a major and serve with the 82nd Airborne Division.'
She concluded the tribute by sharing a little about his personal life, noting, 'Gene married wife Louise in 1957 and they 'spent 63 wonderful years together bringing up six children. To Michael, Louise and the entire Strahan family, we want you to know our hearts are with you today. We love you, Michael.'

The former athlete, meanwhile, celebrated his mom's birthday in January.
'Happy Birthday to my favorite person….The funny, smart and witty Louise Strahan!! Mom i love you and hope you have the best day ever!' he wrote via Instagram. 'I'm lucky to have you as my mom and love you endlessly! Your baby boy Michael.'
Strahan himself is dad to daughter Tanita, 33, and son Michael Jr., 31, with his first wife, Wanda Hutchins. He also shares 21-year-old twin daughters Isabella and Sophia with his second ex-wife, Jean Muggli.

In 2016, the television star gushed to People, 'My kids give me strength. I love being with the kids. To me, it's all about family, now more than anything.'
Last year, Strahan supported Isabella as she battled medulloblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer.
'She wasn't eating much,' he recalled to People in January about the model, who is now cancer-free. 'She was thin and tired and bald and all the things you hate to see your kid go through.'
But, Strahan added that 'her spirit was there.'
'One of the things she said, probably the hardest thing I had to hear was, 'Dad I'll do whatever. I want to live,'' he said. 'I knew she wouldn't quit. She was going to fight — and she did.'

Woman Takes a Pregnancy Test—First Place She Goes Leaves Internet in Tears
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. An emotional Instagram reel has captured a pivotal moment in two women's friendship. The clip shows Emma Walz waiting on her best friend to answer the door to deliver the news of her positive pregnant test—only 45 minutes after receiving it herself. The best part? Walz's best friend has a new baby of her own, meaning the friends can finally mother alongside each other after a dream they thought was gone. Walz, 23, spoke to Newsweek about the touching announcement and what she is most looking forward to as she and her best friend, Liv, grow as parents together. Photos from Emma Walz's Instagram video of her telling her best friend she's pregnant. Photos from Emma Walz's Instagram video of her telling her best friend she's pregnant. @mrsemmawalz/Instagram "Telling my best friend I'm pregnant (the only one who knew I was a day late)," Walz captioned the reel. "We were engaged together, got married within a few months of each other, and then she got pregnant. And it wasn't time for Josh and I to even start trying months later, she's holding her son, and it's finally time for us to be in the same season again." Speaking further about her journey, Walz said she and her husband had waited for years to have a positive pregnancy test—but not because of fertility issues. The couple got married at 19 and "knew it wasn't wise to have babies yet, as much as [they] wanted them." The bond between Walz and her best friend, Liv, has been strong for years. The two met at nursing school, and they are now emergency room and intensive care unit nurses at the same hospital—but timing differences in life milestones meant they weren't walking in lockstep anymore. "Our seasons separated when she got pregnant in May 2024 with her son," Walz said. "I was the first person she told after her husband. I was so excited, but really struggled with grief surrounding it not being time for my husband and I to start trying yet. Liv and I always wanted to have babies at the same time, and we realized that wasn't going to happen." Despite the bittersweet feelings, Walz and her husband waited for the right time. Finally, in March of 2025, they got pregnant. 'The Honor of My Life' Once she received the news, Walz knew she couldn't wait to tell her best friend that their shared dream was finally happening. "Liv was the only one who knew I was a day late for my period. I knew that when I tested, if I didn't immediately drive to her, it would never be a surprise," she said. "So, we drove immediately to her home and told her 45 minutes after I found out myself. I think that video shows the relief between both of us that it was finally time to be in the same season." Walz also expressed gratitude for Liv's support during her waiting period, saying she has been "gracious" while celebrating her own pregnancy while holding Walz's grief in waiting. "Grieving my wait for motherhood, despite being the one still choosing to use contraception was bizarre," Walz admitted. "The sacrifice of waiting was for this baby and their future, but it didn't change how bad I still wanted this time to come sooner." Now, the friends' shared dream of motherhood alongside each other is coming true—and they couldn't be more excited. "We get to raise our babies side by side," Walz concluded. "I was in her delivery suite, and she'll be in mine. It's the honor of my life to love and be loved so well."

Vanessa Kirby is pregnant with her first child
Vanessa Kirby is pregnant. The 38-year-old actress revealed that she is expecting her first child as she showed off a baby bump during a photocall for her new movie 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' at the Comic Con Experience Mexico on Saturday (31.05.25). Vanessa is said to have got engaged to her partner Paul Rabil last December after he popped the question after two years of dating, according to the New York Post's Page Six column. The pair were first spotted together in New York City in October 2022 and made their romance Instagram official the following year. Paul, the President of the Premier Lacrosse League, captioned a carousel of Instagram images: "from the very minute we first met in des moines, around the world and back, life is far better, more purposeful and more beautiful with you (sic)' Before finding love with Paul, Vanessa dated actor Callum Turner for four years but revealed that she chose to keep the relationship private as people weren't interested in the details. 'The Crown' actress said in 2018: "I keep my relationship super private. "He is just completely wonderful and he's my best friend, so that's ... I guess you can either choose to talk about it or not. If you talk about it, it becomes interesting to people, but if you don't, then it's not." Vanessa portrayed Princess Margaret in the first two seasons of the Netflix drama about the British royal family but feared that she was "finished" after playing a part that seemed over-the-top in comparison to Claire Foy's Queen Elizabeth. She told The Times newspaper: "Claire is the master of subtlety and I'd be sitting across from her in those scenes with tears coming out, smoking cigarettes, my nose running and I'm shouting in her face. "And I remember thinking, 'Oh my God. This could be the most pantomime thing I've ever done. I'm going to be finished after this.'" However, she has since embarked on a career in blockbuster movies - such as 'Mission: Impossible - Fallout' - and explained that she is drawn to playing "strange" characters. Kirby said: "Strange. That's the biggest compliment you could give me: strange. I just love playing strange; the stranger the better.'
