Costa Titch's mother, Lara Langeveld, has shared a deeply emotional tribute on Instagram, opening up about her grief and longing months after her son's tragic passing.
'I miss you more than words could ever explain. Life has been so strange and surreal since you left us.'
Titch, whose real name was Constantinos Tsobanoglou, tragically collapsed on stage in March 2023, while performing at the Ultra South Africa music festival at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg.
Initial reports described him falling, regaining his footing and then collapsing again. He was rushed to the hospital but did not survive.
In early 2024, his family revealed the official cause of death: a previously undetected strain on his heart, worsened by prolonged stress and exhaustion.
This condition is believed to have triggered an irregular heartbeat and fatal seizure during the performance.

While his name, music and image continue to resonate with fans around the world, Langeveld's heartfelt message reminded the public that behind the artist was a young man with a warm heart, infectious laugh and boundless kindness - the son she lovingly raised.
'The world still sees Costa Titch everywhere - your music, your name, your image - but not many see you ... the boy we knew, the gentle soul with the kind heart, that infectious laugh and those warm hugs we miss so much.'
She reflected on the emotional toll of fame, and the weight her son carried behind the scenes, expressing a deep sense of maternal guilt and longing: 'I feel guilty sometimes, raising you to love freely, to be kind, to be open. But part of me wonders … if you had just lived a 'normal' life ... maybe you'd still be here with us.'
And yet, she acknowledged that Titch would never have chosen a different path. His life, though brief, was lived with purpose.
Known for championing unity, love and positivity, Titch stood as a symbol of hope and authenticity for many young South Africans.
'You never chased fame. You chased a purpose. You chased unity. You stood for love and positivity and gave youth something real to believe in.'
As a parent, Langeveld continues to wrestle with sorrow, but finds peace in the belief that her son is now free from the burdens of fame and the pressures of public life.
'Where you are now, you are loved completely. There's no more pain, no more pressure, no more pretending. Just peace. Just love. Just you.'
She ended the tribute with a powerful, eternal declaration: 'I love you, my son. Forever.'
Titch's sudden death at the age of 28 devastated not only his loved ones but also a nation still reeling from the loss of fellow rapper Kiernan 'AKA' Forbes, who was killed just a month prior. Together, their deaths marked a dark chapter in SA's music history.
Langeveld's tribute serves as a touching reminder that while the world remembers Titch as a performer and public figure, his family continues to mourn the son, the brother, the friend, whose spirit touched lives far beyond the stage.

During the interview for her dogs, Carpenter revealed that her dogs sometimes get a glimpse of her glamorous lifestyle, and they also joined her on her 'Short n' Sweet' tour, but unfortunately, they have never seen her perform live. One-year-old Louie posing the camera during the 'Dogue' photoshoot. Image: Instagram 'They wait in my dressing room during the show, so they've actually never gotten to see me perform live, which sucks for them because I think they'd like it,' she said. The 'Espresso' singer also shared: 'Tour is weird for them because it's a super-rock-star lifestyle. They come on the bus.' While answering the 'Dogue' questionnaire, the award-winning singer said that the most human thing that her dogs do is that one is a good listener, while another is empathetic. 'This sounds so foo-foo, but Goodwin is really empathetic. He just knows when you're sick and not feeling well. His eyes are humanlike. He's got a lot of emotion; he has a lot of stories. 'Louie's most humanlike quality would probably be his ears. They're so attuned. He's such a good listener. When you call his name, he actually comes to you,' she said. The 26-year-old further added that the best quality of her dogs is how loving and adoring they both are, and refers to them as 'sweet little babies'. 'This sounds cliché, but their best quality - both of them - is just how genuinely loving and adoring they are. 'I know this from the past; some dogs are not very nice and not very friendly, and my dogs are sweet little babies. They're just the nicest, and they love to cuddle,' Carpenter shared.

‘Four years of love, laughter, joy, peace and fulfilment' — Liesl and Musa Mthombeni celebrate a milestone

Liesl Laurie and Musa Mthombeni have marked a milestone in their relationship. In August 2021 the celebrity couple said their 'I-do's' at a stunning white wedding and have been head-over-heels in love ever since. In celebration of their anniversary the love birds took to Instagram to celebrate four years of blissful marriage. 'Soul-mated so hard that I want to know you forever because you are so deeply ingrained in me, I wouldn't even know what to do if I didn't have you ... I love you Musa — happy anniversary. Four years of bliss. Four years of love, laughter, joy, peace and fulfilment. Thank you for the best days of my life thus far. I look forward to many, many, many more years of doing life with you,' Liesl wrote. Musa also took to his timeline to reflect on the special moments they've shared together and expressed his love for his partner. 'Happy four years of marriage to this shooting star of a woman, Liesl Laurie-Mthombeni. Literally the best four years l've been doing anything. It's our anniversary, naughty girl. 'We did it and continue to do it. To the lady who acts like she's full so that I can eat the last of the food on her plate (BoombaDaddies). To the lady who eats the crust off my pizza slices. To the lady who owes me R500 that I know I'll never get back. You know I'm a shy person who isn't good with words, so I have little to say on a special day such as this, except that marrying you was the best decision l've ever made. I'll continue to choose you every day until the end of time.'
