Shooters shoot! Klay Thompson seemingly confirms Megan Thee Stallion dating rumors
Klay Thompson is ditching subtlety and letting followers know the rumors are true – he and Megan Thee Stallion are dating.
The longtime NBA star took to Instagram over the weekend, posting a carousel of photos July 13 featuring a shot of him and the Houston rapper in an intimate embrace. Later in the slideshow, another shot shows just their hands clasped together, beachside, Thomspon's blue and gold Rolex paired with Megan's baby pink acrylics and abalone shell jewelry.
USA TODAY has reached out to reps for Megan and Thompson for comment.

The post is captioned simply "Sweet Bells son 🌴 🥥," the emojis no doubt a nod to the Bahamas, where the two appeared to be vacationing. Thompson's father, Mychal Thompson, a former NBA player, is Bahamian.
While Megan's face doesn't appear in any of the photos, her unmistakable figure (hottie bootcamp tap in) and voluminous curls left little room for dispute. In a separate post days earlier, Megan spawned rumors of the romance by posting a bikini pic with a man in the background, whom fans speculated was Thompson.

The pairing, certainly not the first crossover between a music star and NBA royalty, feels apt for Thompson's recent geographic shift. After over a decade with the Golden State Warriors, the 35-year-old shooting guard was traded to the Dallas Mavericks in 2024.
Megan, a powerhouse in the rap genre, is a Texas native, born in San Antonio and raised in Houston. Her music notches into Dirty South traditions, her lyrics often referring to Houston, and her style is steeped heavily in rodeo glam.
Now a pair, Thompson and Megan may just be the Longhorn State's biggest power couple yet.

'West Side Story' Star Ariana DeBose Sends Message After Poet Andrea Gibson Dies at 49
'West Side Story' Star Ariana DeBose Sends Message After Poet Andrea Gibson Dies at 49 originally appeared on Parade. It was announced earlier on Monday morning that poet and activist Andrea Gibson passed away after a four-year battle with terminal ovarian cancer. The death was announced to the public through a collaborative post on Instagram by Gibson's account with their wife, Megan Falley, and their friend, Stef Willen. "Andrea Gibson died in their home surrounded by their wife, Meg, four ex-girlfriends, their mother and father, dozens of friends and their three beloved dogs," an excerpt read. "Andrea would want you to know that they got their wish. In the end, their heart was covered in stretch marks." Tributes were written in the comment section and throughout social media from friends, fans, poets and queer artists. Many said that Gibson's words had changed their lives and helped them learn to love themselves. Plus, people who were battling cancer and other terminal illnesses said Gibson made them less afraid of death by reminding them that we never really leave the ones we love. One of the queer artists who paid tribute to the late poet includes Oscar winner and actress Ariana DeBose. DeBose, known for her role as Anita in West Side Story and a member of the original ensemble cast of the Broadway musical Hamilton, reposted the announcement from Out Magazine's official Instagram to her story and wrote the caption "Rest in power beautiful human." Gibson was best known for their groundbreaking spoken-word poetry, performances and activism. Many of the themes that were explored were gender identity, social justice, mental health and love. They were 49 years old when they passed. "Once it goes in, it never comes back out" - Danny Ainge explains why Kevin McHale earned the most accurate nickname in NBA history
"Once it goes in, it never comes back out" - Danny Ainge explains why Kevin McHale earned the most accurate nickname in NBA history originally appeared on Basketball Network. No player is allowed to be a superstar in the NBA without a nickname. It's a rite of passage, a signal to the world that you have arrived, a name that will stick side-by-side with a player's legacy throughout their career. Advertisement We've had some incredible ones over the years — "The Truth", "The Answer", "White Chocolate", "Air Jordan", "King James", "The Black Mamba", "The Mailman" and "Dr J" are just a handful among many nicknames that have graced the Association and injected some magic back into competition. But for every "Chef Curry", "Joker" or "Slim Reaper", there are equally peculiar ones that have somehow stuck, even when slightly questionable or confusing at first. Boston Celtics legend Kevin McHale falls into this category after his teammates dubbed him "The Black Hole" in the 1980s. While it might seem like a bizarre nickname to bestow on a Hall of Famer, luckily for him, it did come with a perfectly logical explanation. Danny Ainge makes the call Most people nowadays recognize Danny Ainge as one of the top-tier executives in the league. Still, he also had a quietly successful playing career that spanned from 1981 to 1995. During that time, he collected two championship rings with the Boston Celtics. Although he wasn't a world-beater on the court, he played a role alongside some of the greatest names the league has ever seen. Advertisement Those names included Larry Bird, Robert Parish, Dennis Johnson, and, of course, Kevin McHale. Night in and night out, Ainge shared the floor with these all-timers, and his experience as a player is likely a key ingredient in his successful transition into an elite front office operator. The titles were nice, but Danny is responsible for handing out one of McHale's most unusual and hilarious nicknames ever. Dubbing the talented power forward "The Black Hole" raised a lot of eyebrows at first. Still, Ainge had perfectly good reasoning for it. "I called Kevin the black hole. Once it goes in, it never comes back out", he explained. When looking back, it's hard to argue with Danny's justification. Not because McHale was a ball hog, but because he was so supremely gifted in the post that the ball rarely ever needed to come back out. During an era where the game was exclusively played inside-out, the 6'11" forward to this day remains arguably the best post player the league has ever seen. Advertisement He was dominant in scoring the ball and creating for others with his back to the basket, and that's saying something considering he played alongside other legends who also had that in their arsenal. As for the nickname, it's barely ever discussed in modern NBA circles, but it was every bit worthy of its description. Perhaps it's not brought up because McHale himself is rarely spoken about, which is disappointing given he is undoubtedly one of the all-time great power forwards in league history. The reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has a shortened initialism of "SGA," but that doesn't feel powerful enough. Advertisement It would be unjust not to give Tyrese Haliburton a nickname after his playoff run with the Indiana Pacers. The same could be said for Jalen Brunson after he led the New York Knicks to their first Eastern Conference Finals in 25 years. It's clear that there are some worthy All-Stars who have yet to be given their basketball alias. It's only a matter of time before someone takes a leaf out of Ainge's book and hands them out.
"There was nobody more inspiring to me than Michael Jordan... but I know I can't pick him because I know how social media works. ... I can see the headline already: 'LeBron wants to play with Michael Jordan.'"- LeBron James 😅(via @mindthegamepod) — ClutchPoints (@ClutchPoints) July 14, 2025 很顯然地,詹姆士也深知自己多年來最常被酸的就是不停組團,包括將天賦帶往邁阿密、到湖人聯手戴維斯(Anthony Davis)等,近年也陸續和威斯布魯克(Russell Westbrook)、唐契奇(Luka Doncic)等球星合作拚冠,每當他稱讚哪個球員時,網路上總是會出現詹姆士又看上誰的言論。
