But it's the end of the road for anyone still playing on a PS4 or Xbox One.
From June 26, Black Desert Online will be exclusive to Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.
Other game studios are gradually doing the same, as they put all their energy into the latest devices and shift away from the old.
A couple of days ago, online shooter The First Descendant went dark on PS4 and Xbox One.
In Black Desert Online's case, developers apparently made the decision due to hardware limitations that make it difficult to introduce new content smoothly.
"We understand that this news may be disappointing for our longtime Adventurers on these platforms," makers Pearl Abyss said.
"Please know that this decision was made after careful consideration, with the goal of ensuring the future growth and evolution of Black Desert Console.
"We remain fully committed to delivering you the best possible adventures in Black Desert."
So, if you don't currently own a PS5 or Xbox Series X/S you'll have to dig deep and buy a brand new console if you want to keep playing the game.
However, for those who do own one, the upgraded game will be available at no extra cost.
OTHER GAME CLOSURES COMING UP
Here's what to watch out for... Resident Evil ReVerse - June 29
Madden NFL 21 - June 30

Danmachi Battle Chronicle - September 29
WWE 2K24 - September 30

All the Gladiators' injuries occurred during filming for the BBC show at the Utilita Arena in Sheffield OUT OF ACTION Gladiators rocked by injury crisis as FOUR stars are forced out by nasty accidents filming new series Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) GLADIATORS has been rocked by an injury crisis with FOUR fan favourites forced out with injury. But it wasn't just male Glads who suffered, with Diamond - Livi Sheldon - rupturing the ACL and MCL in her knee. And Athena - Karenjeet Kaur Bains - busted her knee too. Despite the injuries, the Gladiators will all feature in series three when it airs on the BBC next year in some way - and will be on the live tour this autumn. A source said: 'Gladiators is the ultimate test of speed, strength and endurance - and four of its champions have paid the price. 'It just goes to show that these games are tough and even our professionals can suffer injuries." All the Gladiators' injuries occurred during filming for the BBC show at the Utilita Arena in Sheffield. In 2023 Comet, real name Ella-Mae Rayner, broke her ankle and foot and had to undergo an operation to rebuild her foot. And Sabre, aka Sheli McCoy, tore her hamstring. First Strictly Come Dancing confirm first star for 2025 series - and it's a Gladiator Ella fell 30ft from The Wall in a horrifying accident that almost took away her ability to walk. Whilst they both focus on recovery, the Glads have praised the care of medics on set. As the show is one of toughest and most physically demanding programmes on TV, the production team had a very robust health and safety policy in place as well as appropriate insurances. Risk assessments were carried out for all of the games and the Gladiators and contenders underwent extensive training with experts. A doctor, paramedics, technicians, physios and a trained Health and Safety advisor were all present on set every day. A spokesman for the BBC said: 'The health and well-being of all Gladiators, contenders and crew is of paramount importance. Gladiators is one of the toughest and most physically demanding programmes on TV and due to the high-impact nature of the show it is not unusual for those competing to suffer injuries. "In each instance, as soon as it became apparent that a potential injury had occurred, the correct protocol was immediately followed. "The injured Gladiators are currently following medical advice and working on their recoveries.' 5 Athena - Karenjeet Kaur Bains - also busted her knee

MAFS star ‘heartbroken and devastated' as she's dumped via text after whirlwind romance
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) MARRIED At First Sight UK star Marylise Corrigan has split from her new love after believing she had finally found The One. The reality star went public with her new romance in September last year, telling fans that she had 'found happiness' after suffering heartbreak on the main series. A source told The Sun Online: "Marilyse is really upset and can't believe she's ended up single again. "She was dumped over text after falling head over heels. "It was a whirlwind romance and in hindsight she feels she was love bombed." 'Lovebombing' is a term used to describe those who try to win over someone's affections by quickly showering them with excessive gestures – including compliments, gifts and declarations of love – in order to 'secure' the person's trust and love. In many cases, lovebombing results in an intense emotional attachment, which some use to then manipulate or control the person involved. Marylise first shot into the public eye by participating in the sixth series of the E4 reality show in 2021. She was matched by the experts with Franky Spencer, a former soldier and a strength and conditioning coach. Despite ups and downs, the pair confirmed their vows in the final episode and planned to move forward together away from the programme, but split four months later after their romance "dried up" and they became "more like friends". Marilyse told The Sun at the time: 'A few weeks after the reunion we went our separate ways, we didn't even fall out, we just mutually agreed that maybe we were not each other's future. Married At First Sight's Franky tells Marilyse When I speak you don't speak. 'It's really sad as we got on really well and Franky has a heart of gold but outside the experiment, I had to think, 'Do I want to be with this person forever?'" Marylise then went on to date Matt Murray, 34, a groom who took part in the MAFS experiment in 2022, and had famously ditched his bride for another on the programme. However, after just six months together they split as well, with Marylise later explaining it felt "too intense". When Marylise went public with her new romance in 2024, she declared she had "found happiness" with the mystery man, posting pictures of them on holiday together. "When you've been on a TV show people think that you're going to be really high maintenance", she said. "They think that you're going to have high expectations, that you're all about the glitz and glam, when actually, I'm completely the opposite. "Yes, I like to go out to an event every few months but I'm totally down to earth and normal. "And I think that being on a TV show means you do attract the wrong kind of people as well." 6 Marylise and Franky split after 'becoming more like friends Credit: Channel 4 6 Marylise later dated 2022 groom, Matt Murray

Fuming Paddy McGuinness blasts ‘cowboy' builders over ‘job gone wrong' with his new artificial garden
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) PADDY McGuinness has slammed a group of "cowboy" builders, calling their work on his artificial garden a "job gone wrong". The TV star has called out the company who fitted the lawn after it slowly became overgrown with weeds. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 4 Paddy shared a clip of him explaining how the weeds had emerged in his artificial garden 4 The TV star filmed more than 20 weeds sticking out through the turf which was placed around 'a year or two' ago Credit: TikTok 4 He also highlighted 'yellow and orange patches' which were 'everywhere' in his garden Credit: Tiktok Despite it having been "brilliant" for the past "year or two", the 52-year-old said it had now been taken over by weeds which have crept through the surface. Filming his own furious rant, Paddy showcased the extent of the weed growth, with more than 20 separate weeds visible in the clip. He said the weeds had begun to creep through around five months ago but had spread to almost all stretches of the artificial garden. A large number of the weeds shown in the clip appear to have grown in the space at the edge of the artificial turf and the tiling slabs that surround it. The star also slammed various discoloured patches and hollow bits around the edge, saying: 'Job's gone wrong.' Paddy said he attempted to get back in touch with the company but claimed they did not respond to phone calls or emails he sent. The infuriated TV star even labelled the workers as 'f***ing cowboys' in the clip from yesterday. A frustrated Paddy said in the video: "Why's everyone out to shaft you. "Can no one just offer a service and it be right? "Listen, if you've used a company who lay these kind of lawns and you're happy with it, let me know. 'It drives me wild, you just can't get rid of it' pro gardener reveals the nightmare weed every UK home is at risk of "I don't want to put it down again if it's going to be screwed in another year or two and changing colour and weeds everywhere and dips in it and all that pony." He added: "Please someone, I don't want it for nothing, do not want it for nothing, no tagging in, get in touch. "I'll pay you, do a fantastic job and be gone and let me know how to do the upkeep." This comes after the show Paddy and Chris: Road Trippin' - starring the TV icon and his former Top Gear co-host Chris Harris - was confirmed to be axed. The series has been cut after just one season, despite enjoying decent viewing figures when it aired on Sunday nights on BBC One last year. Despite attracting a reasonable 3.2 million viewers for its opener, the show will not be renewed for any more episodes. A TV insider said: "It certainly wouldn't have helped that just a few weeks before the show began on the Beeb, host Chris was slating the corporation following Freddie Flintoff's horror crash while they were filming Top Gear. "He said that he'd warned show bosses that someone could be killed or seriously injured on the show claiming producers were devising increasingly 'stupid and dangerous' stunts. "The timing was not great, but by that stage Road Trippin', which saw Chris reunited with Paddy without Freddie, had already been made and was ready to go out on air."
