E/K-M's Joe Kramlich wins 2025 Class B State Golf Championship
Jun. 4—JAMESTOWN — The 2024-25 NDHSAA Class B athletic calendar has come to an end with a history-making state title at the 2025 Class B Boys' Golf State Tournament on Wednesday, June 4, at the Jamestown Country Club.
Edgeley/Kulm-Montpelier's Joe Kramlich finished the two-day tournament with a total score of 146 and an even par, for his first state title and the co-op's first ever boys' golf state champion. Kramlich finished one stroke ahead of Oak Grove's Carter Paulus who finished with a total score of 147 and at even par.

"It was a goal when I was younger but when I got here I wasn't really thinking I had a chance at it and after that first day, 'I was like never mind I maybe got a look at it and it worked out,'" Kramlich said.
Kramlich sealed his victory with a par on the 18th hole, leading to an explosion of emotion from his head coach, Rory Entzi, and his assistant coach and father, Aaron.
"Relief, it's so much harder as a coach because you just gotta watch, you gotta watch what happens and accept outcomes," Entzi said. "So it was nerving but it was a relief when it went in. It was a great, awesome feeling ... He's earned it, it's a great achievement."
There was one other region golfer to make the top ten with Harvey/Wells County's Ryan McKinven finishing in a two-way tie for sixth with a total score of 152, alongside Oak Grove's Aidan Zuger.

Kramlich was not the only local golfer to be recognized as Harvey/Wells County's Michael Felchle was named the NDHSAA Senior Athlete of the Year and the Hornets' head coach Steven Felchle was named the Coach of the Year.
"It means a lot. I've put in a lot of work to get here," Michael Felchle said. "I'm really proud of myself, definitely tried my hardest out there, wish I could've played a bit better but still happy with how I did, really proud of myself for getting this award."
There were six local golfers that finished in the top 20 with LaMoure/Litchville-Marion's Nick Meisch, Sargent County's Jace Frye, Linton/HMB's Peyton Masset and New Rockford-Sheyenne's Jackson Schumacher joining Kramlich, McKinven and Felchle. Meisch finished in a three-way tie for 15th with a total score of 157 and a score to par of 9-over-par, coming in just ahead of Frye who finished in a five-way tie for 19th with a total score of 159 and 9-over-par. Masset was one of the five golfers to tie with Frye, with the junior coming in at 159 and 12-over-par. Schumacher finished the event in a three-way tie for 24th with a total score of 160 and a score to par of eight-over-par.
The team event was won by Oak Grove who had a total score of 602 and a score to par of 10-over-par. The Grovers came in just ahead of the Hornets who finished with a score of 632 and a score to par of 33-over-par.

However, it's not because of a lack of talent on his end, it's because of the emergence of eighth-overall pick Bijan Robinson. As Davenport stated in his explanation, Robinson became a true workhorse for the Falcons last season. He garnered 365 touches, which was second in the league behind Saquon Barkley. Advertisement Bleacher Report's Brent Sobleski added that the Falcons should explore trading the fourth-year running back because he has no incentive to sign an extension with Robinson as the workhorse in the backfield. Sobleski believes Allgeier has the workhorse ability, and the Falcons could get a Day Two pick for the back. In his rookie season, Allgeier had 210 carries for 1,035 yards. If you look back at college, Allgeier ran for 2,736 yards and 36 touchdowns in his final two years at BYU. That describes a workhorse pretty clearly. Advertisement This would make sense for the Broncos in the short term, but they'd likely look for Estime or Harvey to pay off in the long term. Estime had a slow rookie season, but Payton believes with adequate volume, he can make strides in 2025. As for Harvey, there's plenty of hype around the second-round draft pick. The addition of Allgeier would give the Broncos a proven workhorse, but could it slow the progression of their last two draft picks at the position? Allgeier does have the potential to be a starter in the NFL, and the Broncos, while full of potential, are one of the weaker proven backfields in the league. Of the backs still left unsigned in the NFL, Dobbins has arguably the best case for being a true, quality starting back in the league - and could be an excellent mentor and teammate for Harvey over the next season or two.
