"Jo bhi hua, sharmnaak hai...": Nawazuddin Siddiqui reacts strongly to Pahalgam terror attack

New Delhi [India], April 28 (ANI): Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has expressed his deep pain and anger following the terror attack that took place in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam region on April 22.
Speaking to ANI, Nawazuddin, calling the incident 'shameful,' said he believes the government will ensure that those responsible are punished.
'Of course, there is a lot of anger and sadness. Our government is working, and they will definitely punish those responsible. 'Jo bhi hua, bohot hi bura hua, sharmnaak hai actually,' the actor told ANI.
When asked about the impact of the attack on tourism in the region, Nawazuddin explained that beyond the financial losses, he noticed that the locals were angry that such an incident occurred on their land. He also shared how tourists always leave with great memories due to the kindness shown by the people of Kashmir.
'Like you said, tourism has been very badly affected. But more than that, after seeing some things myself, I noticed that the local people are very angry. They treat tourists like their own brothers. Jis tarike se Kashmiri welcome karte hain logo ko wo paise se bhi upar ki chiz hoti hain. I cannot explain the amount of love the Kashmiri people have in their hearts for everyone...Whenever people visit Kashmir and return, they always praise the Kashmiris so much, and rightly so,' he said.
'But ye jo incident hua hai isko leke unke andar bohot zyada gussa hain ki humare zameen par ye kaise hogaya,' he added
Nawazuddin went on to speak about the unity displayed across India after the ghastly attack, sharing that it is a moment of pride to see people of all religions coming together in such difficult times.
He said, 'Is ek incident se pura desh ek ho gaya. Kitni fakr ki baat hai, kitni proud baat hai humare desh mein, chahe Hindu ho, Musalman ho, Sikh ho, Isai ho. Sab aise dukhhad situation mein ek saath aajate hain.'(This one incident has brought the whole country together. It is such a proud moment that in times of sadness, whether Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, or Christian, everyone stands together.)
On April 22, terrorists attacked tourists at the Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam, killing 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen while leaving several others injured. The attack was one of the deadliest in the Valley since the 2019 Pulwama strike, in which 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans were killed. (ANI)

All the RCB players will meet Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar inside Vidhana Soudha between 4 and 5 PM. After meeting CM Siddaramaiah from 5 PM onwards in an open bus, the parade will be started from Vidhana Soudha to Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium. From 6 PM onwards, celebrations inside the Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium with fans will start. Actor and filmmaker Jackie Chan has an interesting revelation about the first Rush Hour movie. It stars Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker as mismatched police officers who are assigned to rescue a Chinese diplomat's abducted daughter. Its box office commercial success led to two sequels: Rush Hour 2 (2001) and Rush Hour 3 (2007). On talking about the film, Jackie said, "The whole movie, I don't know what Chris Tucker's saying," he added, "Not a clue," reported People. Jackie later shared that in "every shot" his dialogue was "different" because of how much he struggled to understand. "My dialogue coach sits right behind the camera," he continued. "Every scene, every shot, different dialogue." When asked if he ever shared about the challenges he faced, Chan replied, 'Yes', "I asked my dialect coach, 'What did he say?' 'I got chills': Billy Bob Thornton on returning to Friday Night Lights football field
Washington DC [US], June 4 (ANI): Actor and filmmaker Billy Bob Thornton opened up on how he felt returning to the football field featured in the 2004 film 'Friday Night Lights'. Speaking on a panel at the ATX TV Festival alongside his co-stars from the Paramount series 'Landman', Thornton shared how much of the show is filmed in the oil boomtowns of West Texas. "Last year we went to the Midland -- Odessa area," Thornton said. "So 'Friday Night Lights' was 20 years ago, and I had spent a lot of time on the field, and I walked out on the field and I got chills," reported People. Thornton played high school football coach Gary Gaines in the 2004 film 'Friday Night Lights', directed by Peter Berg and also starring Tim McGraw, Amber Heard and Connie Britton. On December 11, Peacock announced that an adaptation of the Emmy Award-winning football series was officially in development. In 'Landman', Thornton plays an oilman named Tommy Norris who is always looking out for his daughter Ainsley (played by Michelle Randolph), according to People. Although most of the film 'Landman' was shot in and around Fort Worth, Texas, Thornton said filming in Odessa, where he shot the 2004 film, was "a really great moment." "It's a real special area, it's a wonderful place to be because of the people out there," Thornton said, adding that the Landman cast and crew "hope to make people aware of Texas and what it really is and how good the people are down here," reported People. He added, "These days in the climate we are in, people hear you are working in Texas and people think you are going to get shot down there. I told my daughter, 'It's like being in LA but you just see more cowboy hats.' " Thornton noted that filming Landman in Texas is integral to the show's authenticity. "There is something you have to consider when you are doing a movie project," he said. "It's not always the land, the other thing is they don't consider the background actors. If you did it in Vancouver or Santa Fe, you would not get the look with the background actors, and that is very important that they carry themselves as Texans," reported People. (ANI)
