TTE fixes valve, helps resume train journey in Aluva
The incident took place at 8.50am on Monday when a passenger on the Thiruvananthapuram-Mangaluru Ernad Express pulled an emergency chain after which the train halted on the Aluva railway bridge.
The passenger had left behind a bag containing a relative's important documents at Aluva railway station and pulled the chain.
According to an official from the Railways, after the train stopped on the bridge, it was difficult for the guards to restore the valve. TTE Ben Thampi then stepped in and climbed down to the tracks to fix the issue. The train resumed its journey within 10 minutes, he said.
The train's loco pilot had told Thampi that reconnecting the pressure valve would resolve the issue. Thampi told media that he got down between two coaches through the vestibules and restored the valve.

Despite requesting the Ticket Checker, no action was taken to resolve the situation, and his seat remained occupied by another passenger. He wrote, "My seat is occupied by another passenger. I requested the TTE, Sir, to get my seat vacated, but it still hasn't been cleared." Watch the video here: 11123 GWL BJU EXPRESS Sleeper Ka hal Genral Se Bhi Kharab Hai 01. This leads to discomfort and inconvenience for passengers who have paid for reserved seats.
