Housing Minister Meets CMEC Chairman to Discuss Development Projects

Manama: Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, met with Wang Bo, Chairman of China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC), on the sidelines of the Innovation Summit in the Social Housing Sector. The meeting aimed to further develop cooperation following the recent memorandum of understanding to develop over 3,000 housing units in Khalifa City under the Government Land Development Rights Programme. According to Bahrain News Agency, discussions also highlighted the progress of ongoing partnership projects, particularly focusing on CMEC's involvement in executing phases of the Sitra housing development. Additionally, the meeting reviewed the outcomes of the minister's recent visit to the People's Republic of China, which aimed at bolstering bilateral cooperation in housing initiatives.
