Housing Minister Meets CMEC Chairman to Discuss Development Projects
Manama: Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, met with Wang Bo, Chairman of China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC), on the sidelines of the Innovation Summit in the Social Housing Sector. The meeting aimed to further develop cooperation following the recent memorandum of understanding to develop over 3,000 housing units in Khalifa City under the Government Land Development Rights Programme. The minister emphasized the programme's importance in enhancing public-private partnerships to improve housing services for citizens.
According to Bahrain News Agency, discussions also highlighted the progress of ongoing partnership projects, particularly focusing on CMEC's involvement in executing phases of the Sitra housing development. Additionally, the meeting reviewed the outcomes of the minister's recent visit to the People's Republic of China, which aimed at bolstering bilateral cooperation in housing initiatives.
Wang Bo praised the Innovation Summit for its role in creating new partnership opportunities with the government and supporting Bahrain's housing initiatives. This collaboration is expected to significantly contribute to the country's housing development goals.
