Real Housewives star slammed for casino promo after estranged husband says she gambled away $1.5M fortune
Kim Zolciak is facing fresh backlash after promoting an online casino — despite ongoing claims that her gambling habit helped tank her family's finances.
The 47-year-old former Real Housewives of Atlanta star and her estranged husband Kroy Biermann have been embroiled in ongoing legal and financial chaos, shocking fans when they each filed for divorce in May 2023 after nearly 12 years of marriage.
Since then, the pair have been locked in a messy dispute over their Georgia mansion, custody of their four minor children, child support, and alimony.
Amid 9-1-1 calls and fiery claims from both sides, the former NFL linebacker told police in 2023 that Kim was a 'compulsive behavior addict' who had blown a staggering $1.5 million on gambling.
But this week, Kim appeared to shrug off the drama, posting an Instagram video promoting the online casino Stake.
From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop.
'One of my favorite things to do when I have some free time is to play on Stake,' she captioned the clip.
Now, fans say Kim's casino promo is just the latest sign she's not owning up to her mistakes.
Many see it as her flaunting the same behavior that wrecked her marriage and finances in the first place, as critics didn't hold back in the comments.
'Isn't this the issue that caused the split? #gottaproblemdontcare,' one user asked.
Kim clapped back, replying, '@lauriesg absolutely not.'
But the backlash kept coming: 'Omg your gambling. You've learned nothing,' one wrote.
Another added, 'Ain't u already gamble away your fam's $?' while someone else chimed in, 'Promoting gambling when you have literally lost everything. Get it together, girl.'
The accusations about Kim's gambling losses were seen in a 2023 Milton Police Department bodycam video after officers responded to the home after Kim reported a domestic dispute.

Biermann said that Zolciak's penchant for gambling had grown exponentially in recent years. They were pictured in Atlanta in October of 2022
The footage was obtained by RadarOnline.com, about two months after Biermann and Zolciak filed for divorce from one another.
Biermann - who was cautious as he spoke to law enforcement in hopes Zolciak would not hear him- called the Bravo personality a 'narcissist to the extreme level.'
Biermann said that Zolciak's penchant for gambling had grown exponentially in recent years.
'It's probably been going on for pretty much our entire marriage and it's gotten significantly worse,' Biermann said of Zolciak. 'In the last two years, she's gambled away $700,000 - just in the last two-and-a-half years.'
He added: 'The total in the marriage was about $1.5 million dollars - and she does it online.'
In the incident, Zolciak told police that Biermann had locked in a safe a cache of valuable items she owned that were worth $175,000 - including designer purses and jewelry - and hid the key from her.
Biermann said he believed the lot of items fell under the classification of community property, adding of the items: 'The problem is these are the assets, there are no [other] assets to go to.'
Biermann told police that the Don't Be Tardy alum 'has decimated everything' with her penchant for gambling; he added that some of her gaming activity was illegal.
Zolciak and Biermann's four kids - Kroy Jr., 13, Kash, 12, and twins Kane and Kaia, 10- were at home at the time of the altercation.
(Biermann had adopted Zolciak's older children from previous relationships - Brielle, 26, and Ariana Biermann, 21 - when they were minors in the couple's earlier years.)
In documents filed at the time, Zolciak said that Biermann smokes marijuana, calling into credibility his ability to raise their kids; while Biermann claimed that Zolciak's gambling habit has consumed her time and decimated the family finances.
In February, the exes sold their Georgia home for $2.5 million, after originally attempting to sell it for $6 million.
They bought the seven-bedroom, 11-bathroom property in 2012 for $880,000.
In March, Kim confirmed she's dating again just days after breaking down in tears over finally being 'free of' Kroy.
While she didn't reveal the identity of her suitor, Zolciak — who was previously linked to Tom Hanks' son Chet — dished that he's 'age-appropriate' and 'definitely not' a Hollywood type.

Scranton couple inspired by The Office suggest Slough house swap
What do the American city of Scranton and the Berkshire town Slough have in common? For many TV fans, it's the UK and US versions of The Office, starring Ricky Gervais and Steve Carell as comical managers David Brent and Michael Scott respectively. More than 20 years since the UK version first aired, both shows continue to be binge-watched by fans across the one couple from Scranton, Philadelphia, is looking for people from Slough to do a house swap so they can compare the two. Andrew Maine and his wife Jennifer have lived in Scranton together for almost three years and think the town wasn't shown in the most flattering of lights. "If you mention Scranton to an outsider, the show is usually the first thing that comes to mind," Mr Maine told BBC Radio Berkshire. "Most people around here feel the show didn't do a good job of representing our area," Mr Maine explained."A lot of locals take offence the showrunners picked the area because it is economically depressed, boring and doesn't have much going for it."With websites dedicated to tours of Scranton for the show's fans, the couple feel the show has had an impact on how people see the city, which is near New York. Mr Maine continued: "There's so much to offer here, but we really feel like it's under-utilised."Hundreds of fans of The Office still make pilgrimages to Scranton every year. "The local government and businesses lean into this to a degree - there are several murals, a few exhibits, a walking tour and some merchandise." 'Unique link' "I love the show and it got me thinking, what impact has The Office had on Slough - is it the same as here?" Mr Maine is where the idea to do a cultural exchange came from and the couple is now looking to do a house swap or host some Slough Maine continued: "We could show them our area and then we could do the same thing over there."We thought it would be equal parts humorous and interesting. Sure, other cities have connections on a global scale, but ours, linked by a television show, is truly unique." You can follow BBC Berkshire on Facebook, X (Twitter), or Instagram.

Ben Affleck serves as the third wheel during dinner date with Matt Damon and wife Luciana
Ben Affleck became the 'third wheel' alongside childhood friend Matt Damon and his wife Luciana Barroso over the weekend. The 52-year-old Affleck and 54-year-old Damon were spotted at Steak 48 in Beverly Hills alongside Damon's 48-year-old wife, who he tied the knot with in 2005. They were spotted at the restaurant hours after they appeared at Netflix 's Tudum event at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, where Ben roasted Matt for his grey beard. They were both at the event to present the first footage from their Netflix action film The Rip, and then enjoyed a late dinner in Beverly Hills. Ben was spotted wearing a black t-shirt under a black leather jacket, with blue jeans and black boots for the dinner outing. His childhood friend Matt opted for a white button-down short-sleeved shirt, grey pants and white sneakers for his outing. Damon grew out the grey beard to portray Odysseus in director Christopher Nolan's highly-anticipated adaptation of Homer's The Odyssey. Filming started in late February on the film, which also stars, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson and Charlize Theron, though it's unclear if filming has yet to wrap. When they took the stage, Affleck joked, 'I trusted Matt would shave the beard before Tudum. And here we are.' They introduced co-stars Teyana Taylor, Steven Yeun, and Catalina Sandino Moreno. Affleck and Damon portray Miami cops whose team's trust begins to fray upon discovering millions in cash in a derelict stash house in Joe Carnahan's crime drama premiering January 16 on Netflix. 'The Rip came out of a deeply personal experience that my friend went through, both as a father and as head of tactical narcotics for the Miami Dade police department,' Carnahan told Tudum last Saturday. 'It's inspired in part by his life and then, by my enduring love for those classic seventies cop thrillers that really valued the character and interpersonal relationships and became touchstones of that era — films like Serpico and Prince of the City and more recently, Michael Mann's Heat.' Sasha Calle, Néstor Carbonell, Lina Esco, Scott Adkins, and Kyle Chandler will also appear in The Rip. The Boston besties co-produced Bill Condon's $30M-budget remake of West End musical Kiss of the Spider Woman, starring Ben's second ex-wife Jennifer Lopez, which hits US theaters October 10. Matt is currently on break from filming Universal Pictures $250M-budget 'mythic action epic' already scheduled to hit theaters on July 17, 2026. The Odyssey marks Damon's third time being directed by Nolan after his 2023 atomic bomb biopic Oppenheimer, and his 2014 sci-fi epic Interstellar. Principal photography officially began February 25 on the IMAX flick, and filming is also expected to take place in Italy, Greece, Morocco, Scotland, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.
