After a moment, LeBron, 40, can be seen popping his head out from behind the wall to give Savannah a kiss. Before the Lakers star walked back into the tunnel, likely to do postgame media, he and Savannah locked hands and exchanged some words.

LeBron made history with his son Bronny this Lakers season when they became the first father-son duo to share the court. Bronny, 20, was drafted to his father's team last June. After the game on Wednesday, LeBron told media that playing with Bronny was the highlight of his season.

"No. 1 for sure," said the father of three. That's easy. It's not even close. He has a bright future because not only can he play the game of basketball, he's just a great f------ kid. I have to say that I have a lot to do with that."
As expected at the end of another season for LeBron, who was drafted in 2003, reporters asked the basketball star if he's given more thought to retirement.
"I don't have an answer to that," LeBron said. "Something I'll sit down with my family, my wife and my support group, have conversations with myself on how long I want to continue to play. We'll see."

Shaq suggests Giannis Antetokounmpo should avoid teams such as Lakers

Shaq suggests Giannis Antetokounmpo should avoid teams such as Lakers It is widely believed that Giannis Antetokounmpo will ask the Milwaukee Bucks to trade him at some point this summer. If he does indeed ask out, there is always the chance that he requests to be sent to a marquee team in a marquee market. Some Los Angeles Lakers fans are hoping their favorite team ends up landing Antetokounmpo, a two-time NBA regular-season MVP who led the Bucks to the world championship in 2021. But Lakers great Shaquille O'Neal feels the "Greek Freak" should steer clear of teams that are based in big markets such as Los Angeles for a few reasons. 'I would tell him that, probably, a bigger market doesn't matter' O'Neal said. 'Social media is the market now. Giannis has made a name for himself on social media. If you go to L.A., 50% of your contract goes to taxes, more pressure and more stress. Being that he's in control of that ship, he should go upstairs and be like 'I want to see all the free agents, I want phone numbers and I want to talk to them.' He should bring people to him. When I was coming up, it was small market was too small, probably need to go to a big market. But now, every market is the same. Nobody cares what city you're in, this ain't the '90s.' O'Neal, of course, left a small-market team in the Orlando Magic, even though it had plenty of potential moving forward, to join the Lakers in 1996 as a free agent. While coming to the Lakers would allow him to eventually win three straight NBA titles, it also gave him the opportunity to market himself off the court and appear in movies and television shows while continuing to pursue his budding hip-hop career. Of course, that was a much different time, long before the start of social media and back when access to the internet was just starting to proliferate across the land. While the Bucks seemed to still be contenders after winning it all in 2021, it is now clear that they have exhausted their potential. Their supporting cast is aging and thinning, and Antetokounmpo's co-star, Damian Lillard, who was acquired prior to last season in a stunning trade, recently tore his Achilles. It appears that a trade would be best for both parties at this point, especially now that Antetokounmpo is 30 years of age.

Nuggets Predicted to Trade Star Forward in 3-Team Mock Trade Involving Lakers, Nets

Nuggets Predicted to Trade Star Forward in 3-Team Mock Trade Involving Lakers, Nets originally appeared on Athlon Sports. NBA trade rumors have begun to the heat up with the offseason right around the corner as teams look to upgrade their roster this summer. Advertisement One team that has seen their fair share of trade rumors is the Denver Nuggets who may end up making some moves this summer after being eliminated in the second round of the playoffs for the second consecutive season. Of course, the Nuggets are trying to capitalize on Nikola Jokic's prime as they try to win another championship but they may need to retool their roster around the three-time MVP to become contenders once again. Advertisement With this in mind, Sports Illustrated's Liam Willerup recently proposed a three-team mock trade that includes the Nuggets, Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets. In the trade, Willerup has Denver receiving Dalton Knecht and Rui Hachimura, Los Angeles receiving Nicolas Claxton and Brooklyn receiving Porter Jr. and a 2031 first-round pick via the Lakers. Brooklyn Nets center Nic Claxton takes a rebound away from Toronto Raptors guard Ochai Agbaji during their game at Scotiabank Arena on March 25, Hamilton-Imagn Images This is an interesting trade but one that could benefit all three teams involved. For the Lakers, they would complete their goal of adding a new starting center and they would receive a solid one in Claxton. For the Nets, they would add a potential star in the making in Porter Jr. who would finally be the focal point on offense. Advertisement Denver would also add some key pieces with Hachimura taking over Porter Jr.'s spot while also adding a young bench piece in Knecht to upgrade their second unit offensively. Magic's 2009 Finals vs. Lakers Makes Hypothetical NBA List

Magic's 2009 Finals vs. Lakers Makes Hypothetical NBA List originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Orlando Magic have shown that they have a bright future with their young core of Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner. However, the Magic were contenders for the NBA championship during the late 2000s. The organization even reached the NBA Finals in 2009 and battled against Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers. Advertisement Orlando had a promising postseason run that year. In the first round, they beat the Philadelphia 76ers in six games. That was followed by a seven-game series against the Boston Celtics in the second round. Upon reaching the Eastern Conference finals, the Magic faced the Cleveland Cavaliers, led by LeBron James. Orlando outplayed Cleveland in six games to advance to the Finals. Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard during the second quarter against the Denver Nuggets at Amway Klement-Imagn Images With the 2025 NBA Finals underway, Bleacher Report's Matt Velasquez released 15 of the biggest "What-Ifs" since 2000. Surprisingly, the Magic's Game 4 performance against the Lakers made it to the list. The Magic were up 87-84 with 11.1 seconds left. Their franchise star at that time, Dwight Howard, was on the line to shoot two free throws. However, Howard isn't the most reliable player when it comes to shooting from the line, as the three-time Defensive Player of the Year shot 59.4% during the 2008-09 season. Advertisement Howard missed both shots, and the Lakers got the basketball. With 4.6 seconds left, Los Angeles' point guard Derek Fisher shot a 3-pointer and sent the game to overtime. The Magic dealt with a 99-91 defeat and fell to 3-1. Orlando couldn't overcome the deficit and lost the series in five games. "But what if Howard had made one (or both) of those free throws and helped the Magic hold on? Then the series would have been tied at two games apiece with Game 5 in Orlando. Had the series been even at that point, there's no telling what could have happened," Velasquez wrote. The Magic couldn't capture what they had that year and were eliminated in the conference finals the following year. The next two seasons were underwhelming as they were eliminated in the first round. Advertisement This also led to the eventual breakup of Howard and the Magic.
