E.Coli traces found in water tanks of Ghaziabad high-rise with 1,000 residents
According to the officials, after multiple complaints from residents, the department team collected six water samples on June 5, all of which failed to meet acceptable safety standards. "In water samples taken several times, E. coli presence was confirmed," district surveillance officer, Dr RK Gupta said.
A notice was promptly issued to society management on June 9, directing them to clean the overhead tanks and submit a corrective action plan.

"Despite the notice, the samples taken for a follow-up inspection on July 5 were found unsatisfactory. The management was served another notice demanding updates, but no response or remedial measures were reported," Gupta told TOI.
Officials further maintained that the society's four overhead tanks lacked proper cleaning logs and maintenance records. "Even drinking-water tanks remain uncleaned, and no filtration measures are in place—a serious lapse in standard protocols," he added.

No improvement in student's condition: AIIMS
Bhubaneswar: AIIMS Bhubaneswar on Monday said there is no improvement in the health condition of the 20-year-old girl who attempted self-immolation outside a govt college in Balasore on Saturday over alleged sexual harassment by a faculty member. "We cannot say the condition is improving. We can say she is critical and stable. The initiative, which uses artificial intelligence (AI)-powered diagnostics, aims to facilitate early detection, interrupt transmission chains, and swiftly reduce TB prevalence in high-risk areas.
