Jayden Adams has expressed his delight after securing his first league title since making a high-profile switch from Stellenbosch FC to Mamelodi Sundowns in the January transfer window.
The 24-year-old midfielder has made an immediate impact at the Chloorkop-based club, featuring in 17 Betway Premiership matches since his arrival.

Adams has also contributed three league goals and played a key role in helping the Brazilians clinch a record-extending eighth consecutive league championship.
'It's a nice feeling for me to only achieve this in nearly just 6 months after coming here,' Adams said.
'This one goes to my family, friends and everyone back in Cape Town. It's a nice achievement for me and there's many more to come. To come here is not easy because there are a lot of good players here and I just came here and gave it my best.
'There are a lot of players that help me on and off the field like Ronwen (Williams) and Iqraam (Rayners) Mshishi (Themba Zwane), Grant (Kekana) and (Teboho) Mokoena.'
The Bafana Bafana international was part of the national squad that earned a bronze medal at the Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d'Ivoire last year. He believes that experience, along with Stellenbosch's campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup, helped prepare him to thrive at Sundowns.
'This helped me a lot because I played with a lot of players at Bafana and they helped me a lot. At Stellenbosch FC, I think the Confederation Cup helped me a lot to show my talent in Africa,' he added.
'It's a tough one for us playing every single week like three games in a row but preparation and recovery is important for us. We've won the league and now we can focus on the CAF Champions League final.'

Sundowns leave it late to sink Magesi
Coach Miguel Cardoso rang the changes, retaining only Ronwen Williams from the previous line-up. Mamelodi Sundowns left it late to grind out a 2-0 victory over Magesi FC in a Betway Premiership encounter at the Seshego Stadium on Wednesday night. Sundowns finally strike Jayden Adams and Peter Shalulile scored deep into the contest to steer the Brazilians past Dikwena tsa Meetse. Magesi were reduced to ten men when Lehlohonolo Mtshali received his marching orders for a second bookable offence with 11 minutes remaining. ALSO READ: US club submit multi-million rand offer for Pirates' Mofokeng – report It was far from a polished Sundowns display, but they did just enough to leave Limpopo with maximum points ahead of their eagerly anticipated MTN8 semifinal second leg against Orlando Pirates on Saturday. With that clash in mind, coach Miguel Cardoso rang the changes against Magesi, retaining only Ronwen Williams from the first leg of the Pirates match. Among the fresh faces was 19-year-old youth international Gomolemo Kekana who made his senior debut after a stellar year that included scoring the winner for Amajita in the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations final in May. Kekana's night ended at half-time, however, as he was withdrawn for Thapelo Maseko after picking up a yellow card in the opening minute. The first hour offered little in the way of attacking quality, with Sundowns struggling to impose themselves while Magesi created the better chances. Williams was forced into action to keep his side on terms, and Lehlogonolo Mokone was unlucky not to break the deadlock just before the interval when his header from a Mcedi Vandala cross rattled the upright. Cardoso looks to his bench In search of control, Cardoso turned to his bench on the hour mark, introducing Marcelo Allende, Thapelo Morena and Tashreeq Matthews for Sphelele Mkhulise, Bathusi Aubaas and Siyabonga Mabena. The changes eventually paid off as Adams pounced on a loose ball from a corner to fire home the opener in the 73rd minute. Pirates beat Stellies to register first league win of the season
Kamogelo Sebelebele was an Orlando Pirates hero again after scoring a winner in Bucs' 1-0 victory over Stellenbosch FC in a Betway Premiership match played at Orlando Stadium on Wednesday. This was Pirates' first win and points registered in the league after starting the 2025-26 campaign with two league defeats against Sekhukhune United and Marumo Gallants. It was also thanks to man-of-the-match Sebelebele's late goal here on Saturday that Pirates played a 1-1 draw against Mamelodi Sundowns in the 1st leg of the MTN8 semifinal. The second leg will be played at a sold-out Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday. These were not easy points for Pirates as Stellies pushed them all the way and had a better second half in which they were unlucky not to find an equaliser. There was pressure for Steve Barker's side to get something out of this game after losing to Kaizer Chiefs at home and playing a draw away to Magesi FC in their first two league matches.

Shalulile equals Nomvethe's record as Sundowns beat Magesi in Polokwane
Peter Shalulile has equalled the Premier Soccer League all-time scoring record of legendary Siyabonga Nomvethe with 129 goals. The Namibian hitman scored the second goal when Mamelodi Sundowns beat 10-man Magesi FC 2-0 at Seshego Stadium in Polokwane on Wednesday night to move to third spot on the log with seven points from three matches. Midfielder Jayden Adams opened the scoring for the Brazilians after 74 minutes and Shalulile, who did not feature much last season, rounded this win to register his personal tally of goals to 129. Sundowns have closed the gap on early pacesetters Sekhukhune United and Kaizer Chiefs on the Betway Premiership standings by two points and have managed two league wins in succession. It is also a morale-boosting three points considering they are up against rivals Orlando Pirates in the MTN8 semifinal second leg at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday. Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso made several changes to the team that beat AmaZulu last week with rare starts for Bathusi Aubaas, Sphelele Mkhulise, Siyabonga Mabena, Gomolemo Kekana, Kutlwano Letlhaku and Shalulile. There were also substitute appearances for forgotten midfielder Thapelo Maseko, Lebo Mothiba and Thapelo Morena, whose availability after injury comes at the right time given the continued absence of Khuliso Mudau. Magesi coach John Maduka went with his tried and tested team of the likes of Elvis Chipezeze, Delano Abrahams, Wonderboy Makhubu , Thabang Sibanyoni, Mcedi Vandala and Kgomotso Mosadi. Sundowns opened the scoring after 74 minutes through Adams whose scrambled effort bounced off the body of Abrahams on its way into the net after Magesi failed to clear in the box. Magesi played the last 10 minutes with a man down after Lehlohonolo Mtshali was given his marching orders for an unsporting tackle on attacker Tashreeq Matthews. That decision by referee Tshidiso Mkwanazi left Maduka unhappy who remonstrated with the fourth official.
