‘She's a kid': Alix Earle slammed for video with 12yo sister
Alix Earle has faced a wave of criticism after she helped dress her 12-year-old sister for a concert, with many viewers describing the influencer's choice of outfit for the pre-teen as too 'grown-up'.
The star, 24, who boasts over 7.5 million followers, shared a 'Get Ready With Me' video on TikTok where she filmed herself helping her little sister Izabel get ready for The Weeknd's concert.
The New Jersey native explained to the camera that she would assist Izabel in getting ready, before presenting a range of options for the tween to wear – including tiny crop tops and mini skirts.
At one point, the upcoming Dancing With The Stars cast member selected a red latex crop top and cut a black skirt with scissors so it was ultra-short.
A mini grey tank top was also an option she chose, as was a strapless maroon corset that the tween declared 'ugly'.
A see-through leopard singlet was also included in the mix.
The video abruptly ended before a decision was made, but Earle updated her followers in the comments, saying that her sister ended up going in her 'own direction' with her outfit.
When someone else inquired what she ended up wearing, Earle said she didn't want to share as she was afraid of the 'haters'.
Thousands of viewers raced to the comment section to condemn Earle's fashion direction. 'She's 12, she needs to stay a kid,' said one.
'Alix, I love you but we gotta protect our little siblings and let them be kids. C'mon girlfriend,' said another.
Someone else pointed out that 'all those options a 25-year-old could wear', while another added: 'None of these are good for a 12-year-old'.
Meanwhile, one follower called the video a 'hard watch,' especially the part where she cut the skirt even shorter.
'My daughter just turned 11, I couldn't imagine. They are kids, let them be kids,' said someone else.
'All these outfits are WAY too inappropriate for a child. I would never ever let my little 13-year-old sister walk out of the house dressed in any of those,' declared someone else.
However, not everyone was so critical. 'When I was her age, literally all I wanted was this stuff. She's probably having so much fun, as she should,' one defended.
'Y'all didn't have an older sister when you were 12 and it shows,' said someone else.
'Guys, she's in high school, why are you acting like she's six?' said another.
'Also, Alix is her cool older sister – not her mum,' pointed out someone else.
In June 2024, Earle shared a catwalk with her siblings at the Miami Swim Week.
She walked alongside her sister Ashtin, 22, and half-sisters Izabel and Penelope, eight, during the show.
Earle and Ashtin sported black and white bikinis, while the younger sisters matched in pink and white one-pieces.

Get your first month for just $1. Limited time offer. The Australian, whose tennis career has been blighted by significant injuries over the past three years, took to Instagram over the last 24 hours for a Q and A session with his 4.1 million followers. Using the caption 'Don't hold back, ask whatever', Kyrgios was hit with a wide range of questions and chose to respond to a number of them using Instagram stories. Among queries about his tennis career and his advice for others, the Canberran was also asked a question by someone who has been following his styling trends. Nick Kyrgios answered a wide range of questions on Instagram. (Photo by Don Arnold/WireImage) 'How's 30 treating you so far and when are you debuting the new haircut?' was one of the questions. Kyrgios replied with a video of him driving and the caption: '30 is unreal – not even in my prime yet. And shaved heads is UNREAL.' You can see the new look in the video below. Cracks had appeared in Kyrgios and Hatzi's relationship earlier this year. In a telling sign in this day and age, they both removed each other from their Instagram bios before Hatzi broke her silence on the rumours in April. 'It's been great,' Hatzi told The Daily Telegraph when asked about her life since the romance ended. 'I'm still going on with work and I have a few different brands that I'm working with at the moment.' She went on to insist that it's important to 'put yourself first' in life. Naturally, Kyrgios – who has stayed quiet about the details of the separation – was also asked about Hatzi during his fan session. 'Will you ever talk on the split with C or keeping it private?' was one question. He said: 'Things happen. I wish her nothing but the best. So many incredible memories that will stay with me.' Kyrgios was also asked what he thought of another former partner, tennis player Anna Kalinskaya, who later had a relationship with current world No. 1 Jannik Sinner which ended in May. Earlier this month, Kyrgios got tongues wagging after a public display with a woman being called a Hatzi 'look-alike'. Kyrgios began chatting with former Love Island reality TV contestant Mia Dalkos. It has not gone unnoticed that Dalkos, whose real name is Efthimia, has unmistakably similar features to the woman Kyrgios recently broke up with. Kyrgios and popular fashion designer Dalkos caused a stir with flirty recent social media engagements. Dalkos captured Kyrgios' attention on Instagram when she shared a video of herself glammed up at a hair salon. Kyrgios sparked romance rumours with Mia Dalkos (left) and his post on Hatzi. Photos: Instagram Kyrgios commented on the post by sharing a 'double eyes' emoji — a less than subtle way of showing Dalkos that he was interested in the post. The 23-year-old South Australian responded to the former Wimbledon finalist by posting a shy smiling emoji of her own. The 30-year-old Canberran followed up his first message by posting a blunt 'Beautiful' comment on a second photo Dalkos shared the following day. Kyrgios was also in the news in the past week after it emerged he had been axed from a commentary role with the BBC. Reports first landed on Wednesday morning this week the Australian tennis star has been told his services will not be required when the network begins its coverage of Wimbledon, beginning June 30. Kyrgios has barely been sighted on a tennis court in recent years. (Photo by Simon Bruty/Anychance/Getty Images) It comes after his appointment to the broadcaster's team for the event last year sparked uproar. In another body blow, The Telegraph reports Kyrgios will also not appear during ESPN's coverage of the tournament, despite working with the American broadcaster during the Australian Open in 2024 and 2025. It has been a brutal few weeks for the 30-year-old after he was last month forced to pull out of his plans to play doubles with partner Jordan Thompson at the French Open. Citing a recently flared up knee injury, Kyrgios was forced to pull out on the eve of the event and he last week confirmed he will not play at Wimbledon this year because of injuries. Naomi Watts' daughter reveals struggles with her identity
Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber's trans daughter, Kai, always had a vision for her future. 'I want to be a supermodel. Period,' Kai, 16, said in a Q&A with Interview Magazine published Wednesday when asked to share her dream career. 'I've been practising my walks in the kitchen for years; my mum can show you all the videos I forced her to film,' she continued. 'Struggling with gender identity from a young age most likely had something to do with it.' The teenager added, 'I always wanted to grow up and be a beautiful, glamorous, influential woman, like Marilyn.' Kai also told Interview that she looks up to 'the older generation of transgender people.' 'People like Alex Consani, Hunter Schafer, Hari Nef, Dara, Richie Shazam, Colin Jones, and so many more,' she said, listing her fashion role models. 'It's so great that there's a strong community of us in the fashion world; it's really a doll takeover.' Kai, who is the second child of Watts and Schreiber, made her runway debut for Valentino at Paris Fashion Week in March. The following month, the model appeared in the fashion brand's chic pre-fall campaign — with her mum celebrating the achievement on social media. 'Congratulations @kaischreiberrr — so exciting!! ï¸,' the King Kong actress, 56, gushed on Instagram, adding, 'Beaming with pride.' Last month, Schreiber discussed Kai's transgender identity publicly for the first time in an interview with Variety. 'Kai was always who Kai is,' the Perfect Couple actor, 57, told the outlet. 'But I suppose the most profound moment was her asking us to change her pronouns,' he explained. 'To be honest with you, it didn't feel like that big of a deal to me only because Kai had been so feminine for so long.' He described his fashionable daughter as being 'as feisty and outspoken as they come.' 'Kai is such a fighter,' he added. 'It's important that she goes, 'Hey, I am trans,' and, 'Look at me.'' Schreiber and Watts began their relationship in 2005 — welcoming son Sasha in 2007 followed by Kai in 2008. The former couple split in 2016 after 11 years together, but they've continued to amicably co-parent their children. The blended family came together for Sasha's graduation last week, with Watts' husband, Billy Crudup, and Schreiber's wife, Taylor Neisen, in attendance. This story originally appeared on Page Six
