Rhian Ramos reveals getting Botox after filming ‘Sang'gre' as Mitena: ‘Masyado akong nagalit'

GMA Network20 hours ago

Rhian Ramos candidly revealed that she went to get Botox on her face after wrapping up her emotionally taxing role as Mitena, the evil ice queen, in 'Sang'gre.'
On Friday's 'Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,' Rhian said that inhabiting Mitena's persona for the project was emotionally challenging.
'It was very challenging for me emotionally para laging ma-reach 'yung level na 'yon of hate, anger, pain, evil, gano'n para umabot ako sa gusto kong pumatay, sumakop, manakit,' she said.
Rhian explained that it was 'pretty intense' for her every day.
'First thing na ginawa ko nung natapos 'yun, nagpa-Botox ako agad. Sabi ko masyado akong nagalit, gusto kong hindi gumagalaw ['yung mukha ko], like ayoko nang magalit. Ang intense! Thanks, Dra. Vicki [Belo],' she said.
Botox is a cosmetic treatment injected to patients who want to straighten out unwanted wrinkles.
After wrapping up taping for the Kapuso series, Rhian desired a period of rest and rejuvenation.
'Parang for the next two months, parang gusto ko na lang magpa-spa, magpaganda, magpa-relax, magpamasahe, magpaayos ng mga kung ano-ano, gusto ko ng magandang skin,' she said.
Rhian recalled that they shot the project for two years.
'That's a long time to be angry every day. It takes a toll. And siyempre dahil mahal namin 'yung mga characters namin ang trabaho namin, we're game to do it pero nakaka-wrinkles siya, nakaka-stress siya. Hindi siya nakaka-fresh,' she said.
Mitena is one of the main antagonists in 'Sang'gre.'
She is the twin sister of Cassiopeia, a character played by Solenn Heussaff in the series that aired in 2016. Cassiopeia is the first queen of Lireo.
"Sang'gre" is a spinoff of the iconic Kapuso fantaserye "Encantadia."
It will introduce the newest keepers of the brilyantes: Flamarra (Faith Da Silva), Deia (Angel Guardian), Adamus (Kelvin Miranda), and Terra (Bianca Umali).
Aside from Rhian, "Sang'gre" will feature a new set of characters which include Ysabel Ortega as Armea, the late Ricky Davao as Governor Emil, and Sienna Stevens who will take on the role of younger Mitena.
"Sang'gre" will premiere on GMA Prime on June 16.

Ruru Madrid after 'Lolong 2' finale: 'Magbabalik ako'

Did Ruru Madrid just tease a possible continuation of 'Lolong'? Following the finale of the second season, 'Lolong: Pangil ng Maynila,' which aired on Friday, the Primetime Action Hero reflected on the journey in an Instagram post. 'Walong buwan ng buhay ko ang binuhos ko rito,' Ruru said. 'Hindi naging madali. May mga sugat, pagod, at pagkakataong muntik na sumuko.' 'Pero sa bawat laban, mas tumibay ang loob ko. 'You've been part of my growth,' he said. 'It was a good run. And now, I'm walking into what's next—wiser, stronger, and hungrier than ever.' In the 'Squid Game' final trailer, Seong Gi Hun is determined to ' put an end to it'

Seong Gi Hun is stopping at nothing to put an end to the deadly 'Squid Game.' The final trailer for the third and last season saw Seong Gi Hun (Lee Jung Jae) speaking to Jang Geum Ja or Player 149 (Kang Ae Shim) as scenes from the first two seasons flashed onscreen. 'Are you blaming yourself for everything that happened? No matter how you look at it, life is just unfair. Bad people do bad things, but they blame others and go on to live in peace. Good people, on the other hand, beat themselves up about the smallest things,' Jang Geum Ja said. She tells Seong Gi Hun, 'I still believe that you came here to save us all.' The Frontman then called for Seong Gi Hun. 'I'm trying to put an end to it,' he said before the trailer ended. A previous teaser revealed that there will be more deadly games in the third season. A poster also revealed two murderous dolls for the iconic Red Light, Green Light game. 'Squid Game' became a worldwide sensation since its premiere in 2021. Following the success of the first season, several cast members won top acting awards from renowned international organizations like the Golden Globes and SAG Awards. Right before the second season premiered, it got nominated for the Golden Globes in the Best Television Series – Drama category. 'Squid Game' Season 3, the third and final season, premieres on June 27 on Netflix. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
