New, spacious anganwadi facility set up at Doddinduvadi village
Mysuru: Anganwadi children of Doddinduvadi, who benefited from Montessori-based English medium education, have a new and spacious facility. Thanks to CSR funds, an NGO working to impart English medium education to rural children has created a new facility at their village, which is located in Chamarajanagar district.
The new anganwadi has addressed the challenge of accommodating all the children in the village, located about 75 km away from Mysuru. The earlier facility was too small to accommodate them all.
Chamarajanagar zilla panchayat chief executive officer Mona Roat, who inaugurated the new anganwadi centre in Doddinduvadi village on Thursday, encouraged parents to fully utilise this premium educational opportunity provided to their children at their doorsteps.
Amyga Foundation, with CSR support from Walvoil Fluid Power India Private Limited, constructed the facility. Lakshmi Ramamurthy, Amyga Foundation's managing trustee, told TOI that they have been working together with the department of women and child development since 2019, offering free Montessori-based English medium education.
She claimed that their foundation serves approximately 600 anganwadi children across India, with 250 children in Karnataka.

The foundation utilises Montessori materials and qualified teachers to deliver education at no cost. Two trained teachers have been deployed to conduct classes, and children's enrolment has increased ever since they started teaching in Oct 2024.
Lakshmi said two trained teachers have been providing about 40 children education in English.
Doddinduvadi PDO Mariswamy commended the efforts of the foundation for providing a new anganwadi facility, which has more than 40 children in the age group of 3-5 years. He said that it would benefit children. The earlier facility was inadequate to accommodate all students, he said. The structure was built at a cost of Rs 15 lakh by the foundation utilising CSR funds.

The highest score in this year's exam dropped to 686 from last year's 720. Keyur Cholera, coaching mentor, said cutoffs are going to dramatically drop in colleges. "Last year, Mumbai's colleges closed at 670; this year it is likely to come down to 570," he said. Cousins orphaned young, now NEET achievers
1 2 3 Lucknow: For the Singh family of Orai's Mushmaria village, the NEET 2025 results brought tears of joy as Vishal Singh and Satyam Singh, cousins raised together after losing their parents in a tragic accident, cleared the exam on the first attempt. Both of them studied at a prominent coaching centre where their discipline, determination and shared routine shaped their success. Special teams to prevent strays from disturbing human remains at crash site
Ahmedabad: In the aftermath of Thursday's devastating plane crash on the medical hostel building in Meghaninagar, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has intensified efforts to secure the crash site amid concerns that human remains may have scattered across the open area. While debris removal and search operations have continued for three days, AMC officials suspect that some remains could have been flung far from the main impact zone due to the force of the crash. In response, the civic body has deployed multiple teams to prevent stray dogs and birds from disturbing or carrying away human remains from the site and its vicinity. "After a video surfaced showing what appeared to be a part of a human head on the road, we grew concerned that remains might have landed beyond the crash perimeter," said an AMC official on condition of anonymity. "Stray dogs or birds like crows and vultures might reach these areas, so we are taking all necessary precautions." Two teams, each comprising more than 12 personnel — including bouncers, police constables, AMC workers, and labourers — have been assigned to patrol the site and nearby zones.
