However, this week, she seemingly logged into her TikTok account after over seven months to react to Natalia Bryant's graduation ceremony. She liked the graduate's TikTok video, showing a glimpse of her return to social media.
Bryant posted the video on May 19, celebrating her graduation from the University of Southern California. In the clip, the 22-year-old, wearing her white graduation dress and stole, was accompanied by her three friends. The girl gang wrapped their arms around each other, boasting big smiles about their achievement.
The four girls then began to lip-sync to Swift's song 'Nothing New,' mouthing the line, 'How can a person know everything at 18 but nothing at 22? And will you still want me when I'm nothing new?' Algorithm or otherwise, the clip reached Swift, who showered her wishes with a like. Meanwhile, eagle-eyed netizens were quick to spot the pop star's TikTok activity.
Swifties excitedly took to the comments section to note the singer's subtle reaction on TikTok. Many felt happy about Swift going active again. The last time she put up a TikTok video on her account was in October, when she walked around The Eras Tour concert venue in Miami holding possibly one of her cats.
Natalia Bryant's father, the late Kobe Bryant, has previously praised Taylor Swift and her music. During his 2019 appearance on 'The Jordan Harbinger Show,' he revealed listening to her music while complimenting her successful career. The singer also offered her condolences upon the NBA legend's passing via a tweet in 2020.

On Aug. 21, Rare Beauty and Tajín released their Cheek & Lip Set, a liquid blush and lip gloss inspired by the shades of Tajín Clásico Seasoning and Tajín Chamoy Sauce. The limited-edition set features a 0.25 fluid ounce bottle of Soft Pinch Liquid Blush in Chamoy, a deep red brown, and a 0.11 fluid ounce bottle of Positive Light Luminizing Lip Gloss in Clásico, a terracotta with copper and gold shimmers, the latter of which is a brand new product to Rare Beauty's line.
