The all-electric Cadillac Celestiq, the marque's first hand-built production car since the 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham.
The model is a four-door hatchback presenting a mid-century modern aesthetic.
The Celestiq has a low-slung fastback profile, but its wheelbase exceeds that of a Cadillac Escalade.
With 655 hp and 646 ft lbs of torque, the car is claimed to cover zero to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds on its way to a purported top speed of 130 mph.
The interior features a 3-D-printed steering-wheel casing, hand-polished aluminum controls, and options that include leather floors and eucalyptus-fiber mats.
A smart-glass roof features four quadrants for passengers to control opacity.
The car embodies America's 'very optimistic, very strident view of the world' in the 1950s, '60s and '70s, according to Michael Simcoe, Cadillac's vice president of global design.
The Celestiq is Cadillac's most technologically advanced production vehicle to date, which factors into the car's next-level pricing compared to others in the automaker's model line.
Cadillac hopes the Celestiq will capitalize on the brand's legacy while catapulting the automaker into the future.

How Much of Jeff Bezos' Net Worth Could He Actually Spend Today? A Guide to Liquid Assets

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is the No. 4 richest man in the world, according to Forbes, which estimates his net worth around $235.1 billion (a number that changes daily) — but most of that vast fortune isn't sitting in a savings account as cash. So, how much could Bezos actually spend today if he decided to make a mega-purchase that required him to leverage as much of his spendable assets as possible? Here's a breakdown of Bezos' purchasing power. Find Out: Read Next: Liquid vs. Illiquid Assets Billionaires and commoners alike are concerned with liquidity — the ability to convert assets to cash quickly without value loss. For a billionaire like Bezos, that might mean weighing the cost of purchasing a nine-figure mega-yacht versus the risk of having to sell it at a multimillion-dollar loss once the novelty wears off. For an ordinary earner, liquidity might mean weighing the benefit of making an extra mortgage payment to reduce long-term finance charges versus the risk of tying money up in equity that might be needed for emergency car repairs. Discover More: A Side-by-Side Comparison Liquid assets: Are easy to convert to cash quickly with minimal value loss or fluctuation Are ideal for emergencies and short-term use Include stocks, mutual funds, bonds, ETFs, savings or money market accounts and, of course, cash Non-liquid assets, on the other hand: Are challenging to convert to cash quickly without the risk of substantial value loss Are best as long-term investments Include real estate, businesses, collectibles and art A Look at the Assets Behind Bezos' Fortune The ultra-wealthy — particularly high-profile billionaires like Bezos — are known for guarding their finances through mechanisms like trusts and private family offices, so an exact accounting is not possible. However, credible reports that examine public records like SEC and business filings offer insight into how much of his $235.1 billion fortune Jeff Bezos could actually spend. Bezos has a sprawling portfolio of illiquid (unspendable) real estate holdings. Architectural Digest reports it at $500 million. According to the Robb Report, it's more like $700 million. Bezos also owns the Washington Post and the aerospace company Blue Origin. Both are privately owned and, therefore, their exact value is unknown. However, as business interests, they are considered illiquid. Forbes reports that Bezos, who stepped down as CEO of Amazon but serves as its executive chairman, owns 9% of the company. Bezos Is Highly Liquid…Sort Of Amazon has a market cap of $2.36 trillion, which makes Bezos's 9% share worth roughly $212.4 billion. That's 90.34% of his $235.1 billion net worth held in publicly traded stock, which can quickly and easily be converted to cash. That's much more than the average high-net-worth individual (HNWI) keeps liquid. According to the U.S. Trust Survey of Affluent Americans from Bank of America, HNWIs keep an average of just 15% of their portfolios in cash and cash equivalents. However, there's a caveat. Stock Shares Are Liquid — but Bezos Is No Ordinary Shareholder If an ordinary investor sells $100, $1,000 or $100,000 of a company's stock, no one notices. However, when the ultra-rich dump massive amounts of stock, it's enough to flood the market and upset the balance of supply and demand — and investor sentiment can fan the flames. When wealthy, influential and connected investors engage in stock dumping, it can create a panic among retail investors who presume the bigwigs know something they don't. This is especially true when the billionaire doing the dumping is selling off vast swaths of the company he founded. If Bezos tried to convert $212.4 billion worth of his own company's shares, the market reaction would likely be mass panic-selling that tanked the price of the very stock that makes up nine-tenths of Bezos' own wealth. Read the full review | See Interior Photos The Lucid Gravity Dream Edition is a worthy SUV counterpart to the Air Sapphire sedan, combining supercar speed with minivan interior packaging. While more reasonably priced trims will follow, the Dream Edition makes a properly mind-blowing debut for the model. The Gravity reminded more than one of us of the cult-favorite Mercedes-Benz R63 AMG—another quasi-minivan with serious speed. The Gravity has about the same interior dimensions as the Cadillac Escalade EQ, despite its much tidier exterior size. Believe it or not, there's a perfectly comfortable third row in there. The Gravity hits 150 mph a full three seconds quicker than the Corvette Z06. Surprisingly, the Gravity was a lot of fun on the skidpad, requiring countersteer to keep the tail in line. Keep going to see more photos of the Lucid Gravity Dream Edition. This Is the New Lexus Supercar Concept—And It Looks Spectacular

Well, we weren't expecting this. At The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering, during Monterey Car Week, Lexus took the wraps off a concept for its Sport Concept. This is a preview of what we've been calling the LFR , and it looks like a blend of LFA and LC500. Lexus hasn't released any details on the car yet, but we should (and hope to) be learning more very soon. We do know it's a front-engine rear-drive machine with a twin-turbo V-8, and likely a rear transaxle gearbox. There will be a Toyota version, too, though not for the US market, and the car will make the basis for Toyota's upcoming GT3 race car. 27 Source: Brian Silvestro / Motor1 There are all sorts of interesting details on the concept, like exhaust pipes that exist under the wing, and huge vents on the rear that look like those on the LFA. The big vents behind the windows look like they could be used for brake and/or transaxle cooling and there looks to be four small fans on the center high-mount stoplight. Obviously, there are some pure concept-car details that may not make it to production, but you can expect the road car to look a lot like this. Lexus obscured a lot too. The Sports Concept doesn't have an interior, and all but the Bridgestone logos were shaved off the tire sidewalls. But, it's obvious from the hood that this car will have its engine pushed well behind the front axle, giving credence to the idea that this has a rear transaxle. Toyota and Lexus benchmarked the old AMG GT R in developing this car, as it's one of the best front-engine sports and race cars of the recent past. It also used the front-mounted V-8, rear transaxle layout. We first saw this car as the Toyota GR GT3 concept back in 2022, and this is our first look at what a road-going Lexus version will look like. In a release, Lexus said "[t]he progressively styled, future-focused yet truly authentic sportscar signals the way forward for Lexus design. This inspiring concept car features a wide, low-profile two-door form that blends dynamic and emotional elements into a vision for a next-generation sports car."
