Content:
British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell was the ex-girlfriend-turned social companion of Jeffrey Epstein.
Maxwell was sentenced in 2022 to 20 years in federal prison for carrying out a years-long scheme with Epstein to groom and sexually abuse underage girls. She has attempted to appeal her conviction.
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche met with Maxwell yesterday and said he'll interview her again today.
The meeting comes after a judge declined to release grand jury documents from the criminal probe into Epstein and amid growing backlash against President Donald Trump and his administration for not releasing more information on the Epstein case.

Title: Trump's deputy attorney general says he will meet with Ghislaine Maxwell again today
Content:
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said he would continue his interview with Ghislaine Maxwell today after they met for hours in Florida yesterday.
'Productive day today with the Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche and Ghislaine Maxwell,' her lawyer David Markus said of the meeting. 'He took a full day and asked a lot of questions.'
The former Epstein associate answered every question posed to her during the meeting, according to her lawyer.
'She never invoked a privilege. She never declined to answer. She answered all the questions truthfully, honestly and to the best of her ability,' Markus said.
He wouldn't comment on the substance of the meeting 'for obvious reasons,' he added.
Blanche said the Justice Department 'will share additional information about what we learned at the appropriate time,' in a post on X.
Blanche's meeting came with the backdrop of fierce public backlash, including from members of President Donald Trump's base, over the administration's perceived lack of transparency surrounding documents related to Epstein's case.

Trump ‘seriously considering' pardon for Diddy ahead of sentencing
President Trump is reportedly considering granting a pardon to Sean 'Diddy' Combs after an official decision has been made on his latest $50 million bail petition. An administration source told Deadline the president is 'seriously' weighing a pardon for the hip-hop mogul ahead of his sentencing in October. Combs' legal team filed yet another bail package proposal on Tuesday, arguing that most people convicted under the federal Mann Act — an anti-sex trafficking law with a century-old history — are released from jail pending their sentencing. Sources told TMZ on Wednesday that Trump is 'more than open' to pardoning the disgraced music mogul, but only based on Judge Arun Subramanian's ruling on the bail petition. If Diddy is granted bail, Trump will reportedly wait to decide on a pardon until his sentencing, which is scheduled for Oct. 3. However, if the judge denies bail, a decision will be made immediately. The Bad Boy Records founder was acquitted earlier this month of the sex trafficking and racketeering charges against him but convicted on prostitution-related offenses, including two counts of violating the Mann Act, which is primarily used for prosecuting interstate prostitution crimes. Sources say that Combs' case resonates with Trump because he believes the rapper, much like himself, has been unfairly targeted by the feds. Combs and Trump have a history of running in the same circles in New York City before the president's political pursuits. In a 2012 episode of 'The Apprentice,' Trump described Combs as a 'good friend.' The president first teased the possibility of pardoning Combs in May, saying he hadn't officially been asked by anyone on Diddy's legal team, though he knows 'people are thinking about it.' 'I would certainly look at the facts if I think somebody was mistreated, whether they like me or don't like me,' Trump said at the time, acknowledging that his fellow New York native 'used to really like me a lot' prior to him entering politics. 'I haven't spoken to him in years,' Trump said. 'I think when I ran for politics that relationship sort of busted up. He didn't tell me that, but I read some little bit nasty stuff in the paper.' Combs is facing a maximum of 20 years in prison. _____

Trump says US and Pakistan have concluded a trade deal
By Kanishka Singh WASHINGTON (Reuters) -U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday his administration struck a deal with Pakistan in which Washington will work with Islamabad in developing the South Asian nation's oil reserves. "We have just concluded a Deal with the Country of Pakistan, whereby Pakistan and the United States will work together on developing their massive Oil Reserves," Trump wrote on social media. "We are in the process of choosing the Oil Company that will lead this Partnership." Trump's social media post did not provide further details on the deal between the U.S. and Pakistan. The Pakistani embassy in Washington had no immediate comment. Last week, Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said the United States and Pakistan were "very close" to a trade deal that could come within days, after he met with Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Friday. Under Trump, Washington has attempted to renegotiate trade agreements with many countries that he threatened with tariffs over what he calls unfair trade relations. Many economists dispute Trump's characterization. The U.S. State Department and Pakistan's foreign ministry, in separate statements after Rubio's meeting with Dar, said last week the two top diplomats stressed in their discussion the importance of expanding trade and ties in critical minerals and mining. "Our teams have been here in Washington discussing, having virtual meetings and a committee has been tasked by the prime minister to fine tune now," Dar said last week about U.S.-Pakistan talks. Jerome Powell, King Of Understatement, Says Trump's Visit Was 'Nice'
Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell on Wednesday characterized President Donald Trump's visit to see renovations of the central bank as 'nice' as he downplayed any conflict between the pair. In extraordinary scenes last Thursday, Powell and Trump publicly clashed over the falsely inflated cost of the building's ongoing upgrade, with the Fed chief having to correct Trump's bogus figures live on-air. At a press conference Wednesday as the Fed's twelve-member Federal Open Market Committee left interest rates unchanged, Powell was asked whether Trump's questioning of the cost of the building's long-planned overhaul was tied to the president's aggressive push to get the cost of borrowing cut. But Powell rose above the soap opera dynamics, telling a reporter it was 'not for me' to comment on any link between the Fed's renovation costs and the president's campaign to bring down rates. 'We had a nice visit with the president,' Powell added. 'It was an honor to host him. It's not something that happens very often at the Federal Reserve, to have the president come over, let alone to visit a building. But it was a good visit.' Earlier Wednesday, Trump renewed his attacks on Powell hours before the bank's interest rate decision. ''Too Late' MUST NOW LOWER THE RATE. No Inflation! Let people buy, and refinance, their homes!' Trump wrote on his social media platform Wednesday, deploying his often-used nickname for Powell, who he has also called a 'numbskull.' In a remarkable moment last week, Trump was called out for using erroneous figures for the cost of the renovation. The cost 'is about $3.1 billion,' Trump told the cameras, 'it went up a little bit — or a lot.' Powell, perplexed, shook his head to signal his disagreement. 'So the $2.7 is now $3.1,' Trump continued. Powell then stopped the president: 'I'm not aware of that.' 'Yeah, yeah, it just came out,' replied Trump, reaching for a piece of paper from his jacket pocket. Powell took the paper and put his glasses on, studying the document. 'Oh, you're including the Martin renovation? You just added in a third building,' Powell said. 'That's a third building.'' 'Well, I know, but it's a building that's being built,' Trump said. 'No. It was built five years ago,' Powell corrected him. 'We finished Martin five years ago. It's not new.' The president has suggested that the Fed renovation plan might be sufficient cause to fire Powell, who was nominated for the role by Trump himself in 2017. Watch the moment at the Fed in the video at the top of this story, and Powell's comments at the press briefing below. Related...
