Actor Nicknamed 'Cuban Brad Pitt' Arrested in Florida
According to reports, Levy, 44, was arrested in Weston, Florida Monday by the Broward Sheriff's Office. Levy was booked into Broward County Jail and charged disorderly intoxication in a public place, causing a disturbance and trespassing.
As of Tuesday afternoon, Levy reportedly remained behind bars after appearing in court. Other details of his arrest have not been released at this time.
A native of Cojimar, Cuba, Levy emigrated to Miami when he was 14 years old. After getting started as a model, he broke into acting in 2006.
Known for his roles in telenovelas, Levy was a contestant on season 14 of Dancing With the Stars back in 2012. He was partnered with dancer Cheryl Burke and finished third behind singer Katherine Jenkins and partner Mark Ballas and the winning tandem of NFL wide receiver Donald Driver and partner Peta Murgatroyd.
Levy went on to appear in the movies "Girls Trip," "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter," and Tyler Perry's 'Addicted.'
Last year, Levy and his on-and-off girlfriend, actress Elizabeth Gutierrez, with whom he has two children, were involved in a viral incident outside of their former home.
Gutierrez told responding officers that Kailey, the couple's daughter, entered the home to retrieve an item and encountered an unknown woman who attempted to 'hide.' The teenager also accused her father of pushing her.
However, a police search of the house uncovered only Levy and a cleaning woman, and cops said there was no evidence to indicate a physical confrontation.
'It's my house, I was alone. Kailey knocks on the door, I don't know what's happening. I don't push her, I put my hand there [to prevent it from opening] ... You can't come in here, this is my room, my privacy," Levy said in a statement at the time.

On Saturday, Jerry Jones was mum on Micah Parsons (which might say plenty)
Last Saturday, Cowboys owner and G.M. Jerry Jones said plenty about linebacker Micah Parsons. This Saturday, Jones said nothing. Asked about the status of the conversations with Parsons by Kristi Scales of 105.3 The Fan before the preseason opener against the Rams, Jones offered up s word shrimp salad. "I'm glad to see he's working out, in shape, and feels great, and so all of that's good, and, I don't have anything to comment on," Jones said. Given the extent to which Jones has been talking (and talking . . . and talking) about Parsons, the silence speaks volumes. Especially with the Hollywood premiere of the Netflix All-About-Jerry docuseries happening on Monday. This week will be about promoting The Jerry Show, which debuts on August 19. What better way to start the push for the latest NFL-Netflix partnership than to dominate the sports news with the signing of Parsons to his overdue long-term deal? Hey, if the series does well enough, maybe the NFL will end up owning 10 percent of Netflix, too.
