Yet Steve Perry left fans doing a double take as he took a stroll in a baggy black logo top and shorts, paired with dark trainers.
The Journey hitmaker was seen running errands with a paper bag tucked under his left arm.
The California-born singer, who had two stints in the band known for hits Open Arms and Separate Ways, pulled on a pair of sunglasses as he made his way down the street.
He appeared to be eager to go incognito, gazing down at the ground with a calm expression on his face.
Steve quit Journey for the second time back in 1998, due to personal reasons.
At the time, he old SiriusXM station Trunk Nation: "The reason I left is because I was just truly burned out.
"My love for music was getting really, really questionable within my heart, and I kind of had to stop.
"There was no easy way to stop, leaving the mothership that I had so loved and worked so hard with the guys to build.
"It was tough. I didn't tell nobody — I just kept working, and then all of a sudden, it just kind of hit the wall, and I said, 'I can't do this anymore."
He also spoke out in 2017 when the band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame and simply said: "I am truly grateful that Journey is being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame."
Seventies rock legends forced to cancel concert during hit song - months after ditching UK tour last minute
The band currently consists of singer Arnel Pineda, guitarist Neal Schon, drummer Deen Castronovo, keyboardist and guitarist Jonathan Cain, bassist Todd Jensen and Jason Derlatka.
TRICKY JOURNEY
Steve's former band faced a sticky situation in March after they were forced to cancel a gig while performing one of their greatest hits.
Journey were performing at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo when an 'electrical incident' occurred.
The band were performing one of their biggest hits - Don't Stop Believin' - as the fifth song in their set.
But suddenly, power on the stage went off, and initially the crowd continued to sing the lyrics of the 1981 smash hit.
However, crew then took to the stage with fire extinguishers and soon after, a statement was released to the fans to reveal the rest of the concert had unfortunately been cancelled.
The cancellation came months after Journey cancelled their 2024 UK tour at the last minute.
But back in August, with members embroiled in a legal battle, the band gave no explanation as they put the decision down to "circumstances beyond their control".
"Due to circumstances beyond the band's control, Journey's UK and Ireland tour is unfortunately cancelled.
"Refunds will be made from your point of purchase."
The 50th anniversary tour, which had already travelled across the U.S., was set to begin in Cardiff in October and travel to cities including Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham and London.

Some have made threats, but some have seemingly already logged complaints FURIOUS VIEWERS Love Island fans threaten to call Ofcom over results of brutal twist leave early favourite at risk LOVE Island fans have threatened to call Ofcom over the results of a brutal twist that has left an early favourite at risk. Maya Jama was at the helm of the ITV2 reality-dating show once again, and at the end of the show she left the villa in a state of shock. 6 Maya Jama headed up the series once again Credit: Eroteme 6 Toni entered the Love Island villa as the first ever American bombshell Credit: Eroteme 6 She stole Ben from Shakira Credit: Eroteme 6 Shakira was left single and vulnerable Credit: Eroteme 6 But fans reckon Alima could be vulnerable too Credit: Eroteme Maya delivered a huge bombshell when she entered the villa for a second time in episode one. Her bombshell was that a bombshell was arriving. American beauty Toni - who is the first ever bombshell from the United States - then arrived. The couples are stunned as Toni says: "Good Evening UK! Surprise!" They quickly worked out she is American and on being the first American bombshell Toni says: "Lucky girl, aren't I?" Maya then explained that Toni was to immediately steal a boy. Toni then stole Ben, meaning Shakira was left single and vulnerable. But despite Shakira being the vulnerable one, fans were quick to say that they thought Alima was the most at risk. Alima is paired with Blu and fans think he will make a move for single Shakira. "You see that Blu, he is already calculating how to get with Shakira. Oh Lorddd! My Alima might be at risk," said one. Love Island star offends viewers within seconds as she makes shock comment about 9-5 jobs Others then quickly shared how if Alima does get dumped this week, they will be making complaints to the regulator. One person took to X to say: "If Alima gets sent home OfCom be ready." Another echoed: "If Alima gets dumped, Ofcom will be hearing from me." While a third agreed: "If Alima gets dumped because of the American I'm reporting the show to ofcom." A fourth then penned: "I don't know what to report but I want to report to ofcom." "Can you complain to Ofcom over #loveisland casting men that are exclusively awful?" asked a fifth. While someone else stated that they had already complained to Ofcom about the episode. In this year's series so far, there are six boys and seven girls - including one bombshell. Ben, Dejon, Harry, Conor, Blu and Tommy make up the OG guys. While Shakira, Meg, Alima, Sophie, Megan and Helena make up the OG girls. And Toni is the first bombshell of the series.

Bookies have already tipped two hopefuls to win this year's Love Island
Love Island 2025 kicks off tonight, with Megan Forte Clarke and Dejon Noel Williams already tipped to win - but a bombshell arrival has already thrown a spanner in the works Love Island 2025 is set to kick off tonight, and anticipation for this year's villa hopefuls is already at fever pitch, with Megan Forte Clarke and Dejon Noel Williams tipped as early favourites to secure the much-coveted top spots. The latest odds from betting gurus at OLBG suggest that Megan and Dejon are leading the pack as favourites for Top Female and Top Male of the season. But with unexpected arrivals and last-minute line-up alterations, the villa is already brimming with surprises. Megan Forte Clarke currently leads the board at 7/2, boasting a 22.2% chance of emerging as this year's queen bee. However, her reign could be brief. A significant twist has already hit before the first coupling, with 24 year old American Toni Laites unveiled as the season's first bombshell. Her entrance could potentially shake up the market, reports the Express. Love Island 2025: Top Female Odds Dejon Noel Williams and Harry Cooksley are now neck and neck for the top male spot, both standing at 4/1 odds. Meanwhile, rugby player Conor Phillips has unexpectedly joined the competition following a dramatic reshuffle. Love Island 2025: Top Male Odds Just hours ahead of the season's launch, ITV confirmed that original contestant Kyle Ashman had been dropped after revelations surfaced about his previous arrest on suspicion of a machete attack. He has now been replaced by Phillips, whose late entry could upset the balance. Jake Ashton, Entertainment Betting Editor at OLBG, remarked: "Every year we see bombshells disrupt the odds, and Toni could do just that. Once she's in the villa and viewers see her impact, expect her price to shorten quickly." The Love Island villa is gearing up for excitement with bombshells already making waves - the betting odds are alive and kicking off.
