All the signs Taylor Swift takes 'charge' in Travis Kelce relationship according to body language expert
Body language expert, Judi James, weighed in on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's relationship dynamics following their now-viral PDA session in a Nashville bar.
Upon examining footage of the couple sweetly slow dancing to the 35-year-old pop star's 2014 hit Shake It Off, James shared her keen observations on how they behave around one another in a crowded space.
'We have Travis serenading Taylor here, singing straight into her face as they dance like no one is watching in the middle of a busy dancefloor, suggesting the kind of exclusivity ritual you can get when a couple focus so intently on each other that they really do become oblivious to the rest of the world around them,' she begins.
James points out that Swift 'responds with a very exaggerated display of approval' as she places her hand on his head and strokes him like 'an adorable dog' more than once.
'Their togetherness signals do seem to be becoming less inhibited (for Travis, Taylor was always looking like a smitten teen) but it is still Taylor doing the heavy lifting in terms of showing their love and their romantic narrative off to the world,' she notes.
James continues: 'She's the one throwing her head back in a gesture of loving surrender on the red carpet, baring her neck to signal trust and offering her mouth up to Travis for a kiss, while he seems to convert the offer into a less passionate cheek kiss.'
'When they walk together it's his huge paw containing her hand in a protective clasp but it's Taylor doing all the face-watching as though unable to keep her eyes off her man,' the expert added. 'And the dance floor kiss involves Taylor holding Travis's face in place to ensure his undivided attention and to make sure that she gets the mouth kiss she wants.'
James concluded: 'It's probably good that Taylor is in charge of the romantic choreography while Travis looks a little more diffident but happy to be led, but it does hint that she's the more focused and certain one in the relationship.'
In late 2023, Swift revealed their love story began long before she attended her first Kansas City Chiefs game.
'This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,' she told TIME magazine.
'We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I'm grateful for, because we got to get to know each other. By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.'
Kelce, now infamously, first tried to capture Swift's attention when he attended her Eras Tour show at Arrowhead stadium by making her a friendship bracelet with his number on it.
He failed to meet Swift behind the scenes of her sold-out tour but his 'metal' podcast antics eventually caught her attention with the songstress revealing they began dating immediately.
'When you say a relationship is public, that means I'm going to see him do what he loves, we're showing up for each other, other people are there and we don't care,' she added.
'The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you're seeing someone. And we're just proud of each other.'
In January, experts at GroomsDay.com predicted the pair as the most likely Hollywood couple to get engaged.
In April, it was reported that Travis believed his newfound fame from dating Taylor caused a dip in his NFL form last season.
Kelce had one of the most underwhelming seasons of his career in 2024 from a statistical standpoint, putting up some of his worst numbers ever before going largely anonymous in the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Following his team's devastating loss, a source told Us Weekly: 'He wants to have a good season and not have the focus be on his relationship with Taylor.'
As Kelce preps for the upcoming NFL season in Florida, Swift has remained dutifully by his side.
While speaking to a patient at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital in Florida, the singer confirmed she was in the Sunshine State because her 'boyfriend is training here.'

She's just like us! Naomi Watts suffers awkward wardrobe malfunction as she steps out in New York City
Naomi Watts ensured all eyes were on her on Thursday when she stepped out in New York City. The Brides of Christ star, 56, cut a casual figure in a white dress adorned with strawberries that featured a corseted bodice and spaghetti straps. But all eyes were on the blonde beauty's choice of footwear; a pair of slippery red slingbacks that failed to do their job. As Naomi strutted into her event, one of her ankles slipped out of the hazardous footwear, throwing her picture-perfect look a curveball. Ever the professional, Naomi took the fashion blunder in her stride, proving she really is just like us. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. She added to her look on the day with retro-framed sunglasses and a fire-engine red handbag. Naomi's outing comes after she attended an Armani Beauty event with her daughter, Kai Schreiber. The King Kong actress and her model daughter, 16, who she shares with actor Liev Schreiber, were among the stars at Twenty Three Grand in New York City earlier this month. Naomi looked effortlessly chic as she donned a navy sparkly smock dress, featuring a boat neckline and draping fabric with stilettos. She was joined by her daughter Kai, who had her modelling debut at Paris Fashion Week for Valentino earlier this year. For the occasion, Kai wore a black high-neck sweater covered in multicoloured polka dots with a matching skirt. Naomi was seen helping her daughter with her make-up in sweet snaps from the event. Kai, who is transgender, recently spoke in-depth about how she had struggled 'with gender identity from a young age' and 'always wanted to grow up and be a beautiful, glamorous, influential woman, like Marilyn ' Monroe. She told Interview Magazine she has studied how people in the transgender community navigated stormy waters in the past. The daughter of the Ray Donovan star, 57, and two-time Oscar nominee, 56, named figures she found inspirational 'as a young trans girl' navigating life through turbulent times for the community. 'I'm always going to look up to the older generation of transgender people, especially in fashion,' Kai told the magazine. 'People like Alex Consani, Hunter Schafer, Hari Nef, Dara, Richie Shazam, Colin Jones, and so many more,' Kai said. 'It's so great that there's a strong community of us in the fashion world; it's really a doll takeover.' The nepo baby said that she had a breakthrough earlier this year when working for the fashion house Valentino. 'That job made me realise, 'OK, this is what I want to do,' Kai said. ' I want to be a supermodel. Period.'

Brooklyn Beckham makes sweet family gesture sparking hopes of an end to bitter feud
BROOKLYN Beckham tonight paid a sweet tribute to a family member sparking hopes that the bitter feud could soon end. The 26-year-old reportedly cut off all contact with his parents and siblings amid an ongoing fallout. 4 4 But his love for his nan Sandra, 76, hasn't diminished and he has wished her a heartfelt happy birthday. Alongside a picture of him and his grandma posted on Instagram, he wrote: "Happy birthday nanny xx love you so much." Though it is his first public acknowledgement of his family in many months, there are still seemingly many hurdles to overcome. Last month Brooklyn completely snubbed dad David's 50th birthday celebrations, failing to attend his parties or pay tribute to him on social media. Nor did he congratulate his dad after news emerged of his knighthood. Yet yesterday Brooklyn wished his father-in-law Nelson a happy birthday with a very public display of support for the 83-year-old billionaire businessman. On Monday, there was a snub the other way when Victoria and David Beckham didn't acknowledge an anniversary post Brooklyn made in which he paid tribute to his actress wife, who is said to have a frosty relationship with her mother-in-law. The couple were cheered on by Brooklyn's Godfather, Elton John, who called them "the sweetest, most loving couple". It's not known whether or not Elton's supportive comment have affected his friendship with David and Victoria. According to The Mail, Brooklyn's family - which include Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13 - refer to the aspiring chef as 'The Hostage'. It has been reported he now spends most of his evenings alone with his wife, watching TV by the fire and running her baths. Brooklyn, who lives in LA, appeared to previously take a swipe at his family on Instagram when he posted a video with Nicola amid claims she was at the heart of the falling out. He emphasised his 'choice' to stick by her, writing: "My whole world x I will love you forever x I always choose you baby x you're the most amazing person i know xx me and you forever baby." 4 4
