Galaxy Macau's Reveals a Galaxy of Stars As the Integrated Resort's Restaurants are Awarded Five Michelin Stars in the 17th Michelin Guide Hong Kong Macau 2025
MACAU SAR - Media OutReach Newswire - 13 March 2025 - In the 17th Michelin Guide Hong Kong Macau 2025, Galaxy Macau™, the world-class luxury integrated resort, has once again proven its place at the forefront of the Greater Bay Area dining scene. An impressive four of its restaurants have collectively earned five Michelin stars, with Sushi Kissho by Miyakawa, which opened just last year, making a standout debut by winning one star. Celebrating a constellation of award wins, Feng Wei Ju at StarWorld Hotel, 8½ Otto e Mezzo BOMBANA at Galaxy Macau, and Lai Heen at The Ritz-Carlton, Macau have continued their year-on-year reign, maintaining their Michelin-starred status through a steadfast commitment to exquisite ingredients, artful presentation, and impeccable service. Adding to these stellar accolades, three other Galaxy Macau restaurants have been recognized as "Michelin Selected Restaurants." These achievements underscore Galaxy Macau's dedication to culinary excellence, further underscoring Macau's reputation as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.
Founded by the celebrated Michelin three-star sushi master, Chef Masaaki Miyakawa, Sushi Kissho by Miyakawa is his first venture outside Japan, dedicated to delivering the art of authentic Edomae sushi. Within its first year, the restaurant earned a Michelin star, a well-deserved recognition of its excellence. The skilled culinary team, with their refined expertise, elevates seasonal ingredients to their peak, crafting each piece of sushi to embody the traditional Japanese aesthetic of *wabi-sabi*—the beauty of simplicity and imperfection. Chef Miyakawa's unwavering commitment to quality is evident in his meticulous selection of premium, seasonal ingredients, flown in directly from Japan, ensuring every bite showcases his tightly-held relationships with generational growers and family fishermen. The menu at Sushi Kissho by Miyakawa evolves with the seasons to offer a unique dining experience with every visit. From April 4th to 6th, Chef Miyakawa will personally take the helm at the restaurant, crafting a special seasonal Edomae sushi dinner over three exclusive evenings. This highly anticipated event is an opportunity for guests to experience the master's artistry firsthand, for a series of dinners targeting the sushi aficionado.
Perched at StarWorld Hotel on the Macau Peninsula, Feng Wei Ju has earned its place as a culinary institution, boasting an impressive nine consecutive years of two-Michelin-starred recognition. To celebrate this incredible milestone, the restaurant is offering a special Michelin-inspired tasting menu (MOP 1,088 per person), featuring its most iconic dishes that showcase the authentic, bold flavors of Hunan and Sichuan cuisine. With nearly three decades of experience honing his craft in storied culinary traditions, Chef Chan Chek Keong has assembled a team of top-tier chefs specializing in authentic Hunan, Sichuan, and noodle dishes. Their philosophy is simple yet profound: allowing the ingredients to speak for themselves. Premium produce and spices, sourced directly from their regions of origin bring out the natural umami of high-quality ingredients, achieving a depth of flavor that is both bold and nuanced. Chef Chan's deft hand blends tradition with innovation, creating a culinary repertoire that is as dynamic as it is delicious. The result is a symphony of spicy, aromatic notes that dance on the palate, leaving diners surprised and delighted.
For a standout ten consecutive years, 8½ Otto e Mezzo BOMBANA at Galaxy Macau has held its Michelin one-star honor. This year, the restaurant enters a new chapter with the arrival of Executive Chef Marino D'Antonio, a culinary virtuoso whose career spans some of the most esteemed Michelin-starred restaurants and five-star hotels across the globe. Chef Marino brings with him a wealth of experience and a passion for Italian gastronomy, infusing the restaurant's menu with fresh creativity and inspiration. Among the highlights are signature dishes such as Veal and Ham Agnolotti in Classic Broth, and Marinated Langoustine with Sea Urchin, Oscietra caviar, and Orange Chantilly. The new menu also draws inspiration from its sister restaurant, 8½ Otto e Mezzo BOMBANA in Hong Kong. Building on the culinary legacy of the legendary Chef Bombana, whose pursuit of "tradition, quality, and consistency" has defined the restaurant's ethos, Marino infuses his creative flair, resulting in dishes that are deeply rooted in Italian tradition yet uniquely his own. Additionally, the restaurant now offers a brand-new lunch menu (starting at MOP 680) every Friday and Saturday. Featuring refined Italian classics crafted with fresh, seasonal ingredients, the menu delivers a Michelin-starred experience that is both elegant and luxurious, yet effortlessly understated.
Nestled on the 51st floor of The Ritz-Carlton, Macau, Lai Heen, the hotel's acclaimed Chinese restaurant, has been awarded the prestigious "Michelin One Star" for nine consecutive years. Helmed by Chinese Executive Chef Jackie Ho Hon Sing, who brings over 40 years of culinary expertise, the restaurant offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the city and the Taipa skyline. Combining authentic Cantonese delicacies with the legendary service of The Ritz-Carlton, Jackie Ho Hon Sing delivers an unparalleled dining experience. The restaurant's star-studded culinary team has crafted a special Michelin-inspired menu, showcasing the essence of Cantonese cuisine through masterful techniques and premium ingredients sourced from around the world. Each dish is a testament to the artistry and precision of the Cantonese culinary traditions, offering guests a taste of Michelin-starred excellence.
Recognised as "Michelin Selected Restaurants", Saffron at Banyan Tree Macau, known for its contemporary Thai flavors; Terrazza Italian Restaurant at Galaxy Macau, offering authentic taste of Italy; and The Ritz-Carlton Café at The Ritz-Carlton, Macau, continue to be lauded for maintaining their high standards.
These award-winning restaurants span Japanese, Italian, Cantonese, Hunan-Sichuan, Thai, and Western cuisines, offering a diverse culinary experience that caters to every palate. With over 120 dining offerings, Galaxy Macau is a veritable playground for the senses. From Michelin-starred experiences to local delicacies, each dish is a testament to the inimitable creativity, skill, and dedication of the culinary teams. It is a place where tradition meets innovation, and where every meal is a celebration of flavor, craftsmanship, and the art of hospitality. With this year's multi-Michelin Starred recognition, Galaxy Macau continues to solidify its position as a leading Dining Destination, where the world's finest tastes converge under one roof.

Restaurant review: The Bombay Club
We stepped into The Bombay Club at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab with clear expectations, and left with something more. The space is warm and intimate, with an open kitchen and a tandoori oven that's part of the art of Indian cooking itself. Led by Chef Manav Tuli, the menu honours Bombay's culinary roots with dishes that feel familiar but offer a contemporary take on the classics. Great Indian food is rich, spiced, layered, vibrant, fragrant, smoky, and hearty, and The Bombay Club knows how to bring it all together. The spot Image: Supplied You'll find The Bombay Club on the ground floor of Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab. It's dimly lit, wood-heavy and high on retro. The kind of place that feels like a hidden Bombay retreat, with vintage charm and art details throughout. There's a show kitchen in one corner, with a tandoori oven that adds warmth and a homey feel. It's lively, but still feels intimate, just as suited to a laid-back dinner with friends as it is to a quiet date night. The vibe There's a quiet confidence here. It's not trying to be trendy, which makes it even more special. It feels like someone's retro-style home with a refined touch of chic interiors, giving off an elegant yet comfortable vibe. The food Image: Supplied The Bombay Club's menu is a mix of Bombay street food favourites, but it also dives deeper into regional specialties from Goa, Hyderabad, and other parts of India. The dishes showcase India's diverse flavours, with rich spices and authentic recipes that are perfect for sharing. The service Images: Supplied The team knows their stuff. Expect smart recommendations. They'll also share facts about the food's origin or spice mix if you ask. There's a sense of storytelling behind the menu in a way that connects you to where the food comes from. What to order Images: Supplied Chef Manav Tuli, known for his work at Hong Kong's Michelin-starred Chaat, brings a focused, heritage-led approach to Indian cooking. The menu explores the flavours of Bombay through the lens of India's royal kitchens; rich and perfect to share. Starters include the chutney set (sweet lime, tomato, mint, beetroot, chili), the signature guinea fowl samosa, keema pav with soft milk buns, and tiger prawns in a punchy Goan balchao. From the tandoor, there's chicken sooley, wagyu beef cheek, Konkani lamb chop, and a standout chestnut paneer tikka. Mains include a perfectly creamy smoked butter chicken, while the Hyderabadi dal and naan basket round things out. The Masala Chai is the ideal finish; sweet, soothing, and just perfect after a hearty meal. What's on the bill Prices lean towards the premium side. Starters sit around Dhs80–Dhs120, tandoor mains range from Dhs98–Dhs218. It's a special spot that works just as well for a date night as it does for a dinner with friends or when you want to take someone visiting the city somewhere special. The final say A solid new addition to Dubai's Indian dining scene – comforting, vibrant, and rich, all in a stunning setting, and it's here to stay. What's On verdict Everything at The Bombay Club works in sync, the food, the space, the service, the atmosphere. It's a must-visit for anyone who loves Indian food. You'll come away with a deeper appreciation for it. Location: Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab, Ground Floor, Umm Suqeim 3, Dubai Times: Daily from 6.30pm to 11.30pm Contact: (800) 323 232, @

Dubai: For modern Indian cuisine, head to Punjab Grill
Good Indian food is not hard to come by in Dubai — from two Michelin-starred gastronomic journeys to traditional, low-key curry spots, both are available aplenty. Punjab Grill, however, sits comfortably between these two disparate concepts. Located within Anantara Downtown, the restaurant immediately made us feel welcome and at home while still offering an elevated environment — reminiscent of some of my favourite London curry houses, where my family would go for special occasions or when my dad wanted to treat me and my siblings if my mum was out of town. The delightful waiter recommended we opt for their tasting menu, which features a series of dishes celebrating the colourful cuisines of India's vast and varied regions, each interpreted through Punjab Grill's modern lens. We began our seven-course gastronomic journey with a light amuse bouche, consisting of a cheese kulcha with chili, walnut, and dates. The meal quickly progressed to appetisers, including a decadent stuffed aloo, chili and peanut thecha and meaty dakshin shrimps served with fried idli and curry leaf podi. After this flavourful start, we moved on to the larger dishes, with highlights including lemongrass and chili tikka kebabs, raunakeen lamb seekhan, and jimikand ka seekh — each dish brighter in spices, citrus, and overall character than the last. Following this parade of meaty dishes, we enjoyed saucier curries. The paneer roulade, served on a bed of creamy butter sauce, was my favourite dish of the evening (though it wasn't an easy choice to make). This was paired with makhani saag, parsi salli chicken, roomali roti, and brun pav. By this point, we were understandably full, but there's always room for dessert. We were presented with an array of Indian sweet treats, including kulfi, saffron falooda, and a rose and khus granita. This dining experience was hard to fault, with an array of decadent yet fresh flavours and bright interpretations of classic regional dishes. Hero dish: The paneer roulade was a fun take on one of my absolute favourites — 9/10 Senses: While feeling truly at ease, it still felt like a magical, flavoursome culinary journey — 8/10 Menu curation: Make sure you go hungry to enjoy the tasting menu! — 8/10 Service: The service was great, truly welcoming — 8/10 The details: 050 194 1107 KT Luxe
