The Arizona Cardinals held their second practice of mandatory minicamp on Tuesday. It was the second-to-last practice they had in their offseason program before they break for the summer until training camp.
Linebacker BJ Ojulari wasn't on the field and rookie cornerback Will Johnson was dressed but did not participate in practice, in line with what head coach Jonathan Gannon said would happen before the start of minicamp. Reporters in attendance shared some photos and videos from practices, as did the team, showing parts that reporters could not share.
So below, enjoy some of the images and highlights from the second day of mandatory minicamp.

Game Preview 6/6/25: Dodgers Vs Cardinals

The St. Louis Cardinals enter tonight's game 34-28 and 5 games back of the Chicago Cubs who will finally have to face a real opponent for the first time in 3 weeks. Credit to them for taking care of business but they get Skubal tonight. Of course this would be looked at more positively if the Cardinals weren't facing arguably the top team in baseball in the Los Angeles Dodgers. L.A. enters tonight's game at 38-25 and pacing a tough NL West. The Cardinals coming off back-to-back series losses to the Rangers and Royals will turn to Sonny Gray to set the tone for the remainder of the homestand. With rain in the forecast there will be a good chance for a delay later in the evening. The Dodgers will send young lefty Justin Wrobleski to the mound to start who is 1-1 with an ERA of 8.00 and will likely be an opener to face off against Donovan and Nootbaar. We saw the Tigers try this same tactic against the Cardinals recently and the two lefties at the top were able to neutralize the opener once but failed the 2nd time. Advertisement How to watch: FanDuel Sports Midwest, Matrix Midwest/KMOV-4 How to listen: 1120 AM KMOX/104.1 FM First pitch: 7:15 PM Matchup: STL: Sonny Gray (6-1 3.65 ERA 3.94 xERA 3.27 FIP 3.05 xFIP) Vs LAD: Justin Wrobleski (1-1 8.00 ERA 5.07 xERA 5.19 FIP 3.74 xFIP) Player to watch: STL: Willson Contreras - Willson has started to heat back up again! In his last 7 games he's 8-27 slashing .296/.367/.444 with 7 RBI. Look for Willson to get an early RBI opportunity in this game and to put together several tough at bats tonight. LAD: Shohei Ohtani - I mean, what do I really have to say? 23 HR and 39 RBI he's hitting .295 and carries a 1.037 OPS for the season! We're witnessing one of the greatest players of all time and it's scary as hell to watch him as the opposition but as a baseball fan is an enormous privilege. Look for the unicorn to do something incredible as he seems to on a nightly basis. Advertisement More from

Misiorowski dominates before departing MLB debut with leg cramps as Brewers blank Cardinals 6-0

MILWAUKEE — Jacob Misiorowski pitched five no-hit innings before leaving his major league debut with cramping in his right calf and quadriceps as the Milwaukee Brewers defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 6-0 on Thursday night. Misiorowski (1-0) slipped on the front part of the mound after throwing his third pitch of the sixth. After medical staff went to check on him, he was removed in favor of Nick Mears.

Arizona Cardinals offseason report card featuring Cards Wire

Arizona Cardinals offseason report card featuring Cards Wire Cards Wire's Jess Root talks about all the Cardinals' offseason moves and what they can do in 2025. The Arizona Cardinals have completed their offseason program for 2025, wrapping up mandatory minicamp. It concludes an offseason of major moves on defense in free agency and the draft. I was a guest on Proline TV's Arizona Cardinals offseason report card to discuss offseason moves, draft picks and insights for what the depth chart will look like during the season. Host Greg DePalma and I ran down the Cardinals' moves in free agency, where the new additions fit, who will have the biggest impact. The biggest impact will come on defense as the offense remains largely the same. We run down the Cardinals' draft picks and where they will figure in as rookies in 2025. I talk about how linebacker Cody Simon and cornerback Will Johnson are the two rookies likely to have the biggest roles. I wonder how the deep defensive line room will shake out and am bullish about both sides of the ball, giving my season expectations for the team. Watch the full episode below.
