As Tyrese Haliburton's Finals dream came crashing down with a torn Achilles, Jade Jones stepped up with words that cut through the silence. Her tribute wasn't just about love—it was layered with fire, memories, and subtle defiance.
From buzzer-beaters to being voted 'most overrated,' Jones recalled it all in one heartfelt post that reminded everyone who Haliburton really is.
Jade Jones shared something deeper than love after watching Haliburton go down
Tyrese Haliburton, the 25-year-old point guard for the Indiana Pacers, was averaging a solid 17.7 points and 9.0 assists per game in the Finals when disaster hit. Just over four minutes into Game 7 against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Haliburton collapsed in pain—sustaining a torn right Achilles that not only ended his season but also threatens to keep him out for the entire 2025-26 season.
The Pacers ultimately lost 103-91, with Oklahoma City winning their first championship since relocating in 2008.
Jones, who has stood by Haliburton since their college days at Iowa State, opened her post with heartfelt lines: 'every step of the way … a run we will remember for a lifetime. You are so amazing!'. She followed his postseason path—the last-second shots, the standout moments, and his determined leadership that led to a spot in the Finals.

Every stat and memory was evidence that underestimating him was just a mistake.
Significantly, Jones's use of #overratethat served as a direct response to the April poll where Haliburton was named the NBA's "most overrated player," having received 14.4% of the votes. She wasn't alone in this—Haliburton had previously fired back at critics with his viral X-post "Overrate THAT" following a 26-point, 9-assist Game 5 OT win over Milwaukee.
Now, Jones was backing up that same idea: they were keeping an eye on everything.

Beyond love and support, Jones' post radiated rallying energy. 'I will always be your biggest cheerleader. I will forever be so proud of you!! Our team's got you. We will be back, we're not finished yet!' she wrote. Citing "God's plan, God's timing," she conveyed a vibe of faith and defiance—vowing redemption when Haliburton is back on the court.

AFC on Alert: Kansas City Chiefs still cast the longest shadow in the conference

Chiefs AFC win analysis (Image via LAPRESSE) While the rest of the AFC reloads for a title push, the Kansas City Chiefs remain the team no one wants to face when it matters. Their recent Super Bowl stumble hasn't shaken their grip on the conference. With elite talent and proven leadership, the Chiefs aren't just surviving—they're still dominating. As training camps approach, the gap remains wider than rivals would like to admit. NFL Network analysts point to leadership, depth, and dynasty DNA NFL Network's Good Morning Football featured former running back Rashad Jennings, who emphasized why KC still rules the AFC. 'Patrick Mahomes, they have Andy Reid, Travis Kelce is still there, they're bringing back healthy receivers—in short, yes,' he said. Jennings added, 'They're the best team, they've built a dynasty, they made the Super Bowl last year—that's the only thing they could have done besides win.' That belief is echoed across NFL circles. The Chiefs enter the 2025 season with a roster that looks battle-ready and refreshed. Their receiving corps is recovering well, and with rookies and veterans stepping up, the offense could be even faster than last year. Jaylon Moore and Josh Simmons are projected to boost the O-line, offering more protection for Mahomes. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch CFD với công nghệ và tốc độ tốt hơn IC Markets Đăng ký Undo When Kansas City retools, they do it with precision and purpose. AFC challengers like Bills, Ravens, and Bengals still fall short It's not that Buffalo, Cincinnati, or Baltimore lack star power—it's that Kansas City continues to outperform when it counts. Despite playoff hype, none of these contenders have ousted the Chiefs over the last three postseasons. Mahomes continues to be the postseason's most reliable weapon, thriving under pressure and producing wins. Defensively, Kansas City retains its aggressive identity, and continuity in coaching gives them an edge over younger, reshuffled staffs. Their culture, chemistry, and experience create a barrier others can't yet cross. While other AFC teams hope to close the gap, Kansas City is already building toward another February run. And according to the NFL Network, no one has earned the right to claim their throne. With Mahomes at the helm and Reid on the sidelines, the standard remains sky-high. Until another team dethrones them in January, they're still the kings. King & Queen of the Ring Tournament Finals Set for WWE Night of Champions 2025

Image via WWE WWE is moving fast-paced towards its next major Premium Live Event, Night of Champions, taking place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. One of the prime highlights at the event will be the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments. For weeks, the competition was going on in full force. As the dust settled on this week's edition of Monday Night RAW, the finals were set in stone to crown the new King and Queen of the Ring this year. WWE Night of Champions will see the coronation of the King and Queen of the Ring The first semi-finals of the King and Queen of the Ring culminated at last week's edition of Friday Night SmackDown. On the women's side, it was Asuka who outlasted Alexa Bliss to advance in the tournament. On the other hand, Randy Orton defeated Sami Zayn to once again secure a spot in the finals of the King of the Ring tournament, much like he did last year. On this week's episode of RAW, the second semi-finals of the tournaments took place. In the first hour of the show, it was Jade Cargill who competed against Roxanne Perez. The NXT standout displayed a valiant effort against the much bigger Cargill, and both women delivered a spectacular showdown. As the dust settled, The Storm planted Perez with a thunderous Jaded to pick up the win. As the show progressed, it was time for the blockbuster match between close allies, Main Event Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes, in their semi-final bout. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Homburg: GEERS sucht 700 Testhörer für Hörgeräte ohne Zuzahlung GEERS Undo The duo threw their friendship out the window and hit each other with every heavy move in their arsenal. Jade Cargill will battle Asuka, while the former teacher protege duo, Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes, will compete against each other for the first time since Rhodes came back to WWE. Dilip Doshi: The magic spinner who helped India win historic 1981 MCG test with a broken foot

Former India left-arm spinner Dilip Doshi , who carved out a niche for himself despite being in the shadows of Bishan Singh Bedi , died due to cardiac arrest in London on Monday, the Saurashtra Cricket Association said. He was 77 and is survived by his wife Kalindi, son Nayan, who has also played first- class cricket, and daughter Vishakha. Doshi made his Test debut in 1979 after Bedi's retirement and played his last of his 33 games in 1983. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like This may be of interest to you! Undo In those matches, he took 114 wickets with six five-wicket hauls and was exceptional at home during the first three seasons, completing 100 scalps in just 28 Tests. 'Playing with fractured toe' His finest hour was getting five wickets in India's Test win at the MCG in 1981 when the visitors defended a paltry target. Live Events Doshi bowled with a fractured toe and was literally unplayable on an up-and-down MCG track. Doshi, Karsan Ghavri and the peerless Kapil Dev won that game for India. He was also a stalwart in English county circuit having plied his trade for more than a decade there. He represented Nottinghamshire and Warwickshire. In the Indian domestic circuit, he played for Bengal and Saurashtra. In all he had a staggering 898 first-class scalps with 43 five-fors. He was Bengal's go-to man in Ranji Trophy for years. While Bedi remains India's greatest left-arm spinner, Doshi was one of the most accurate bowlers who would flight the ball when required and was very accurate for the better part of his career. The touring Australian, English and West Indies teams found it difficult to handle his arm balls, and it was Javed Miandad, who actually hastened his exit from international cricket during the 1982-83 series against Pakistan. After retirement, he had migrated to London where he became a successful businessman. He would divide his time between London, Mumbai and Rajkot, and it was quite strange that the BCCI never bothered to use Doshi's expertise. Sir Gary's praise for Doshi Sir Garfield Sobers had once said of Doshi: "Dilip Doshi has an immeasurable knowledge to pass on to those who want to follow his path into professional cricket. He has played at all levels over the world and there can be no one more qualified to talk about the art of spin bowling." Cricket fraternity on Doshi's death Former India cricketer and coach Ravi Shastri wrote on X,"Really sad to hear about the passing of Dilip Doshi. Always immaculate, a gentleman to the core and a fine, fine bowler. Heartfelt condolences to his family. May his soul rest in peace." "Heartbreaking to hear about Dilip bhai's passing. May God give strength to his family and friends to bear this loss. Nayan, thinking of you buddy," former India captain and spinner Anil Kumble wrote on X. Sachin Tendulkar paid an emotional tribute on X, recalling their first meeting in the UK in 1990. 'I met Dilipbhai for the first time in the UK in 1990, and he bowled to me in the nets on that tour. He was really fond of me, and I reciprocated his feelings. A warm-hearted soul like Dilipbhai will be deeply missed. I will miss those cricketing conversations which we invariably had. May his soul rest in peace. Om Shanti,' Tendulkar wrote.
