The Block additional cast LEAKED in sensational twist set to shake the renovation series
Daily Mail can exclusively reveal that a select group of past Blockheads have been invited back to mentor, surprise and stir up the new contestants.
And according to one senior producer, the decision on who returned came down to one simple rule.
'We bring it up every year,' they told Daily Mail.
'It's the "no d**kheads" policy. We've had 150 teams over the years and we're mates with most of them—but not all.'
From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop.
This time, the returning favourites aren't just popping in for a cameo.
They're stepping into a bigger role designed to shake things up behind the scenes - and on camera.
'We wanted them to lift the energy and give the newbies a boost,' the insider revealed. 'They've lived through it and they get it - the pressure, the tears, the sleep deprivation.'
So, who's back? Fan favourites Eliza and Liberty, Kristy and Brett, Steph and Gian, Maddy and Charlotte, and even the original twin troublemakers Alisa and Lysandra have all been spotted on the Daylesford site.
And it seems Steph and Gian, in particular, aren't here to play it safe.
'They've got something major up their sleeves,' one crew member teased. 'This isn't just a warm welcome - it's going to shake the season.'
Insiders say the returning contestants will bring game-changing twists to mark the show's milestone 1000th episode later this year.
'It's not a cameo—it's a passing of the trowel,' one source joked. 'These guys earned their stripes. They know what's coming, and they're here to make it count.'
With tensions already rising and familiar faces back in the mix, this season is shaping up to be one of The Block's most unpredictable yet.
Daily Mail has reached out to Channel Nine for comment.
Filming on Channel Nine's The Block 2025 has been well underway in regional Victoria since March.
In April, aerial photos revealed that this year's season will feature some massive homes.
The sprawling construction site located in the tiny rural getaway of Daylesford, 112km from Melbourne, features five blocks.
Each of the two-storey homes follows an 'H'-shaped layout, complete with courtyard spaces at both the front and rear.
A photo from the site shows that one team of Blockheads is well ahead of their rivals.
The contestants appear to have already completed most of the roofing which features several skylights.
It's the renovation reality show that's become an Aussie TV juggernaut – but this year, The Block promises to deliver the most demanding season yet.
Five couples from across the country have spent months building homes from scratch under high pressure, racing against tight deadlines and under new rules that have left them frozen, frazzled and – at times – in tears.
This year's lineup includes WA police officers Britt and Taz, Perth pair Hannah and Can, Victorian couple Emma and Ben, Adelaide best mates Robby and Mat, and Gold Coast parents Sonny and Alicia.

Magda Szubanski breaks down in tears in moving acceptance speech as she is inducted into the 2025 Logies Hall of Fame
Magda Szubanski broke down on Sunday night as she gave an emotional acceptance speech via video call during her 2025 Logies Hall of Fame induction. The comedian, 64, was unable to attend the event in person because she is immunocompromised as she undergoes treatment for stage 4 cancer. But that didn't stop the Kath and Kim star from bringing the audience to tears with laughter and sadness as she graciously accepted the honour. 'I am so sorry I cannot be there. I do have a good excuse this time, normally I don't come because I can't be bothered getting out of my pyjamas,' she said. 'This time there really is a reason. I want to say first of all, let's get this out of the way, I have not been awarded this honour because I have the cancer.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'I am getting this because of 40 years of hard work. Lobbying, bribing, threatening, whatever it took. Finally it has all paid off,' she joked. Magda then struggled to contain her emotions as she thanked her friends, fans, and supporters. 'The love and support that I have felt, like a tsunami, from the Australian public, it has been overwhelming and I have to tell you, it really helps,' she began. 'I did not think I was going to cry,' she then added as she teared up. 'When I go online and look at those messages, every time, my heart lifts. And I feel that much stronger to deal with the cancer. 'So thank you for the love that you are pouring my way, I really feel it.' A wave of A-list stars stepped out to help induct Magda into the Hall of Fame on Sunday night. Today Extra co-host David Campbell introduced the segment, with Magda being the godmother to his daughter Betty, seven. Stars who shared their tributes included big names like Hamish Blake, Dannii Minogue, Ally Langdon, Julia Morris, and Poh Ling Yeow. The Irwins, Melissa McCarthy, Rebel Wilson, and Kathy Lette were also among many others who shared kind words for the Australian star. Marg Downey accepted the award on her behalf. Magda is the fifth woman to be inducted into the Hall of Fame since it was introduced in 1984. She has joined the likes of Ruth Cracknell, Noni Hazlehurst, Kerri-Anne Kennerley, and Rebecca Gibney. Two months ago, Magda revealed she had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. She appeared on camera with a shaved head to reveal the shocking news after beginning her treatment for cancer. 'Hello, my lovelies. So, the head is shaved in anticipation of it all falling out in a couple of weeks because I have just been diagnosed with a very rare, very aggressive, very serious lymphoma,' she said. Magda also revealed she has started treatment in Melbourne called the Nordic protocol, which treats mantle cell lymphoma by shrinking the tumours with a combination of drugs administered in five phases. It's known as the Nordic regimen based on its clinical trial sites in Denmark and Norway. The actress explained she will be 'lying very low' due to her weak immune system.

Zoë Foster Blake turns heads at the Logies for the wrong reasons as she's mocked for 'shower curtain' gown
Zoë Foster Blake was attracting attention at the Logies - and some would say for the wrong reasons. The 45-year-old had husband Hamish Blake on her arm as she walked the red carpet at The Star in Sydney. The skincare mogul chose an unusual gown for the occasion, consisting of pearl-toned panels. Inspired by Art Deco designs, the frock included large cuts-outs that showed off her midriff and a hint of bust. The skirting was semi-detached and featured an unusual triangular pattern. Zoë finished the ensemble with a pair of strappy black heels and pearl drop earrings, as well as a number of diamond rings. Not everyone appreciated the author's look, with some comparing it to a 'shower curtain' online. 'I normally love everything Zoë Foster Blake does, says, and wears, but her dress is giving me "I forgot my outfit so used the hotel shower curtain" vibes,' one Logies viewer commented online. Another chimed in: 'Is she wearing a shower curtain?!' Hamish, meanwhile, looked handsome on his wife's arm, contrasting her avant-garde fashion moment with a classic black tuxedo. It comes after news that Zoë is setting out to forge a new career in television. The Go-To skincare mogul has just sold the TV rights to her new novel Things Will Calm Down Soon. And there's a chance that Nicole Kidman will play the book's main character - a businesswoman with a resemblance to the real-life Blake. TV Tonight reported that Blake has made the deal with Sydney-based company Made Up Stories who plan to make the book as a series in the US. The high-profile outfit is led by producer Bruna Papandrea, who has a strong relationship with Kidman. The Hollywood superstar has already starred in a number of Made Up Stories productions, including HBO's The Undoing in 2020 and 2021's Nine Perfect Strangers as well as the Apple+ anthology series Roar in 2022. The Oscar winner also co-produced the 2017 HBO hit Big Little Lies with Papandrea. Blake, who shares Sonny, eight, and Rudy, five, with her radio star husband Hamish, also announced she will be an executive producer on the new series. Things Will Calm Down Soon centres on a 30-year-old hairstylist called Kit who sets out to launch her own product line. But things get complicated as the would-be corporate mogul tangles with investors amidst romantic disappointment and family demands.
