A screenshot claiming to show actor Karan Kundrra on dating app Bumble has set social media buzzing, but the actor himself insists it's nothing more than an old fake doing the rounds yet again. The viral picture, showing a man in a beige t-shirt with Kundrra's name and age listed as 40, quickly spread across platforms after first surfacing on Reddit. Fans were quick to speculate how the actor, who has been in a steady relationship with Tejasswi Prakash since Bigg Boss 15, could show up on a dating app.
But Kundrra is unfazed. In a chat with Hindustan Times, he said that the same screenshot resurfaces every few months, and both he and Tejasswi simply laugh it off. 'It's not even an account, it's just a topic for haters," Kundrra said, adding, 'It's the same screenshot!" he added, brushing off any catfishing rumours.
According to the actor, the profile even lists random locations that don't match where he actually is. 'Best part is that this time it's showing me in Kalyan. I am in Jalandhar with my family," he quipped.
He revealed this isn't new, noting that 'this has been happening for 3-4 years, nothing new. My fans sent me that… the screenshot springs up every 6-8 months."
Despite the fake profile going viral, Kundrra has chosen not to directly respond online. Instead, fans have debated its authenticity. While some dismissed it as 'badly edited," others pointed out that 'dating app verifications are flawed – fake profiles slip through all the time."
Adding an extra twist, many remembered that Kundrra had once been the face of Bumble while dating ex-girlfriend Anusha Dandekar. That connection has only fuelled chatter, though the actor's silence and light-hearted take show he isn't taking the matter too seriously.
For now, the fake profile has only entertained fans – and left Kundrra and Tejasswi sharing another laugh at social media's expense.
