R-Truth proved himself to be a true team player for WWE for more than a decade. He signed with the company in 2008 and captivated the audience with his comedic timing, impressive in-ring acumen, and ability to garner attention from the WWE Universe.
In June 2025, he announced via his social media that the promotion would not be renewing his contract, which came as a huge disappointment.
This came after Truth was involved in a program with the Undisputed WWE Champion,
John Cena
. The duo even had a spectacular match at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event, where loud cheers for Truth were evident. Following the aftermath of his departure from WWE, here are the three reasons the Stamford-based promotion should bring him back:
3. His comedic antics were a huge asset
One of the top attributes of R-Truth's WWE onscreen character was his comedic thrills.
The former WWE United States Champion could break out a laughter riot anytime he appeared on WWE television programming. From his hilarious segments involving the WWE 24/7 title to making stars like Brock Lesnar laugh, only R-Truth had that talent, which was a huge asset for WWE that they shockingly discarded.
2. R-Truth has been a longtime veteran who can still perform at the highest level
Much like many names like Randy Orton and Sheamus, R-Truth had been a longtime veteran in the global juggernaut.
He took part in every storyline WWE asked him to do and was a true team player for the company. Moreover, unlike his last foe John Cena who has admitted that he could no longer perform at the highest level in the ring, Truth, being five years older to him in real-life, still can go in the ring at his best, making him an essential addition to the WWE roster from a physical standpoint too.
1. Outpouring support from fans and peers received ever since he was released
The primary reason WWE should reconsider releasing R-Truth and sign him to a new deal is the overwhelming support he received after announcing his departure. Not only the large wrestling fan base, but his fellow peers in WWE also voiced their support for his contributions. Moreover, multiple chants for Truth broke out on RAW after the news of his release came out. With everyone wanting to see him back, it would surely be best for business.

Telangana's road network to get a boost: ₹6,478 crore sanctioned for HAM projects
To strengthen rural connectivity and regional infrastructure, the Telangana government has approved a ₹6,478 crore road development programme under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM), said Roads and Buildings (R&B) Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy. This project marks a major step in the State's push for balanced development. As part of phase 1, works will be taken up across 17 packages covering 373 roads with a total length of 5,190 km. Tenders have already been called and construction is set to begin shortly. 'This initiative will connect every village to its mandal and every mandal to its district headquarters with high-quality roads.' The plan envisions blacktop roads from all villages to mandal centres and double-lane roads from mandals to district headquarters, aiming to drastically improve transportation, access to services, and local mobility. Minister Venkat Reddy thanked Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for approving the plan promptly and reiterated that infrastructure is a core priority for the government. He also acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of senior officials from the R&B department and Special Chief Secretary Vikas Raj, who supervised multiple field visits and helped prepare a detailed project report. 'This government believes in growth that reaches the grassroots,' the Minister added. 'With HAM, we are not just laying roads — we're laying the path to Telangana's future.

Jaker Ali On Beating PAK: 'Only Count Match-Winning Runs, Rest Doesn't Register'
Jaker Ali's Player of the Match performance in the second T20I against Pakistan helped Bangladesh secure a historic series win. Jaker scored 55 off 48 balls. Jaker Ali, who delivered a Player of the Match performance during the second T20I against Pakistan, securing a historic series win for Bangladesh, stated, 'I only count match-winning runs. The rest doesn't register with me." After being reduced to 28/4 in Dhaka, Bangladesh captain Litton Das had to switch to Plan B, assigning Jaker Ali and Mahedi Hasan to proper batting roles. Promoted to number five, Jaker scored 55 off 48 balls while Mahedi counter-attacked with 33 off 25 balls, propelling Bangladesh to 133 in the first innings. Jaker revealed that his captain had given him a specific plan, which provided clarity on his goal. 'The captain had given me a separate plan after we lost wickets quickly. We had come into the game knowing that the conditions wouldn't allow for a high-scoring match. I thought it was a 155-160 wicket, but the captain told me to go for 140. He said, 'I have always batted at No. 7 since my age-group days, so I know how to bat with the tail. I once added 71 runs with the tail to score a century in the Under-17s. I don't worry too much about batting with the tail. I just try to save the guy at the other end, and get the runs." 'I knew well ahead that I would bat at No. 5. I was mentally prepared. I batted in this position in the West Indies too," he said. 'I stuck to my usual routines. I have been working at it for the last two years with our batting coach [Mohammad Salahuddin]. I only count match-winning runs. The rest doesn't register with me," he added. After Bangladesh clinched its first T20I series win by taking an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series, the Tigers will aim to complete a whitewash on Thursday.
