WWE SummerSlam 2025 just got bloodier as Solo Sikoa v Jacob Fatu 2.0 moves inside the Steel Cage
Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa (Image via WWE) WWE 's next big event in the run, SummerSlam 2025, is what anyone can talk about. The two-night event scheduled for Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3, 2025, is the 38th edition of this annual event and the buzz around it is exciting to say the least. And now the latest update has gotten fans even more thrilled. Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu will be facing each other again since Sikoa won the WWE United States Champion title belt from Fatu at the Night of Champions. And this time, things are going to be bloodier. Jacob Fatu vs. Solo Sikoa at SummerSlam will be a Steel Cage match Jacob Fatu has broken away from Solo Sikoa's faction, which is now the MFT - My Family Tree. And of course, this has not gone well with Sikoa or his 'family members'. More so, since Fatu actually came up to help Jimmy Uso after Sikoa and the MFT beat him when Uso challenged the current WWE United States Champion for his title. Not one to shy away from a good fight, the company has now decided to have Fatu and Sikoa face each other again. According to WrestleVotes, SummerSlam 2025, which will be held at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, will see Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu enter a Steel Cage match titled "Blood vs Blood." After the Night of Champions match in June, and then a subsequent confrontation at the Saturday Night Main Event, SummerSlam will be the next big stage for an explosive fight between these two heavyweights. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You To Read in 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo SummerSlam 2025 is shaping up to be a thrilling weekend So far, the two-night event has issued quite a few match cards. WWE Saturday Night's Main Event Live (July 12, 2025) Result: Solo Sikoa has help from the MFT in defending the United States Championship title against Jimmy Uso
Jimmy Uso v Solo Sikoa (Image via WWE) The United States Championship belt is up for grabs once more as Jimmy Uso comes for the title, this time with Solo Sikoa defending. Sikoa won the United States Championship title from Jacob Fatu after defeating him at the WWE Night of Champions. Now the two brothers are facing each other after an already heated match on SmackDown on July 11, when a minute distraction caused Sikoa to lose the match against Jimmy during their tag team bout. After losing against Jimmy Uso and LA Knight, Sikoa was even more inclined to lay it down on his brother, and the match was exciting to say the least. The power struggle in the Bloodline, if it can even be called that anymore continues, but it's the fans who are the real winners. Solo Sikoa defends his United States Champion title against Jimmy Uso Solo Sikoa makes his entry alongside MFT while Jimmy Uso was waiting for him at the ring. After yesterday's fight on SmackDown, everyone is looking forward to the big match. This is Jimmy's first-ever singles match for a championship in WWE , and Solo's first-ever defens of a title. Things started out hot, with both of the wrestlers coming in hot. Jimmy almost won after jumping on Solo from the top rope, but his opponent managed to kick him off right on time. Solo Sikoa (Image via WWE) Jimmy Uso had the upper hand for most of the match, and though Sikoa tried to change the tide a couple of times, Uso was able to bring things back on track. Unfortunately, the MFT, or specifically Talla Tonga, became the reason for his defeat. Just when it seemed like Solo was going to lose, he managed to change the whole scenario. Jimmy does a corkscrew off the top onto the entire group, but Talla Tonga comes in with a distraction. While he is trying to pile on the other, Solo uses this reprieve to roll Jimmy up, and Talla Tonga helps him by using his legs to keep Solo in place to take the win. Solo Sikoa defeats Jimmy Uso by pinfall. Things don't end there, as Jacob Fatu makes an entrance while the MFT are taking it out on Uso. Solo had him down with a Samoan Spike, but Fatu came in to shake things up. While it's not the Bloodline, a shift is incoming, and fans are waiting to see how things turn out. However, there is going to be one significant change for the former WWE United States Champion following his spectacular comeback. R-Truth will no longer be using his longtime WWE name moving forward According to the renowned wrestling journalist, Dave Meltzer, via Figure Four Daily Update, R-Truth will be using his real name, Ron Killings, in WWE moving forward. As per the report, Truth himself asked for the name change to one final true run as a WWE veteran. Moreover, it also stated that he would have used his real name as part of the television programming in WWE. This would allow him to pursue indie bookings once his new deal ended. 3 reasons WWE needs to bring back R-Truth after shocking release
Image via WWE R-Truth's WWE release came as a huge shocker for the entire wrestling industry. R-Truth proved himself to be a true team player for WWE for more than a decade. He signed with the company in 2008 and captivated the audience with his comedic timing, impressive in-ring acumen, and ability to garner attention from the WWE Universe. In June 2025, he announced via his social media that the promotion would not be renewing his contract, which came as a huge disappointment. This came after Truth was involved in a program with the Undisputed WWE Champion, John Cena . The duo even had a spectacular match at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event, where loud cheers for Truth were evident. Following the aftermath of his departure from WWE, here are the three reasons the Stamford-based promotion should bring him back: 3. His comedic antics were a huge asset One of the top attributes of R-Truth's WWE onscreen character was his comedic thrills. The former WWE United States Champion could break out a laughter riot anytime he appeared on WWE television programming. From his hilarious segments involving the WWE 24/7 title to making stars like Brock Lesnar laugh, only R-Truth had that talent, which was a huge asset for WWE that they shockingly discarded. 2. R-Truth has been a longtime veteran who can still perform at the highest level Much like many names like Randy Orton and Sheamus, R-Truth had been a longtime veteran in the global juggernaut. He took part in every storyline WWE asked him to do and was a true team player for the company. Moreover, unlike his last foe John Cena who has admitted that he could no longer perform at the highest level in the ring, Truth, being five years older to him in real-life, still can go in the ring at his best, making him an essential addition to the WWE roster from a physical standpoint too. 1. Outpouring support from fans and peers received ever since he was released The primary reason WWE should reconsider releasing R-Truth and sign him to a new deal is the overwhelming support he received after announcing his departure. Not only the large wrestling fan base, but his fellow peers in WWE also voiced their support for his contributions. Moreover, multiple chants for Truth broke out on RAW after the news of his release came out. With everyone wanting to see him back, it would surely be best for business.
