How To Play Quordle
For any newcomers joining us, here's how to play Quordle: Just start typing in words. You have four five-letter words to guess and nine attempts to find them all. The catch is that you play all four words simultaneously.
If you get a letter in the right place for any of the four words, it will light up in green. If a word contains a letter from one of your guesses but it's in the wrong place, it will appear in yellow. You could always check out the practice games before taking on the daily puzzle.

YouTube is thinking about letting you avoid video comments entirely on mobile

Tapping a new dropdown arrow next to the video's title reveals the hidden information, such as the creator's channel details and subscriber count. This change declutters the screen to show more related videos, but adds an extra tap for users who want to read comments or visit the creator's channel. To stay ahead of the competition, YouTube constantly tests UI changes to improve engagement and retention. It feels like we can't go a week without seeing some changes that polarize users. The latest change we've spotted continues this trend: it will likely please viewers who dislike the comments section but annoy those who enjoy browsing creator channels. Earlier today, Discord user gelatinized tipped us off to a new video player UI they're seeing in the YouTube mobile app. In screenshots they shared, several elements below the video are now hidden by default, including the channel logo, name, subscriber count, and text labels for buttons like 'Share,' 'Ask,' and 'Download.' Most notably, the comments box is also tucked away. These elements aren't gone for good, though, as tapping a new dropdown arrow to the right of the video's title reveals them. Current UI New UI with comments and channel info hidden New UI with everything expanded The clearest benefit of this new UI is that it lets you see more on screen, including more action buttons and related video thumbnails, without needing to scroll. However, the decision to hide key information is likely to be polarizing. For instance, tucking away the comments section is a plus for anyone trying to avoid spoilers, but it will frustrate viewers who like to read top comments before a video starts. Similarly, hiding all channel information could annoy users who want to quickly identify the creator or browse their other content. Although this information hasn't been removed, placing it all behind an extra tap may disrupt the viewing habits of many. So far, we've only seen one other report of this UI from a user on the /r/YouTube subreddit, and they weren't happy with the change. That makes us curious to hear what you think. NYT Strands Hints For Thursday, July 31: Today's Spangram And Answers (Half-Baked)
Today's NYT Strands hints and answers. Before today's Strands hints, spangram and answers, here are Wednesday's: Hey, folks! Today's NYT Strands hints, spangram and answers for Thursday, July 31 are coming right up. How To Play Strands The New York Times' Strands puzzle is a play on the classic word search. It's available on the NYT website and in the NYT Games app alongside the likes of Wordle and Connections (which we also cover in daily guides at Forbes Gaming). There's a new game of Strands to play every day. The game will present you with a six by eight grid of letters. The aim is to find a group of words that have something in common, and you'll get a clue as to what that theme is. When you find a theme word, it will remain highlighted in blue. You'll also need to find a special word called a spangram. This tells you what the words have in common. The spangram links at least two sides of the board, but it may not start or end there. While the theme words will not be a proper name, the spangram can be a proper name. When you find the spangram, it will remain highlighted in yellow. Every letter is used once in one of the theme words and spangram. You can connect letters vertically, horizontally and diagonally, and it's possible to switch directions in the middle of a word. If you're playing on a touchscreen, double tap the last letter to submit your guess. If you find three valid words of at least four letters that are not part of the theme, you'll unlock the Hint button. Clicking this will highlight the letters that make up one of the theme words. Be warned: You'll need to be on your toes. Sometimes you'll need to fill the missing word(s) in a phrase. On other days, the game may revolve around synonyms or homophones. The difficulty will vary from day to day, and the puzzle creators will try to surprise you sometimes. What Is Today's Strands Hint? Scroll slowly! Not exactly the most difficult theme to figure out, but I did spend a very long time looking at "pies" instead of the spangram, which was PIECE OF CAKE.
