Kilkenny announce side to face Galway in Leinster hurling final
KILKENNY HAVE NAMED their team for Sunday's Leinster SHC final meeting with Galway in Croke Park [4pm, RTÉ2].
Manager Derek Lyng has welcomed back a host of key players after heavily rotating his side for the final round Leinster clash with Wexford.
Thirteen of the starting XV also started last year's Leinster final win, with Jordan Molloy and Stephen Donnelly the two exceptions.
Mikey Butler, Huw Lawlor, Mikey Carey and Paddy Deegan all return in the Kilkenny defence.
Cian Kenny starts alongside Jordan Molloy in midfield.

Billy Ryan returns to the half forward line while Martin Keoghan is named at corner forward.
On the Kilkenny bench, Marty Murphy is listed among the replacements after scoring 1-2 in last weekend's All-Ireland U20 hurling final defeat to Tipperary.
Eoin Cody remains unavailable through injury.

Waterford 2-21 Kilkenny 2-18 WATERFORD HAVE PROGRESSED to a first All-Ireland minor hurling final since 2013 after getting the better of Kilkenny in a four-goal battle in Wexford Park. A haul of 2-6 from Cormac Spain proved decisive as Waterford held off a late Kilkenny fightback to advance to the decider. Jake Mullen got the last score of the half to give Kilkenny a 1-10 to 1-7 lead at the break. The sides were level at 1-14 apiece 11 minutes into the second half before Spain grabbed his second goal of the game to open up a four-point lead for Waterford. Tailteann Cup Quarter-Final Results Fermanagh 0-21 Sligo 1-16 Kildare 1-17 Offaly 0-19 **** FERMANAGH AND KILDARE have booked their place in the Tailteann Cup semi-finals following respective victories over Sligo and Offaly. 'Sligo GAA this evening expressed its thanks and appreciation for the contribution over the past five years of Tony McEntee who has announced that he is standing down from his position as senior team manager,' a statement from Sligo GAA. 'The Crossmaglen native took charge of Sligo in spring 2021. He led the team on 58 occasions, making him the longest serving manager in Sligo history, winning 34 games, the highest winning percentage of any Sligo manager. Sligo were back to within one after a David Quinn two-pointer but Fermanagh shifted through the gears and hit four unanswered points. Sligo fought back again as Pat Spillane landed a two-pointer and another point to cut the deficit to two at the death, but it wasn't enough as Fermangh sealed the win. The Lilywhites were 1-13 to 0-9 in front with just under 25 minutes remaining, but were just four ahead with 17 minutes to go. Walsh lands late free to complete Galway rally and secure preliminary quarter-final place
Galway 2-22 Armagh 0-27 Steve Malone reports from Kingspan Breffni SHANE WALSH KICKED a late pressure free right at the hooter to complete a brilliant second-half comeback from Galway, and secure safe passage to the All-Ireland preliminary quarter-finals. Galway's season was in danger at half-time as they trailed by eight points, but Pádraic Joyce's side produced a huge response after the break. John Maher and Rob Finnerty scored crucial goals before Walsh nailed that late free to secure the win. That result, combined with Dublin's victory over Derry sees Galway safely through while Armagh are already certain of a place in the All-Ireland quarter-finals.
