On March 14-15, 2025, the Sand Sports Park at Sports Boulevard will host the Sand Dunes Festival in an outdoor space spanning 20 square kilometers, located near King Khalid International Airport.

The Sand Dunes Festival 2025 is a completely free event that caters to the needs of all age groups. It features outstanding cycling and running events, in addition to thrilling family-friendly activities.
The extraordinary festival will start with the cycling event on March 14, 2025. At 9 pm, cyclists of all ages and skill levels will enjoy riding across a variety of courses.
Children aged 8 and above can have fun at the 4 km course, while more skilled cyclists can enjoy cycling across more challenging distances at the 7 km, 15.7 km, or 31.4 km courses.
On March 15, the running event will start at 9 pm, offering a diverse range of distances that suit runners of all fitness levels. Children aged 8 and above can enjoy the 2 km run. Meanwhile, more professional runners can challenge themselves at the 4 km, 8.5 km, or 13 km races.
Moreover, spectators can enjoy the Sand Dunes Festival 2025 through a wide array of activities. The event will feature food stalls serving a variety of local and international dishes, in addition to entertainment activities and family-friendly games. It will also include dedicated areas to cheer for the participants.
