Mohit Suri
is celebrating two big milestones — his new romantic drama Saiyaara has earned over Rs 132 crore at the Indian box office in just five days, and he has also completed 20 years in the Hindi film industry.
Suri started his journey as a director in 2005 with Zeher, a romantic drama starring Emraan Hashmi and Shamita Shetty.
Although Zeher didn't do well at the box office, its music became very popular. One song in particular, 'Woh Lamhe Woh Baatein,' sung by
Atif Aslam
, became a timeless romantic hit. But at first, Suri didn't like how the song sounded.
'I remember clearly, I had heard the programming of 'Woh Lamhe Woh Baatein' by a very senior music director. And I got very depressed because he'd ruined the song. And I started crying. So, Mukesh ji started laughing at me. He said, 'Stop, you don't have to cry and all. We'll do something.' I was 22-23 years old,' Suri said in a chat with music composer
Mithoon
for SCREEN.
Mukesh Bhatt
, the film's producer, then took Suri to meet another music director. By chance, they ran into
Naresh Sharma
, a well-known music arranger and Bhatt's old collaborator. Bhatt had great respect for Sharma and spoke about his past work.
'He exchanged the hellos and his with Naresh ji, came back to me, and gave me a whole brief on how your father was instrumental in the music and background score of Aashiqui (1990) and Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin (1991).

He was the main person who arranged the music of Aashiqui,' Suri told Mithoon.
Naresh Sharma then mentioned that his son, Mithoon, also did background scores. Bhatt suggested that Suri meet him.
'I said hi to you, I don't think you even looked at me. You were so into your music that you went back into it. I don't think you cared at that time. Your dad insisted these youngsters should work together. You were 19, I guess,' Suri recalled.
He added, 'There was some honesty in the way you were doing it. If you looked at me properly, socialized with me — I mean I was a nobody, I hadn't done anything — but Mukesh Bhatt, who's known for his music, if you'd overdone that, (I wouldn't have worked with you). But you were so spiritual about your music.'
That's how Mithoon ended up composing the final version of 'Woh Lamhe Woh Baatein.

And took delivery from the same person who gave X7 delivery to Thalaivar, shamelessly asked them. Inspired, blessed,' she added. See the fan's post with pictures: When Rajinikanth was insulted by a producer For those unaware, Rajinikanth once recalled an insulting moment in his life during the Darbar audio launch. Speaking at the event, the superstar narrated how he was offered a positive character in another actor's movie, and a remuneration of Rs 6000 was finalized. The actor who wasn't a superstar at that time agreed to the salary and asked for Rs 100 or 200 as an advance. However, the producer refrained from paying the amount and assured it would be given to him on the day of shoot. On the first day of shoot, Rajinkanth was asked to put on his makeup, but refused to apply it until an advance was paid. The actor said, 'The production manager told me that the hero had arrived and asked me to sit for makeup. I refused. I told him that I wouldn't proceed without getting Rs 1000.' Knowing this, the producer became furious and insulted Rajinikanth, refusing to give him a role in the movie and making the actor walk home all by himself. The superstar added, 'That was when I realized that if I do not come back to AVM Studios in a foreign car, then I am not Rajinikanth.' Concluding his words of motivation, the Coolie actor revealed how he fulfilled the promise to himself, appearing at the same AVM Studios in his Italian Fiat with the numberplate 5004, smoking a cigarette and looking regal.

Sana Raees Khan on the quashing of FIR against Tanu Weds Manu producer: This judgment protects countless others from malicious prosecution

Sana Raees Khan and Shailesh R Singh The Supreme Court recently quashed a cheating case filed against Bollywood producer Shailesh R Singh, known for films like Tanu Weds Manu . The court observed that monetary recovery cannot be sought through criminal proceedings or police intervention, stating that such disputes should be resolved through appropriate civil mechanisms. The bench also expressed displeasure at the manner in which the Allahabad High Court dealt with Singh's petition to quash the FIR lodged by complainant Kunal Jain. T he dispute arose after the film Lady Killer, produced by Singh, underperformed at the box office. The complainant, who had invested money in the project, allegedly failed to recover his investment with interest and subsequently filed a criminal case. Advocate Sana Raees Khan, representing Singh, argued that the FIR stemmed from a civil dispute that had been wrongly given a criminal colour. She pointed out that Singh is the co-founder and production head of a company engaged in the production of motion pictures, and that a commercial disagreement was being misrepresented as a criminal offence. Khan told the court that the FIR did not disclose any prima facie case of cheating or criminal intent. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Villas For Sale in Dubai Might Surprise You Villas in Dubai | Search Ads Get Info Undo She argued, 'In order to constitute the offence of cheating, there must be evidence indicating that the accused intended to deceive the complainant right from the beginning. A plain reading of the FIR, which alleges that an amount of ₹9.56 crore is due from the petitioner, fails to establish any element of criminality. ' She further highlighted that the High Court had directed Singh to undergo mediation and deposit ₹25 lakh in advance with the complainant before mediation proceedings — a move she said prejudged the outcome and undermined the very purpose of the quashing petition. Commenting on the outcome, Sana told us, 'This landmark judgment not only protects my client Shailesh Singh but also offers relief to countless others facing malicious prosecutions. I am proud to have led this legal battle and secured a precedent that upholds the sanctity of criminal justice. It's a verdict that will resonate far beyond this case. I remain deeply respectful of the judiciary's wisdom.'

'Enough about me': Dimple Kapadia's unexpected remark once left Saiyaara's Rajesh Kumar stunned

Rajesh Kumar recalls a 'beautiful moment' from a conversation he had with Dimple Kapadia. Rajesh Kumar was recently seen in Saiyaara playing the role of Aneet Padda's dad. He is popularly known as Rosesh Kumar from the TV sitcom, Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai, which starred Ratna Pathak Shah and Rupali Ganguly. Recently, in an interview, the actor opened up about how there's a lack of conversation between an experienced and a successful person. He talked about how he made an effort to bond with his co-stars while filming Saiyaara to build an emotional bond that would reflect on the screen as well. During the same interview, he remembered a special and beautiful moment from his past, a conversation with Bollywood diva Dimple Kapadia. 'Enough about me — can I get to know you now?' That one line from Dimple Kapadia stayed with Rajesh Kumar long after the shoot wrapped. In a recent interview with Galatta India, the Sarabhai vs Sarabhai actor fondly recalled a beautiful moment he shared with the veteran actress while filming Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya in Jaisalmer. Rajesh revealed that while they were shooting in Jaisalmer, during a shift break, a few people were sitting around — Dimple Kapadia included. Everyone started talking about her films, her iconic songs, her performances — it was all about her. But then, Dimple Kapadia did something unexpected. After a few minutes, she smiled and said, "Okay, okay, enough about me… can I get to know you all now?" That simple question changed the tone of the conversation completely. For Rajesh Kumar, that's when the real conversation started. According to him, the general notion is to shower praise on a successful person one meets and then move on, and the other person just politely expresses gratitude. He reflected on how rare it is to have genuine human interactions in the fast-paced world of film sets. He mentioned how actors spend 12 hours a day working together, but do not even know each other's stories. But his moment with Dimple Kapadia continues to remind him of how much actors miss out in their work environment if they are not making efforts to connect.
