Loose Women set for major cast shake-up as ITV plan to replace the entire panel for one week only

Daily Mail2 days ago
Loose Women fans are in for a treat this week as the show is set for a one-off 'Loose Doctors' special.
The hit ITV daytime show will change up their panel this Wednesday with a different array of faces, including Dr Amir Khan, Dr Zoe Williams, Dr Hilary Jones and Dr Nighat Arif.
The medics will examine the health issues that matter most to viewers, as well as explaining how we can all improve our own wellbeing.
The special follows on from other one-off versions of the programme including Loose Men panels on International Men's Day.
Excited about the new prospect, Dr Amir said to The Mirror: 'This is the first time four of ITV's Daytime doctors will be on the panel together to look at the health issues that affect us all.
'We'll be sharing our expert medical advice and having some very candid conversations about the things that our patients are often too embarrassed to talk about, but shouldn't be, and hopefully giving them the confidence to make the most of their appointments.
'I'm really looking forward to the episode and hope that viewers will enjoy it, as well as learning some important and potentially life saving tips too.'
Meanwhile, Dr Hilary, who works closely with Lorraine Kelly on screen, said: 'I think viewers are going to love the first-ever Loose Doctors episode.
'You'll see four of ITV's Daytime doctors open up about their personal journeys whilst offering some of our tips to look after you and your family. I hope that viewers will learn a lot and be entertained at the same time as we open the Loose Doctors doors for the first time.'
It comes after panelist Linda Robson shared her fears as she ' prays' for the future of the ITV programme after huge budget cuts.
It was revealed back in May the show has been axed for half the year and Lorraine's runtime has been slashed by 30 minutes, as Daytime bosses announced cuts with job losses in excess of 220.
According to insiders, once ITV's budget cuts come into effect in January, Loose Women will no longer have A-list guests in the studio, and the broadcast is planned to only consist of the panel debating newsworthy topics from the week.
Speaking at National Reality TV Awards in London, Linda said: 'We are all rallying together. It will be very sad if we can't have guests.
'It's a shame people are losing their jobs. We're all like a family. We've been together through births, marriages, deaths. It's been very hard. Everyone's worried about the show.
'We're just trying to stay positive and hope for the best. But hopefully it's not going be as bad as it already is,' The Mirror reports.
Recently Loose lady Janet Street-Porter revealed which stars are at risk from brutal cost-saving cuts by ITV - and which panelists are safe.
The 78-year-old has shed light on the reality behind the looming cuts proposed by the broadcaster, which are set to impact several daytime shows.
Janet appears certain that the 'older' Loose Women stars are not likely to be cut, given they appeal more directly to the show's target demographic.
But she warns that newcomers, younger stars or those with less experience could be at risk.
'There are no plans to get rid of the older women despite what some people have said,' Janet said.

Former Big Brother star Charley Uchea gets engaged to mystery man just weeks after she was 'left for dead' in shock car crash

Former Big Brother star Charley Uchea has got engaged to a mystery man just weeks after she was 'left for dead' in a shock car crash. The reality star, 40, who rose to fame on the eighth series of Big Brother in 2007, shared the happy news on Instagram on Monday. The clip began with a blurry close-up of her huge diamond ring after being propose to by her partner, 43, who she has not named publicly. Charley was also seen relaxing on a sofa wearing a grey silk nightgown as she held her hand up displaying the rock. 'A real man leads with love, protects with presence, and builds with purpose,' Charley captioned the video. She also wrote: 'Two things I know for sure — I'm not where I used to be, and God is still leading me somewhere greater ❤️.' In another post from a few days before, Charley put on a very racy display with her fiance in pictures taken from the same day - with her ring again on show. The engaged couple gazed into each others' eyes as Charley sat on his knee, with both wearing the matching silk dressing gowns. 'Nights like this with your favorite person,' she captioned the pictures. The announcement came just weeks after Charley was rushed to hospital after allegedly being 'left for dead' in a shocking car crash. She took to her Instagram Stories last month to detail the shocking incident, telling fans she had been hit by a truck. She got into the crash after spending the evening out and claimed that she was 'left for dead' on the side of the road after being 'knocked out'. Charley shared a video of herself in hospital wearing a neck brace. She had painful-looking red injuries across her eyebrow and cheek and claimed she could barely use her arms following the crash. She penned in a caption: 'Bless my nurse brushing my hair out, I can't really use my arms atm I'm so weak.' Alongside another picture of a smashed-up car, she added: 'Look at the damage this truck did just by hitting me, then leaves me [for] dead on the side of the road.' Charley also shared a photograph of herself out on the town before the crash and penned: 'Such a nice night before I ended up in the air lol and knocked out.' Charley, who celebrated her 40th birthday just days before on June 30, reassured her 251,000 followers that she would be 'home soon'. MailOnline contacted Charley for further comment at the time. Charley is best known for her 2007 Big Brother stint in the same year that Brian Belo was crowned the winner. She survived eviction until week eight, and was famously argumentative; rowing with Chanelle Hayes for ten minutes about how old Rihanna was. Charley was also attacked with a racist slur by fellow housemate Emily Parr, who was aged 19 at the time. Emily was ejected from the house in the early hours of the morning after she was heard using the N-word to Charley while they were chatting in the garden hours before. Both Charley and Nicky Maxwell, who was also present, were stunned at her use of the word however Emily swiftly insisted it 'was a joke'. She was later called to the diary room and told of her ejection by Big Brother. At the time of Emily's removal, Head of the Big Brother commissioning team at Channel 4, Angela Jain, said after the incident: 'In the wake of Celebrity Big Brother, we must consider the potential offence to viewers regardless of Emily's intentions and her housemates' response. 'The word is clearly racially offensive and there was no justification for its use. 'We have removed Emily from the house to once again make it clear to all housemates and the viewers at home that such behaviour won't be tolerated.'

However the star has left his wild antics behind and now priorities his well being with his 'health trip' seeing him cutting back on booze and stop drug taking. He previously told The Sun: 'You've got to undo all the bad work you've done through f***ing getting off your head and all that. 'It's time to undo it all now and get back to reality. All that stuff that you thought was cool in the early days . . . it's time to get healthy.' 'As you get older, life is precious, do you know what I mean? I'm a pretty happy-go-lucky guy. I love waking up early in the morning.' Meanwhile it was also revealed Liam has been drinking apple cider vinegar on the Oasis tour after vowing to ditch the booze. Before the reunion gigs kicked off, Liam vowed to cut alcohol out his diet to keep his voice in check for the stage. After years of drinking heavily on tour in the nineties, Liam prefers a glass of the soft drink. Liam has previously spoke about his love for apple cider vinegar and honey and how it helps his voice. He said: 'I drink a lot of funky drinks. I have this apple cider vinegar, the one that everyone bangs on about. 'So I have vinegar, some honey and then I have some turmeric, some cayenne pepper, a squirt of lemon, hot water, stir it round and drink it. 'It's really good for when you get a hoarse voice. I've got a thyroid problem – Hashimoto's disease – so I can get a really hoarse voice.' In 2023 Liam revealed that he needed the joints replacing in his hip due to arthritis as a result of a longstanding thyroid problem. He then underwent a major hip operation. The lady was going, 'Oh, you might need a hip operation, a replacement.'' He said at the time he didn't want the operation because of the 'stigma'. 'I think I'd rather just be in pain. Which is ridiculous, obviously. I know that. Just get them fixed. But it's the stigma, saying you've had your hips replaced. What's next?' Taking to social media he penned: 'Morning Rastas so I had my Hip operation last wk all went well and RESPEK to all the doctors n nurses who looked after me Big shout out to the A team for getting us home safe n sound' He told MoJo magazine: 'When the weather's cold, my hips are like snap, crackle and pop. I need warmth. 'I can't sleep at night for the pain. Tossing and turning. So I'm on herbal sleeping tablets and they've saved my life. One of them, seven hours out, no pain, nothing. 'My new thing is Deep Heat. Caked myself in it on the knees and hips, the calves, then into the steam room for as long as I can handle it.' Liam, a keen jogger, was told by doctors to run less to help manage the condition. In the interview he also spoke about his psoriasis, saying he once met a fan who thought he had cocaine in his hair - but it was actually bits of skin from his itchy scalp. He said: 'I've got psoriasis, so I had obviously been scratching it during the day and there were little white bits and s**t. They were taking it out of my hair and putting it on their gums and putting it up their f***ing nose!' Taking to Twitter last February he said of having his hip operation: 'Morning Rastas so I had my Hip operation last wk [week] all went well and RESPEK [respect] to all the doctors n nurses who looked after me Big shout out to the A team for getting us home safe n sound. 'You know who you are and Florence guru I love and adore you Riverdance here I come LG x'.
