Nidhi Bhanushali, who is best known for playing Sonu in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, remained away from the spotlight following her exit from the popular sitcom. So, when Nidhi took a trip to Banaras, she treated her fans by sharing some glimpses. Taking to her Instagram account on Monday, August 11, the actress shared two pictures from the hustling and bustling lanes of Banaras. Nidhi was seen dressed in a white and red saree, paired with a matching sleeveless blouse. With minimal accessories, including dangling earrings, a nose pin and sunglasses, she added just the right amount of modern touch to her traditional outfit.
In the first image, the former TMKOC actress was seen standing in a narrow lane in the City of Temples, surrounded by small shops and the everyday buzz of Banaras. Through the second photo, Nidhi gave her 1.2 million followers a closer look at her simple yet chic look and how she had taken the classic saree and added her own edge to it. Alongside the pictures, Nidhi thoughtfully wrote, 'Lost or found?"

When Nidhi Bhanushali Shared About Her Day In Banaras
Just weeks back, Nidhi posted a series of pictures from her trip to Banaras. Wearing the same saree, she was captured visiting temples, the holy Ganga, a saree store, a book store and having various special delicacies of the city. The carousel also featured a bunch of photos through which she captured the day-to-day lives of people residing at the place.
In the caption, she wrote, 'Banaras in a day. The overflowing Ganga, the chaos that calms, heat that melts you and your kulhad lassi, good food in every gali, and of course… sarees that called my name. Varanasi, you're mad, magical, and unforgettable."

What's Nidhi Bhanushali Up To These Days?
Nidhi Bhanushali replaced Jheel Mehta as Sonu and was a part of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah from 2012 to 2017. After leaving the show, she took a significant break from acting. After her hiatus, Nidhi returned to the screens in 2024 with the TVF series Sisterhood. Directed by Nayana Shyam, the show also featured Bhagyashree Madhav Limaye, Anvesha Vij and Nitya Mathur in the lead roles. More recently, Nidhi was seen in the series Yaar Log.
