2 arrested in connection with Prosper graduation party incident that left 8 hospitalized
Two individuals have been arrested in connection with a graduation party incident where eight Prosper ISD students were hospitalized.
The suspects, Kyle Muchineuta (17) and Cesar Omana (18), face charges of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
The conditions of the hospitalized students and the specific substances involved have not been released.
PROSPER, Texas - The Prosper Police Department today announced the arrests of two individuals connected to an incident at an overnight graduation party, where eight Prosper ISD students required medical attention and were transported to the hospital.
Prosper Detectives developed leads identifying two suspects believed to be responsible for the medical emergencies that took place in the 1600 block of Coit Road in the early morning hours on May 17.
The suspects, identified as Kyle Muchineuta, 17 years old, of Prosper, and Cesar Omana, 18 years old, of Frisco, were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Collin County Jail for booking.
On May 21, Prosper police detectives secured arrest warrants for Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance under Texas Health and Safety Code Sec. 481.113, a first-degree felony.

According to a spokesperson for the town of Prosper, police and paramedics were called to the scene of the overnight graduation party at 2:25 a.m. on Saturday.
"Paramedics from Prosper, Celina, and Frisco treated multiple individuals experiencing medical distress and transported eight patients to local hospitals. The Prosper Police Department is conducting an ongoing investigation into the matter," said Prosper Director of Communications Todd Rice.
The lock-in ended early, officials said.

'You can do that in various ways…yelling, clapping. 'We always had milk jugs with rocks in them. So just like shaking something, just a weird sound.' She also said the tone of your voice makes a huge difference, so you want to yell in a deep and assertive tone. Bite sticks are also a great way to stop a dog attack. 'The other thing is a bite stick,' Dr. Washington said. 'You can use the bite stick to stick in their mouth and pry their mouth open.' Pepper spray is also good to carry, she said. One person injured in Kansas City shooting near 99th, Holmes
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Police Department (KCPD) is investigating a shooting at the intersection of 99th Street and Holmes Road on Wednesday afternoon. Kansas City police investigating 2024 death of 2-month-old baby as homicide
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 2-month-old baby boy in Kansas City died last fall, and police say the child's death is now being investigated as a homicide. The child, identified by Kansas City police as Mateo Rideout, died on Nov. 5, days after he was injured and rushed to Children's Mercy Hospital. Kansas City police were first notified of the incident about 6:30 p.m. Oct. 26, 2024. According to police, officers were called to Children's Mercy Hospital to investigate an assault that reportedly occurred on Northwest Milrey Drive near Northwest 80th Street in the Northland. Hospital staff members told police that the baby was brought in and had life-threatening injuries. Police did not disclose how the child was hurt. One person was detained for questioning at the time. Then, on Nov. 5, 2024, the baby died as a result of the injuries, two months after he was born. The incident was being investigated as a suspicious death until detectives received an official autopsy report form the medical examiner's office in June, ruling the death a homicide.
