Ryan Yarbrough isn't exactly dreading it, but the New York Yankees left-hander knows getting his World Series ring from the Los Angeles Dodgers, but he isn't exactly looking forward to it either. He admitted it's a bit awkward, considering the Dodgers beat the Yankees in the Fall Classic and then proceeded to spike the football again and again this winter.

In fact, the ring includes a subtle slap across the face of the Yankees. The ring features five diamonds on the back band, a nod to the fifth inning of the fifth game, during which the Yankees melted down.
Yarbrough may not have been in the clubhouse with the Yankees last October, but he understands the sting. He explained how much he has thought about this on Friday's edition of "Foul Territory."
'When I signed here, I figured I'd stash that thing away quick and maybe look at it later. But no, I definitely can't be bringing that thing around.'
And if a teammate asks to see it? 'We'll just sneak a peek. If someone what to see it, we'll have to keep it low key.

Yarbrough earned that ring, pitching in 32 games out of the bullpen for the Dodgers in 2023 and part of 2024 before he was traded.
After being released by the Toronto Blue Jays this spring, Yarbrough has had a resurgence with the Yankees. Instead of a bullpen regular, he's done an exceptional job having moved into the rotation.
He has quietly been one of the more reliable arms for the Yankees in 2025. Over his first four starts, he posted a solid 2.25 ERA across 20 innings while striking out 19 batters. His ability to eat innings and keep hitters off balance has made him a valuable piece for the Yankees as they navigate injuries to the starters. While not flashy, Yarbrough's consistent performance has provided much-needed stability and depth.
And while he definitely values a World Series ring, he also values his spot with the Yankees.
