Feather Alert issued for missing East Bay woman
(KRON) — A Feather Alert has been issued for a missing East Bay woman, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) announced Thursday. Shavonne Muth, 30, was last seen around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday in Castro Valley.
Muth is 5-foot-7 tall, weighs 150 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes, according to CHP. She is believed to be on foot. CHP posted about Muth's disappearance at 7:39 p.m. on X.
Oakland kidnapping victim comes forward to police
A Feather Alert notifies the public about the potential 'suspicious or unexplainable disappearance of an indigenous woman or indigenous person,' says CHP.
CHP says anyone who sees Muth is asked to call 911.

Man charged after drug sale shooting in Overland: Records
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A man is facing felony charges after allegedly shooting a man in the head after a drug sale last month. According to police, KeShaun Whitfield and another individual were in the 9600 block of Cote Brilliante on the night of May 22, meeting a man to purchase marijuana from. A Cuyahoga County grand jury on Monday, June 2, indicted James E. Collins, 43, of Cleveland, on three counts of rape, two counts of kidnapping and one count of felonious assault in the attack, alleged to have happened near East 79th Street and Rawlings Avenue. Bullets, graffiti hinder restoration work on historic Michigan lighthouse
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A northern Michigan group is working to restore a historic lighthouse. Now, they're not only fighting Mother Nature and Father Time, but an alleged vandal, as well. Erin Griebe, the chairperson of the , says volunteers first noticed bullet holes in the lamp room last fall. 'That's very expensive glass to replace. It's all custom because this is a very old historic building, and once the integrity of the glass is disrupted with bullet holes, you have to make those repairs,' Griebe . Volunteers made those repairs but noticed new ones a few weeks ago. Frankfort Police Chief Mark Ketz said it's clear this is not an 'isolated incident.' Nitrous oxide abuse up more than 500% in Michigan 'You've got these volunteers that are out here donating their own time to help protect this piece of history, and this damage is hindering that process,' Ketz told UpNorthLive. In addition to the bullet holes, the lighthouse has long been a target of graffiti. 'It's just years and years of build up and paint and, you know, if we're going to spend all this money, donated money to entirely clean this down to the bare metal and then restore it to pristine condition, is this just going to happen again?' Ketz said. The restoration project was estimated to cost $1.1 million in 2022. Griebe already knows the costs will surpass that estimate and wants to avoid any other unnecessary work.
